It may not even be vape related, but maybe just maybe if we are lucky and they are still in business they will continue to service what they have sold to us... We can hope...
    Wouldn't that require a PMTA?

This is interesting. How will they be able to provide a new product that wasn't on the market prior to 8/8 without a pmta?

eta: wonder if it is that atty that is like dual sided? I have seen pics of those on the Radius.
Well, maybe their thinking might be why spend a million dollars without assurance that it will be approved when they can spend the same amount following the new regs that give them a better chance of approval.

So, if I understand correctly, you are thinking it will be a closed system of some sort? For the Radius?

I am too lazy to search back through this thread so can any of you tell me if a recharging thing like was discussed earlier would be good with these specs?

I dont know. Just speculating. I didnt mean for any existing devices. I was just wondering if they might be working on something totally new that they feel would have a better chance of passing.

It's called a ZNA Pro and is using the 60 watt Radius board from what I read, there was a prototype released so was already out there. I don't know anything about it just what I read on ecf :)

I have no idea if it includes a tank or not or just the mod so little info available but there is a thread speculating about it :)

Honestly I do not know. If it did then that would mean that the FDA is ready to take reasonable or what they call reasonable human injury by not allowing products to be serviced that they allowed to be sold...

The Provape repair ratio is so low I doubt they could make living doing repairs, but how does the pipe tobacco repair biz work ? Is there anyone repairing pipes? Do they need PMTA to do that?
I believe pipes and vaporizers would be treated the same way. Repairs would be 'modifications' and we know they don't want that, hence closed systems. The FDA certainly managed to cover everything, didn't they?

It will be interesting to see what happens after December. Sad times, I fear.

Pipes are open systems tho, you have to add the tobacco to smoke them. I think the same should apply to vape gear unless they plan on making disposable one use pipes :)

Hmmm. Good question. I asked hubby because he smoked a pipe for many years. He said at that time none of the shops he frequented did that. You just bought a new one.

It is my understanding that pipes are being treated the same as vape gear. Got them all fired up because it effectively puts them out of biz, also since each pipe is basically different.

How could they call it a modification if it's being repaired to its original state?

Because it is changing what doesn't work to a working one which is a modification, I guess. I remember much discussion about repairs early on in the deeming thread. I would have to go wade through that 499 page deem/doom regulations to check and I am not up to that. Too depressing.
