Hearing so many different interpretations from one extreme to the other on the FDA deeming and FDCA and PACT.... it is hard to know what is really what anymore. I did what I could easily afford to and felt I needed to do to be comfortable and take the worry and speculation off the table for myself.
I admit I hate seeing the panic buying going on now, I just cringe every time I see someone saying they are not paying bills or rent or maxing out their credit cards so they can stock up more before 8/8/16. I don't believe 8/8/16 is the end all, I really don't and I will not encourage anyone to panic buy now and/or hurt themselves financially to beat that date.
Agree with you,, I personally dont believe in credit cards,, I couldn't imagine shopping for my vape supplies with a deeming lurking via credit card. that would be too much stress. i am debt free, own my cars and home. i am one of the 'lucky ones',, but that's what i worked for..... freedom from debt. not bashing or judging anyone,, and i hope all are able to quickly pay off their credit cards.

Yes I do. When you offered I said thank you.

I saw that you said thank you, but didn't know if it was just for making my offer...or you definitely wanted me to order 1 for you. Wanted to doublecheck with you...as I didn't really want to end up with a 3rd one by mistake!

No problem though. Got it ordered! Will let you know when it comes in.

I am with you kross8. I do use credit cards but only so I don't have to use my debit card. I have had my debit card number stolen and my bank told me it was better to put purchases on a cc and pay that off each month. CC offers more protection that a debit card apparently. So I just see the cc as basically free money until the end of the month. I don't ever recall paying interest fees because I pay them off monthly and never carry a balance.

i am a minimalist (past 8 years) and a life long 'tightwad',,,,,,,if I want something I will work it out somehow. back in the 90's i wanted an expensive loaded SUV,, sticker $33000,, (i got it for less haggling until they hated me and asked me to never come back--literally)... we bought it on credit,, my husband nearly had a heart attack at the idea of a high car payment. I worked overtime like a crazy person and that SUV was paid off in 15 months,, our first home paid off in 3 years. we like life with cash.
i understand the stolen debit card issue,, it has happened to me,, bank made it all good. i have had my id stolen a few times,, i told them to prove i took out the credit.. if they cant its their problem not mine since i am not/ever asking for 'credit'. went to court,, and the judge backed me.

dave ramsey is right,, the perfect credit score is 0 :)

You sound like me. I worked 2 jobs for many years so I could have what I do now. Not rich by anyones standards but debt free.
My bank made good on the stolen debit card also but I am the one who had to do most of the leg work for it. Notify them(bank), call the company who took the orders from the stolen debit card, etc.

my bank caught it for me,, based on zip code and purchase..........i never shop in that 'part of town' or shop at liquor stores. --they figure my card data was stolen at target,, cloned and used across town.

I understand what your saying, and all this could be nothing.. as for me, I didn't even hear about the new deeming regs until after I went on a shopping spree due to a sale at my vape shop on Friday.. this week was my normal get more stuff week, and where I shop had a bunch of juice and things on sale, so I went shopping with what I was planning on spending and stocked up as per my normal behavior getting about three months worth of coils and juice and such, and since the prices were good I got a couple tanks for my sister as well as some juice that she tried at my house last week and said she liked, because it's not her payday week so I hit the sale for her as well with what I knew she needed.

Then, when I got my shipment is in the mail email,I saw an older email from said vape shop, that talked about new rules going into effect.. I spoke with them, about what was going on, and came here to learn more as well.

That said, I had just spent the money I had unknowingly, and decided that while we didn't know what would happen after the 8th, there was a couple purchases I think we're necessary in case there are problems with shipping, or problems getting juice I can handle (I have a pg allergy) then I wanted to make a couple just in case buys..

For that, I asked the same sister I just bought juice and tanks for, if I could possibly be 50 bucks short on rent money (as we live in a house she owns, since it's close to work, unlike the land I own) until next payday if she could in fact afford it, to which she said no problem..

I raided hubbies extra cigarette money since he already has a carton of cigarettes and a bunch of pipe tobacco, and made a couple purchases.
If I would have known this prior to shopping on Friday then I would certainly have done Friday a bit different, but I didn't, and I'm not worried about what I did do..

I know others have been spending months stocking up, and others can possibly afford what they are doing.. but as with me, most just want to make sure they make a couple safe purchases, because like with myself, without vaping I couldn't stay off cigarettes.. I am around smokers and cigarettes every single day and I smoked for over 30 years.. staying off cigarettes is very important to me..

I would hope like you no one is doing what they are unable to do, but without knowing everyone's specific situation, we might not be able to judge correctly.

i think we are going to hear more stories like yours soon,, except those people will have not gone shopping until after 8/8,, and will discover 'sticker shock' for their budgets from shops staying open.

We're very fortunate, we only have a home mortgage, vehicles are paid for, etc.
We don't have children, so the money that would go for things kids need, go for things we need/want.
We use credit cards for security, we don't even have debit cards, but the credit cards get paid when they come.
I spend accordingly, knowing that I need to pay the bill when it arrives.
We all have different situations, budgets, and vape stock already on hand.
Because I've been such a frugal vaper, since the beginning  I kinda needed a few things.

I fear without vaping supplies, I'd more than likely go back to smoking too. (as much as it pains me to say that)
DH still smokes, and I'm also around a few people on a regular basis who smoke.
If I had to carry a cc balance to stock up, I prob would, without hesitation.
That said, I don't encourage over the top spending, it's just really not worth it.
For me, for the peace of mind to have what I needed on hand. I imagine I would carry a reasonable balance.
A few months of interest is still going to (most likely) be way less than what the possible taxes might end up being, or facing the possibility of nic being unavailable.:2c:

i think of 'now' as a market crash,, so many venders bailing on equipment all at once.....now we know china will 'just keep making mods/atty's' regardless if the Americans can/will buy them....... they know they will sell them. i think we will still be able to get them fairly priced from china,, in small batches. but the vendors here will have to nearly double the prices on the floor to pay their taxes.............unless china goes nuts and starts making a huge amount of the mods/atty's to the point they are willing to flood the markets/venders with deep price discounts. have to watch the wholesale sites a little closer.

Yeah, I have no idea how this will all play out...it's definitely a watch and see type deal.
And...like I said earlier, not sure I have the stomach to watch. :(

I am not judging anyone in this madness, we all gotta do what we gotta do. I think if someone knows they would go back to smoking, almost anything is better than that. I like to think I would not smoke again but can't say for sure, even after over 6 years smoke free. It would be hard because of the hand/mouth habit, not for the nic. I only use 3 mg or less and can do 0 nic, if needed. I am so stubborn that I will do my best to never give BT or the state a dime of money that I don't have to as related to vaping.

    Somewhere out there
I just had some orders from FastTech ship out to me.
I pulled the trigger on a Vamo v5, 2- 75w Picos and a waterproof Invader mod.

Those are mods i would have never bought, I'm a pretty frugal guy. I still have my SVD, VTR in my weekly rotation.
    I vape at 24mg 2.1 ohms -15watts.

    My stash-

    1 Itaste VTR
    1 Itaste SVD
2 Sigelei 100w box mods (One Black, One Silver)
    1 70w Kbox
    1 40w Kbox
    1 M22 pro mod
    1 Itaste MVP Pro 3.0
    1 Kayfun clone
    2 misc RDA stainless tanks
3 New iclear 30s tanks in boxes
3 used iclear 30s tanks in rotation
5 plastic tank replacements for iclear30s
    20 boxes of 5 each (100) iclear30s coils

    En Route from FastTech-

1 Waterproof Invader Mini (To vape by the pool)
    1 All Black 75w Pico
    1 Silver 75w Pico
    1 Gun Metal Vamo v5

    Juice/Nic -
5 236ml bottles of Menthol from MBV - all day vape in 80pg/20vg 24mg
5 236ml Bottles of Freckled Lemonade from MBV - all day vape #2 in 80pg/20vg 24mg
5 Misc 30ml 100%vg in assorted flavors (for big clouds) in 3mg
2 Liters of 100mg Nic Juice

By my calculations this much juice should last me and my brother about 7-8 years.
The MBV juice is just to help us ease into diy.
I hope I have enough iclear atomizers to last - 10 atomizers should last us a year, i change mine every 2 months and he uses like 3 in a year.

Do you think I prepped enough?
Also, what are the odds of the FastTech stuff not making it to Texas, I've never had issues before.
Thank you everyone for all the info and suggestions. Especially the 20% off coupon for the 100mg Nic.
Looking good maybe there is a way to rebuild the clearos?

Is this a requirement for vendors to have packages containing "tobacco products" to be approved? Oh, this is most heinous! I know there are very strict rules on shipping tobacco products. I just had never put together this ramification of the Deeming regs. So we are going to be restricted to buying from local and vendors within driving distance? This ramification deserves a whole lot of four letter words!
    We just don't know yet.

We've all got our ups and downs. I'm carrying a large credit card balance after 4 layoffs and unemployment stretches in 8 years since '08, then losing my dog and chucking vet bills at them, and owe on my car (0% loan, win)... but hey, I'm a good 0% interest hopper, I was renting when many others lost their homes, I'm still single and don't have much to pay for, and I'm about to take a siesta at Mom's after 12 years of living across the coast to get some specialized treatment for Lyme Disease and hopefully get that off my back so I can go back to working full time. Oh and I'm about to sell my car and have a yard sale before I leave and all that plus not having expenses puts me right back in paying off debt in rapid mode. None of these choices have anything to do with deeming, an extra $400 in the pile of debt I already had does but so what.

Point being... everyone stop worrying. No one's losing their house over this. Back to stocking, link me sales!

*edit* Did I mention my boss is letting me work part time from 3k miles away to do this? Yeah, he's rad.
