It's an original pdib mod. He made about 100 of them in various woods before moving on to a newer, simpler, more svelte design. His current thread is here.

The new l'il pinch really is a better mod. I was skeptical about it at first, and it isn't quite as fancy looking without the contrasting metal plate, but it's probably the lowest-maintenance, hardest-hitting mechanical squonker made.

Here's a few that got together and had a party last winter:

Well I tried the pickle jar soak in baking soda and vinegar, it still smells like dill pickles So I will just use some canning jars I have with plastic wrap on top for storing my VG and PG in fridge for longer term storage.

Since you have already soaked it - now stick it outside in the sun for a day - maybe two - the pickle smell will go away from the jar, but the lid I am not sure...

Look at it this way: If you get your name on pdib's list and put $1.00 in a jar every day, you'll probably have enough money in the jar to pay for the mod by the time your turn comes up.

Yea, the pickle juice kind of permeates the seal and all - it will come out, but you may not have the years to wait for it - the hot sun is your only choice to try... It will work - I just don't know how long it would take...

lids can be bought by size,, somewhere on my computer is a link to lid sizes......i am quite nerdy that way....proof: i once had 999 'favorites' all formatted like a library,,,,, i then had to create a webpage to hold it all after i ran out of avail fav space. ---i dont even know where that webpage is lol......early days of the internet.
