I purchased a box of the cellucotton rayon on eBay. The box was not sealed and the contents weren't sealed or covered. That doesn't seem sanitary to me, but then, considering its intended purpose, I guess it doesn't need to be. How can I make sure it's rayon and not cotton though? The box does say rayon, but I wouldn't know the difference.
I bought mine straight outta Sally's & I dont recall the box being sealed. It was just a closed box & the plastic bag inside was just wrapped around at the top.

Nope, they're asking for all of this to maintain in their database for age verification. If you think people are being overly concerned you haven't been paying attention to the compromised sites that they have released publicly. Trust me when I say there are many more that are not published that have been compromised.

Thing is the FDA only requires verification for those "under" 27, a lot of sites are just doing a CYA with requiring it from everyone. But this will bite them for people are paranoid (rightly so) in releasing so much personal information.

That's sort of why I only worry to a certain degree though. If all those big names sites got hacked, and of course there's more, then nothing is really safe. You've definitely corrected a few things I had incorrectly thought to be true though, and that adds a degree of caution back, so thanks. Will be keeping an eye as I go through checkout, especially if Paypal really makes things hard on us and I actually have to use my CC.

Just found out my juice vendor is going Veratad (sp?) or whatever and that's better right? I'm already verified at MFS however I did it and I'm safe so if I have those two I can continue to stockpiles things I was not able to before 8/8 in peace.

Pull a piece apart and do the same with a piece of cotton. You'll note the cotton is fuzzier
    and the rayon more fiberlike.
The reason the box was open as well as the bag is 'cause you probably didn't buy the BIG BOX,
so your vendor did buy the big box and broke it up into little parcels.

You can also take a lighter, torch, or match (FIRE) to the rayon.
If it burns and stinks it's cotton, if it doesn't it's rayon. :)

    What ^HazyShades^ said...

I bought the BIG BOX directly from Sally's. It was a 3 lb. box, about $17 or so.

If you've never tried rayon, you should try it at least once. I think cotton mutes flavors and seems to be, ummm, mooshy or soggy or whatever? And it burns easily. Have a go at rayon just a couple of times; you might like it better than cotton.

I keep hearing about Rayon in the forums. I come from a medical savvy family where my parents and Aunt is always giving her "medical" and "practical" opinions so I apologize in advance, I'm not bashing nor supporting Rayon. I've tried it, felt it, was amazed by wicking properties and I totally understand why people use it for wicking, I've tasted it and used it quite a few times. Ok, this is the practical part. Just as a fart "discharge gas" is natural, which is carbon dioxide, it's still a lethal and deadly gas nonetheless, just because something is natural doesn't mean it's perfectly safe, like our own bodies, people automatically think Rayon is safe because they associate it with plants, which plants do contain it. When I used Rayon a few times, it's was amazing for wicking, but after a few times, compared to cotton, the color and feel felt very synthetic if you know what I mean, Rayon users would know, almost plasticky. Small point, in a positive manner, not argumentative; If Rayon is the best, cleanest, non toxic way of soaking juice, or even blood to a patient in a hospital, hospitals and clinics would use it over organic cotton, across America in all of our hospitals, but instead we use sterile organic or regular cotton because we know (and tested to the limits that testing can test) that sterile cotton is the safest materiel for different application. I'm no scientist by any means or trying to scare people from using it. I love America. I love choice and democracy. Anyone can do as they please. I don't know. I'm sure it's totally safe in small doses or regularly, who knows. My mother's had cancer in the past. I try and not to follow that road she has. I try not to eat/drink out of BPA plastics, keep away from toxins as best as I can, etc. Point I'm trying to make is, it's hard to tell what's good for our bodies and what's bad. People should still be aware that even natural things, as man made purified cellulose fiber AKA Rayon is, usually when man get's involved, it's not a good thing. The best things I think come from nature, naturally, without having to modify a materiel. Hell, even cotton is bad if you think about it. All of this isn't to scare or persuade, just give it a thought. That flavor though, from using Rayon in my Tugboat RDA..

.. not gonna' lie. Delicious. I'd rather use Rayon over Silica or Ekowool. That's another fun thing about vaping also, you get to try different things and do what you like. I love vaping.

    First: "Well, I don't smoke." (So I don't care.)
Second: "I quit smoking long ago." (I did it the hard way; so you can do that, too.)
Third: "It looks like smoking." (Duh, it's not smoke, but I can't seem to prove that to you.)
Fourth: "You don't know what's in those things." Yes, I do; I make my own eliquid.
Fifth: "You know those things blow up, don't you?" Yes, on a rare occasion. And so do other battery-related devices.

    Ugh...

3,4 and 5 are a lost cause. 2 could go either way. The surprising thing to me is how much luck I've had turning #1 around on vaping. We already know #1 is deathly afraid of anything that even looks like real smoke, but threaten THEM with the choice between inhaling vape or cigarette smoke and they choose vape every time, then look at you all deer in headlights as they put it together. Make it about second hand smoke vs vaping, tell them if vaping was left untouched eventually there would be very very little second hand smoke to worry about. That 95% safer to us fact? That's nice and all, but there's something bigger in that report. No known risk to bystanders. Start touting that fact around, we can turn SOME of these people around just yet.

Are you talking about big name vape sites that got hacked or something else?

    ....or @daleron 's :lol::lol::lol: over 280k likes.
    Course, she is rather likable.

I also wanted to mention that I'm glad to hear the updates from everyone that their overseas vapemail is progressing without any glitches. :)
Yep indeed; not too surprised with Dale having that many 'likes' cause she is a sweetie and very likable!

That overseas shipment I received came in at about the same time it usually does; from date of order to delivery (tomorrow hopefully) 16 days....
These dirty dog deemers have done a job on us!
