thinking about the nic stashed in my freezer for the Dark Ages. What would you do with yours if you are ever able to be nic free? Would you give it to someone else? I would keep mine. It would be like the bottle of booze so many recoved alcoholics keep.
I have found for myself that if I stop something having a bit around helps. I stopped drinking, but keep a bottle of wine around. I stopped smoking but keep a pack of cigarettes around. It just works for me. :)

Most of the population can pickup and a lot of companies don't have issues with personal delivery at work. This is a much better solution than what the online age verification.

So a company just targets a few vapers instead of trying to make it easy for as wide a range as possible.

Gotcha.

The company that does that won't be in business very long.

I'm 62, and have approx 20 years worth, stashed (at my present .4 mg level). Considering some of nicotine's beneficial qualities, helping focus, memory, Parkinson's etc. I may want to stay on nicotine, as an old fart's maintenance drug.

The fda is fast tracking the street drug special k ( ketamine) to get it on the market for depression. But they want to nicotine for vaping.

I'd PIF after a year or so, to someone who could use it. I'd simply hang onto it until I was positive there was going to be no more need, then give it to someone with a need for it.

But in a way, that's what I did with the pack of smokes I kept on the fridge. Hubby took a couple out of that pack whenever he was out until he could make it to the store for some smokes, and he told me last night there is only 1 cigarette left in that pack.. I'm fairly sure it's nasty at this point.. nastier than usual anyway.. lol..

So I'd just PIF when I was sure I was done.

I had a pack in my freezer for 3 yrs as a security blanket. When I moved I finally threw them out as the thought of having a cigarette almost made me barf! LOL

And if you had tried it you definitely would have. After about 2 years of vaping I just had to try one just to see what would happen - nope made me sicker than a dog - it makes it hard to believe I did that for so many years...

I am so glad I quit...:)

It is funny how different things work for us. I could never have had any in the house, I would have smoked again. I will never forget when I got the first mini ecig, I used it along with smoking until the pack was finished. I had super high anxiety about not buying more cigs, you know that never wanting to run out thing. I finally told myself that it would be ok and that if I ever got that desperate, I could go to the mini mart and buy them. That got me through and I never bought another pack.

It is interesting how each of us dealt with that last one :) I had the pack in the freezer so I didn't have that panic feeling of oh no I'm out, I need to run to store now feeling, like at midnight as I had done as a smoker. But whatever works :)

I'll keep the nic in stock no matter what. After 5+ years of vaping, my wife still talks wistfully about buying a pack of smokes every few weekends, and still does once in a while. They still taste OK to both of us, so absolutely no pack in the house - just nic!

That Discover article needs to go to FDA on Nicotine the Wonder Drug. I also was surprised to learn in Anatomy and Physiology class that we humans have nictotine receptors in our brain. I thought what? All these years we have been sold a bill of goods that nicotine is bad but our brain actually needs nicotine! I was stunned.

I am around smokers, so I had no choice but to quit not only in the presence of a pack of cigarettes, but with everyone smoking around me. My husband smokes in the house, everyone who comes over does also.

You should have been me, going through those initial withdrawals, with smoke in your face, sometimes literally. There were times I wanted a cigarette so bad I would be shaking, a couple times I cried.. but I knew if I got through it with all that around me, I would always be able to stay quit.

So, I am quit.. :) but not everyone is the same, and not everyone can do that. Vaping is literally the only reason and the only way I was ever able to quit. Without it I would still be smoking cigarettes, but it took all the willpower I had.

You & I are worth more dead to the govt as we approach 62-70. 'we cost money' at that point,,, before you turn 62 you are a viable tax payer.

my husband still smokes,,,,,,,,,,it did get on my nerves on our recent road trip,,,,,after all my car likes smelling like lemon sugar cookies,,,,,,,not some wasteland of chemicals.-- he will 'vape' to make me happy for about 2 minutes........then its back to the cigs. the cigs are starting to really take their toll on his breathing........and still he wont try to stop/switch to vaping. for years I have made plans for our retirement years together,,i handle the money and spend it wisely etc........but I am having to accept that those years will likely be alone because he will have passed on.

That had to be tough! Early on in my quiting time tho I was like a bloodhound on a scent, if I smelled smoke I would hang around it for awhile just to enjoy the smell LOL Now I can't stand it, but early on loved it :)
