Are you done stocking up?

They are mainly used in mech mods to keep the battery from venting due to a short. If there is a short, the fuse blows to prevent damage to the battery.

So they're not necessary in a regulated mod with replaceable batteries?

Still working on DIY juice and coil supplies. I also realized recently if the vapeocalypse does happen, my regulated mods aren't going to last forever, so I really need to get on the ball about learning how to make my own mechs/unregulated mods. And I need to stock up on coils for my K1 tank. Do those take the non-Nautilus Aspire BVC coils?

I'm questioning whether that's really a mechanical mod, or just a "mech styled" mod. Purists will tell you that a mechanical mod can't have any wires in it, much less any electronics. I'd let a bit of wiring slide, but to be a "mechanical mod" the firing switch has to be a mechanical switch, and the button on that doesn't look stout enough. The fact that it has USB charging also makes me skeptical. I'm guessing it's actually an unregulated mod based around a MOSFET switch, much like the original Kanger Dripbox was.
I dont think it is what you would call a full mech tube ,

More a long a mech styled
Giving adjustable voltage , rather than adjustable wattage like a regulated its more of a cross between
Regulated voltage

Do you mean these? If so then yes, the K1 uses them.
EDIT: Linking to show a picture, tried uploading one, but didn't show in post.
Aspire BVC Replacement Coils 5 Pack Non Nautilus

Yeah, those look like the right ones. I know that there's a difference between the Nautilus BVC coils, and the non Nautilus BVC coils, and that they're not interchangeable, so I'm wanting to make sure I get the right ones.

I use a K1 tank also and those are the coils I use.

UPDATE: I sent this picture to the company and was told they would be sending a replacement. Hopefully they will. I like the product, just don't like dealing with that company.

UPDATE: They sent me 5 replacement drip tips though only one was damaged and that's all I was expecting. They get an A for effort and making things right.

At least they made it right for one of us!

That finish is so beautiful.

I do like how they save length. I too tend to stay away from 18650's , kinda "wand" like. But there are a few that are comfortable.

My 18650 Gus is about 20mm shorter than my 18500 Provari. I like that. :) Of course, I guess that's an advantage of a bottom button.

I dont know if I posted this on this thread before, but Delaware has a lot of good "historic" mechs on their clearance page. I got a Nanos there for 50. THey are sold out now , but I think I saw another online store that has them for 79? A must have I think, for mech lovers. Its the shortest tube mech and hits really nice. Very unusual top cap/ 510 but I think its why it has very little voltage drops even though its a modular tube mech.

Also Local Vape has a great little 18350 side by side? for 19.99 , the Phantus mini in brass or SS and with their coupon for 25% off, its a great buy. A great performing tiny little stealth, best 18350 device Ive ever had. Again it has a bit of a tricky battery cap, reverse threaded, but once you get used to that its great, it is a heavy chunk of a mod, though but for the price....

The Phantus still sells for almost 200 on their site, but Local Vape assured me they are genuine.

Now you tell me about the 25% off code. I always wanted a Phantus, stumbled across it last Friday and ordered it from Local Vape. It shipped today. No worries, still a great deal.

Bought an opus bt-c3100 so I could refresh my battery hoard as they are getting upwards of a year of use on some of them now... I think it is going to take me 2+ weeks to refresh all 40+ batteries I have in rotation since the refresh cycle is apparently 3 full dis and re charges. The lipro guard bag is going to be getting some use as the first set of 4 is still on the first dis/re charge cycle still.
