I wish I could get unexpected vape mail. I track my shipments so closely and so often, I already know when they're gonna arrive early, lol.

I'm a man, and I can change, if I have to, I guess.
Me too. It's not actually in my hands yet but it will be when I get home from work tonight. I might be a little addicted to the tracking website.

The very moment I see the email that something has shipped, it immediately gets copy and pasted to the USPS website, and named so I know what it is. And I will check the status on my orders multiple times a day. I don't think that's very healthy but I don't care.

I'm glad I'm not the only one :thumb: I do the exact same thing, shipped, tracked, named and text alerts.

I'm done buying atomizers, ended up with a few more than planned or needed because they were on close out but they were the least expensive part. There's more nic in the plan but i procastinate because it's still readily available and why not get fresher later. That leaves mods. The plan is to split the buy between Picos and VTwo's and there's room for a couple more. I keep upping the percent of Picos and now discover, if I had it to do over I would get all black Picos for the sake of stealth out and about. I might go over budget a couple of mods to have several more all black.

But now things are finally starting to move politically as far as the FDA because a new boss has been proposed and he's a guy who could bend things our way and I might want to wait and see how that goes. If there are confirmation hearings we might want to watch those on cspan. I'm in Michigan where, so far, the legislature is showing no interest in messing with vapers. People in other states like New York, New Jersey, California, etc. probably need to be more urgent about supplies. Flavor ban? Why don't they just wait for the FDA to shut everything down? Oops, may be that won't happen after all.

I hope the landscape changes. I don't want to be a hoarder, I have enough of those tendencies as it is, vaping has made it a million times worse. I have a couple liters of nic, planning on more as soon as I can but the two in the freezer make me feel a little better. Where there's a will there's a way. Just think of all the stores that cater to people using banned substances that manage to squeeze by the laws, I worked in one for years. We were always very careful to never speak about what people really intended to use the items for. Nicotine is what I really worry about the most. I don't want to have to resort to back alley deals for chemicals, breaking bad style.

Got my second shiny all silver Pico today! So purdy and safely stashed away. I'm content with my hardware stash so will just be getting premade juices, DIY flavorings, stock coils and wire.
I'm waiting on mine! How shiny is it?

I have a bookmark for My Dashboard right up on my bookmarks bar to check even faster.:D

My AL85 did get delivered today so yay for vape mail!:w00t:

So far it's a nice little mod that compares well to my Picos, but can accept a 25 mm tank, which makes it a bit more versatile for me.

Mine finally shipped out today. Might be another month before I get it but at least it's actually coming this time.

What would be a good number of mods to have?
My approach was first to decide on a time frame. I want a high likelihood of making it 10 years. Then I decided 2 years of continuous use is reasonable for a mod. So 10 years / 2 = 5 mods. But what if I'm wrong about durability or what if the mod I picked has a flaw I didn't anticipate. So I have a redundant supply, 5 more mods of a different make. My preferred mod is the pico and second favorite is vtwo mini so 6 picos, 4 vtwo's. I did the same redundant supply approach to nic and atomizers. The total cost for 10 mods, 10 atomizers and 5 liters of nic is $650, less than what it cost me to smoke for 3 months. I'm good for 10 years. If things hold up better than planned may be 20. I should add that the stockpile is in addition to what ever I'm using day to day and may be that stuff will carry me for some years before I'm dipping into the stockpile. That way, once the stockpile is complete anything else i buy is just because I want it, no lame stockpile excuses.

One more than you will use up before you die or quit vaping.

Since I don't know when that will be I have 30 years of nic and can scrap a mod every six month then use the stockpile of mechs after that.

I have to use up the mods in use before I get to the stockpile. If everything disappeared today I would be good for a long while.

There are a few reasons why I'm counting on 10 years and only hoping for more. There is some evidence that the OLED screens these mods use could die in 10 years even sitting on the shelf. I suspect replacement screens will still be available but there's no way to be certain. A few more vulnerable areas would be the 510 threading and the fire button. I believe a competent electronics repair person could replace the buttion and in a worst case scenario I could pay a machine shop to make me a batch of replacement 510 connectors. Those repairs would not be cheap but we're assuming there's no alternative. Then I have this hunch about nic. Keeping it frozen in sealed amber glass bottles will probably avoid oxidation for decades which is important for taste, but i suspect the nic will also lose potency very slowly, perhaps 1% a year. That's not as bad as it sounds. After 10 years you might have to raise a 10 mg mix to 11 mg to compensate. Bottom line, nothing lasts forever, including us.
