Damn... Whole Lotta Mix'n can be done with That.
True, but at least I know I *shouldn't* run out of nic.

I kind of look at it this way, the 5 gallons of nic cost me $750 which yes, seems like a lot of money upfront and it is however I'm turning 42 next month and if I can live to at least 85 then in the long run it will only cost me $17.50/yr in nic which I prepaid now. So I think of it as an investment to do DIY :)

Another way to look it from my point of view is, I spend at least $45/mo on house juice from my local B&M or from what I buy online and if I switch to pure DIY, I'll pay myself back in less than 18 months just for the nic alone and still have a lifetime worth of nic left. So all in all, it will probably cost me less than $5/mo to vape outside of my initial nic investment if I can stomach whatever juice I concoct, LOL.

Trust Me. I'm not Knocking anyone who has decided to be Self-Sufficient when it comes to Nicotine or Vape Gear.

I just foresee More and More State/Local and Federal Regulations.

I didn't take it that you were :)

I couldn't agree more, I think Federal/State/Local regs are going to make this a nightmare just so the can get their greedy hands on more tax revenue, especially where I live in IL.

We haven't had a state budget approved in forever, already have among the highest if not the highest taxes in the country and our state is bleeding money. Now that e-cigs WILL be a tobacco product, the governor will have a field day taxing the crap out of this at the highest rate he fathom. Then tack on whatever garbage the Feds and Locals do, a 30ML bottle of juice could end up being something stupid like $75+

Vaper's are going to be the ones financing the country, at least the ones that didn't mentally commit to try DIY juice and DIY builds. Sad time for us.

@johnny hotsauce - Don't worry about being able to make great juices you can vape! It's not as hard as many think it is.
I just started DIY in January, and haven't made anything yet that's been "flush" worthy, and I've saved a bunch of $$! Even my neighbor down the road, who works at a vape shop...says my juices beat the heck out of any he gets at the shop! He has me regularly make 4 of my recipes for him. I make his juice...he sharpens my Kubota blades for me on my 18hp. rider and 24hp. tractor!

There are lots of good, tried-and-true, easy recipes (2-3 flavorings) to make to start with. There are many others that take a few more flavorings, but are also easy, once you get the hang of DIY!

Looks like you're set with Nic for life! :D

There are quite a few more things that "maybe" I would like to have, but I have come to the conclusion that I have enough unless the deal is just to good to pass up and if by chance that I do run out or something goes wrong down the road and I miscalculated - then so be it - I will either quit vaping or use what is available on the market (or figure out an alternative)... Ain't and I mean Ain't going to lose sleep over it...

Since I finished what I considered my "need" list I've looked at a bunch of other stuff. Hard not to look when you guys are still buying;):lol: Probably a good thing I was away from home over the 4th and didn't have easy access to a computer. BUT, I also came to the conclusion that I'm not adding stuff that I'm really not likely to need or use over the long haul just to have it in my stash and trust me, there's not much I'm likely to need beyond what I have. ;) On the other hand, I am still open to seeing something I REALLY REALLY like and gifting it to myself just because I easily still can ! :)

Somewhere out there
I hadn't DIYed since 2012 but I love my DIY now :) I bought some blended flavors and am hooked on Arnold Palmer and Southern Sweet Tea, my two fav summer flavors. I made some good Peach tea too :) I love being independant and I was spending about $50- $6o a month on juice, so that is a big savings :)

I hear that. Was able to follow a couple clone recipes of two of my favorite premium juices. Hated spending 40-80 a month on juice.

I felt the need to say this:

I don't care how anyone else "preps" for this. In comparison to me, some go overboard and some don't have enough. It does NOT matter. Let me repeat that- It does NOT matter!! We each need to do whatever we as Individuals feel we should do to feel prepared and happy. Some feel the need to have enough to open a vape store. Some just grab a few things. Some are in the middle. It does NOT matter! The only people I don't agree with are the ones that come in and try to make others feel dumb for what THEY have decided is best for themselves.

I have NEVER broken a glass on a tank. (Yes, I have extra glass for my tanks) Someone might come in and say they bought 100 extra glasses. I don't know them. They may break a glass every two weeks. It is not for me to say that's too many. (But for Heaven's sake- buy some vape bands or bubble wrap!)

Now, back to your regularly scheduled chatting

Yeah, I haven't made any in about 4 years but going full swing now. Plus I have a lifetime supply of ones I bought and didn't really like but hey, if I ever run out....I can always use those. I am so picky about liquids/flavors. Going to try a bunch from the clone recipe site, they sound doable and tasty.

That reminds me, I need some vape bands. Where do I get those again? I can't remember in my old age.
