Had to break into my cube for some glycerin today. I found using the sink handy to pour into a funnel into a smaller bottle and resting the gal jug on the counter worked great. So now I have a bunch of 6 & 3 Nic mixed up and ready to add flavors. This was the last of my 3 yr old Nic from the freezer.

So I saved about $40 today mixing my own juice I have to remind myself that I really am saving money long term I spent around $60 a month on ejuice so right there the savings adds up!

I got my juice order placed and that is all I am planning (key word here) on buying during the LD sales.

Since most of you own Provaris, what is the best coil build for the mini and the 2.5? Also, best build for Reo Mini and Grand? Sorry so many questions, but this is the first time in over 7 years I have owned either brand mod and the past month has been my first experience building my own coils. I know the Reo is unregulated so I want to be very careful building those. I was happy with my eGo battery and Kanger tank but the FDA made me rethink planning on using those items long term so.......on to learning and using new things because I don't plan to quit vaping.

For my 2.5 mini, my build is, 30g, 6wr, 2.5mm, = 2.0Ω.
Build for my Grand is 30g, 2.0mm, 7wr., = 1.32Ω.

For my Grand - I do 32 ga., 4 wraps, 18 ga. wire, = 1.5 - 1.8 ohm

I only have 26 & 28g Kanthal currently. What is the safest Ohm range so I don't stress the batteries?

EDIT: I forgot I received some samples of various gauges. I have 22, 24, and 30 in addition to the ones mentioned above.

Both of those recommendations are no problem. Anything over 1 ohm is safe for most, if not all the batteries we use. Have you learnt about battery limits yet though?

No, I have been reading Mooch's posts but honestly I am pretty clueless. I need someone to explain it to me like a first grader. I am using AW batteries that are appropriate for the mod but I need to understand the principle of ohm law as it relates to batteries.

Once a tax goes into effect Ir is almost never overturned.

I don't think he is worried about the tax - I think it was the limits on the shops - put a lot out of business.

It had more to do with the requirement for a security door and only one company qualified.

Right, well bare in mind that my explanations aren't great but...
When you look at recommended high drain batteries from recommended retailers, you need to look at the amp limit. For example. I use Samsung 25rs most of the time. They are 20 Amp (continuous discharge rate) batteries but based on what people on this forum have taught me is you are safe to run builds that will pull half of this at most. Edit: due to stress and time which will decrease the continuos discharge rate)

You should get to grips with using vape-calc.com. You input the resistance of your build and the voltage of your battery (4.2 off of a freshly charged). And it will tell you the current (amps) that that build is pulling.
I build at 1.3 and off of a fresh battery that is only 3.5 amps.
I would go as low as 0.4 ohm build to pull roughly half of the current that my battery can supply. I think a .4 @ 4.2 volts is 10.50 amps if I remember properly.

Watch this vid and just substitute the mech for your reo.
The vid is old and remember that you can sub-ohm provided you know what your batteries capabilities are and your safe.

Oh yeah. The kids these days love to work off the back of 'pulse rating'. This isn't safe as companies do not have a general timing for a pulse. One company may say 4 seconds to press the button, another company may say 2 seconds.

Always work off of the 'continuous discharge rate'. This is different on different batteries so make sure you check your batteries 'cdr' first.

Got my Provari Classic GM awhile ago. I needn't have ordered an 18650 end cap, it came with an extension for 18650. So on my next one I won't bother with it.
