What did you get today?

2 x SMY SDNA75 mods, couple bottles of true private preserve for breaking down my nic liter, set of tiny torx drivers. Waiting on UPS with my cube of vg/pg. The only thing outstanding after that is my GBO order of more glass/plastic for DIY/drippers.

Vape Mail Call! I got my Coil Master Tab and Zephyrus that hubby ordered for me. From FT, I got some Unicorn kinda bottles, couple packs of screws, brush set (already have some- great for cleaning cool coils and washing tanks), 2- 50m spools of wire, Knight mech clone, magnets for my nemesis and mini screwdrivers. I really like them..they are easier to hold than the tiny blue ones. Good for on-the-go coiling kits.

What did you get today?

Ordered the red/brown Knight clone from FT as you can't go wrong for a $7 mech with all positive reviews. I also ordered a 10 pack of Nemesis magnets for my authentics and clones (sorry, not paying $15 for 2 authentic magnets!). Buth should be here next week along with tons of ther stuff (more clone mechs, glass, bases, battery sleeves, etc). Interested to hear how you like the Mae magnets, though...

I DID recieve 2 HoH authentic mechs today and an authentic Nemesis from the Classifieds should be here today.

They must be. My FT order shipped on the 27th, was in Chicago on the third, and my local bulk mail facility received it this morning. Should get it tomorrow. It was over $100 and I was afraid it would still be in Chicago on 8/8.

So if I was going to squeeze a couple cheap mech mods onto my card... what would you guys suggest? Saw what looked like a good one in here earlier but someone said the sites security was suspect.

I see these things going for $10-$15 all the time and the only reason I never pick one up is because I don't know what's good for that price and what is still trash.

I picked up a Hcigar brand Nemesis (magnet switch) not too long ago from an online shop in PA. Got a brass one and a clone Crown RDA, $25 shipped and it's a very nice, solid clone. I can go back and look for where I got it from if you want.

And here I am sitting here with a defective tank & was told via email from the company I got it from that due to high cost to ship from China, I need to just go ahead & purchase a new one TO SAVE THEM MONEY!

I don't know what facility Smoant uses out of China but the product I purchased was from a US vendor.

It was bought from a US site with a 90 warranty. I contacted them within the 90 days & they sent me to the manufacturer who did nothing but tell me to buy it again so they could save on shipping.

I do believe that warrants a trip to the Negative Review Forum.

IKR!!!! But I did shoot another email to vendor I purchased from; just waiting to hear back from them.
I am trying not to name names..........yet.



Ohhhhhh this just occurred to me- does a vendor have to be registered with ECF for us to post something in the negative reviews? I am *thinking* they may have to be or else how can they reply. Never posted in the negative section so your guidance is appreciated.

The Talos V1 tank that comes with the Smoant Knight kit had a defective base. I wasn't aware of it until I tried to use the RBA I purchased from 101Vape (neither the Smoant RBA or Kanger RBA's worked even though they should've).

I contacted 101 when I became aware of the problem (I was within my 90 days).
101 told me to contact Smoant.

I contacted Smoant.
Smoant told me (after providing them with all the pics they requested) that after consulting with their engineer (engineer must have been sitting beside the chick emailing me) the base is indeed defective & to buy another tank cause it would cost them too much to ship one from China (Ave40).

I contacted 101 again & told them what Smoant said to me.
101 apologized & shipped me another base which arrived yesterday.
I had to pay $2 shipping cause I was out of warranty but was in warranty when I initially contacted them.

I'm glad that issue is over with.


In other news- My freezer arrived today!!!!

I have one of these, and I have had it for a while. I do not recommend it, as it is very cheaply made. It preserves its bright copper color, until it wears down and scratches. Not just no-logo, but no-no.

Well, thanks for the heads up. I don't care if it oxidizes or whatever might happen to the exterior, as long as it works. Have you had any issues using it?

Just for grins, and to be a guinea pig, I ordered five of these from FasTech on Friday, August 5th. No way will they ship before the 8th. If Customs seizes them, I won't be out much.

I'll let this thread know what happens.

I have a glass and O-ring order that just shipped this morning, will keep everyone updated.

Dunno, I travel for business every few weeks and often visit vape shops in cities where I'm killing some time. So far 0, NOBODY at any B&M with the sole exception of NYC, seems to have any awareness whatsoever about the FDA regs.

I'm assuming that in many cases it's just the employees who genuinely don't know what's up, but I find it hard to believe that any small business owner who is about to get run over by the FDA and driven out of business, is unaware of what's coming.

Whatever the case, over the past 90 days or so that I've actually talked with people at B&Ms and asked, only Henley's in NYC has admitted to having any awareness of what's coming (and Peter Denholtz is pretty loud and outspoken in local media with regards to the regs; the last I talked with him he was planning to pivot and turn into a tobacco & vape shop).

I believe that in most cases all these shops know they are on borrowed time and just want to collect as much cash as possible before folding. I'm unclear why they all think it's in their best interest to just stay quiet and pretend like nothing is happening, I'd assume they would make 2-3x as much money from people stockpiling if their customers knew what was coming. <shrug>

I got the idea big time. I'm waiting for a pair of +4 specs ($2.19 fs)
so I can see my decks and the circuit board/screen on an IPOD my kid broke
so he gave it to me when I got him his new one...
