Perfect timing. I just ordered 3 of the ego one megas about an hour ago. I'm a big fan of the Tron-S tanks, with the CLR coils, and wanted a few more. After 3 weeks waiting, fasttech couldn't get restocked on the Trons, so I exchanged them for Tube atties. Today I saw they had the ego one megas in stock, so I ordered 3 of them.

The CLRs have been working so good for me that I stocked up and ended up with 9 packs of CLRs. I've been rebuilding the same CLR coil for 7 months now, but only had 5 of the Tron-S tanks. I figured at this rate, the coils are going to outlast the tanks I can use them in, soooo hence the order for the ego one megas.

There's a twisted, purchase rationalization in there somewhere, but it works for me!

Wow that is great to know the coils last for rebuilding. Wish I knew about these earlier

ditto,, i did buy that same pack as you noted. 1 glass was shattered upon arrival. i dont care. i figure it traveled a long way in an envelope so that is to be expected.

If you still have the shattered one,take a picture of it,and open a ticket with them.I had a few spare glass a few years ago that were chipped on the edges,contacted them,sent a picture,and had a replacement on the way the next day.

I must of gotten lucky on this last one,i had 20 glass for the Griffin,5 glass for the Griffin 25,and 15 glass for my Silverplay nano's,and none of it was damaged at all.

I didn't expect one to last that long, so I slowly built up the stock to 9 packs. That's when I figured the coils were going to outlast the tanks. One tip, be gentle with the silicone insulator. That appears to be the weakest link in CLR longevity. Even though I don't use the Ti & Ni coils that come with the tanks, I keep them for the insulators, as spares.

@rosesense the CLR coil doesn't come with the tank. They are purchased separately in packs of 5. Fasttech has them for $8.42, I think it was. It's like getting 5 mini RBAs for under $10. They are available stateside as well. Good luck if you decide to try them!

I think I'm good, but still buy when I see good deals. Like right now there are some great labor day sales going on. My thing is batteries. Really can't stockpile them and they may not even be an issue as long as other things use them.

Yeah,they had offered me a gift card code for the difference,or the replacement glass.I opted for the replacements because on that order,it was 5 glass and 4 of them were chipped,i had ordered them to have spares,and if i took the credit,it would have been spent re buying that same glass anyway,so it was easier that way haha.I agree though,CS was excellent on the whole situation,i think it took them maybe 2 hours to respond to my ticket,and after sending a few pictures they asked for,everything was done within a few minutes,then like i mentioned,new glass was on the way the next day.

Haven't even opened it yet, maybe it has a broken one, maybe not, either way it was cheap. Gonna keep it wrapped because it is packaged better than I would put it back together and I'm shipping everything anyways.

I must admit, I'm not that keen on brass. Kinda annoys me that so many of their pins and some of the threading is brass.
