Anyway, i was thinking of getting a pico or two because the isticks are kind of old & probably wont last long & i dont want to buy anything with built-in batteries for the stash. What do you all think?
Gearbest has the brushed stainless 75w Pico on sale for....22.60, ships on 8/27

Hmmm. I'm tempted. But here is the deal. I have four P minis plus two istick minis. I figured on one P mini for 5 years each (15 years) plus the fourth for a back up in case one of the others died sooner. The two isticks are for emergencies, when I'm doing yard work etc.

I keep thinking I've put all my eggs in one basket. I've been thinking I should buy something different. What if I got tired of the Ps? What if they died even sooner? Arghhh! I hate the FDA for putting me in the position of having to predict what I will want ir like in 10-15 years from now.

The isticks will die a painful death at some point. I hope your math is right and you don't have an oops with a provari.

Well, you and I will have our eggs in the same basket. :) I've gone with ProVari's, but I found (bought) them in the first 6 months of starting to vape, and I don't have a single qualm going forward.
ProVari is a safe basket to place your eggs.:2c:
When I say that, I'm speaking of their tube mods. I don't know anything about their other styles...I'm sure they're fine too, I just don't personally have any.
I also have 2 Reos. Not everyone wants to spend that on a mech, and I completely understand...just listing my basket.
I also have a few ego vv/twist types, but those I don't count on for long term anything.
And one other mech, a KTS that a friend sent me. :)

    Agree.

I have two iSticks and they have performed flawlessly for almost a year. Only a matter of time until the battery craps out and they are garbage though. Might be tomorrow, might be a year, but I think it is unreasonable that Many iSticks will have a 5 or 10 year shelf life.

I have a bunch of Provaris and they really are solid. I would expect somebody with 4-5 of them would be set for potentially decades but who knows. That's why I have tons of mechs too. :thumb:

Personally, I'd get 1 of each! You already know the P's are great & super reliable. The Pico is an Eleaf (company who's products you like using) and has the replaceable battery, that you want, too.
Lol we were typing at the same time. thanks for your advice.

Yeah, get one of each while the prices are good. Better hurry on the vari sale, ends in 4.5 hours.

btw, I got another Dragon, I want to have a snogard too. Had to have a green LED to go with the Blue LED, ya know? I have wanted a brushed stainless Pico forever but since I cover them with sleeves, I thought what is the point. Who knows, might change my mind tomorrow.

Exactly. Who knows. And what if Provape was to go out of business? No way to get them fixed. The problem with all our stocking up is we have to try and guess at how long things will work, what we will still like years from now and what to do if things die. And of course finances are finite. I mean yes, we're spending it all now in a big lump sum and probably next to nothing for a long time afterwards but still my CC is groaning and I refuse to pay APRs. I never have and dont plan to do so now.

when i looked at the dragons i noticed they are not minis and that 1/2" diff is a lot for me weight-wise - weak wrists.

Nope, they're not the minis. But, you may want someone to weigh their Pico 75W with a battery in it & a tank on it, and let you know about what it weighs. I'm thinking it might be about the same as the P. I can open 1 of mine and weigh it and let you know, but the only tanks I have out now and using, are smaller ones.

I think it will be ok. At the B&M shop today someone let me hold hers and she had a 4ml tank on it that was full and it wasnt bad. Lighter than my mini with the GSAir MS that i typically use.

    True.

I have a bunch of mechs and almost 20 of them are $5-15 FT clones. I don't think those would be too hard to get my money out of on CL if I ever decide to go a different direction or on the slim chance that vaping technology continues advancing.

I love my mechs as they will last almost forever, but I do think my Provaris will last as long as anything else out there with a chip.

    We shall see.:)

That is the $64000 +HST question.

I have planned to scrap a regulated device every three months for the next ten years. Then a mech scrapped every year after that.

It is much better to underestimate durability than overestimate it.

As for the cost. I am still vaping on my smoking budget for a few more months so there hasn't been any hit of saving so far. At least my stockpiling began last November.

@Bea-FL - PT2 Mini, PT3 Mini, Aerotank Mini, new little TopTank Evod that came with a little starter kit, and several Innokin 16D clearos. Have multiples of the reg. PT2 & PT3, as well as the reg. Aero, STMs, Kayfuns clones, etc. but haven't used any of them yet. I really like little tanks better. :D

Hubby has been totally supportive of my vaping and all the money I'm spending but he really wants me to stay away from mechs. He used to be a firefighter and unregulated devices make him nervous. So, because he's such a nice guy I'm staying away from mechs.
