Do you not think that individuals such as ourselves our not the target here?
It is more likely the many who have never seen or used vaping devices.
Not necessarily people who are willing to make so many different purchases from diff companies and be willing to fit those together themselves.

It's easier to twist thinking this way.
I really cannot imagine that it is not any more than your average istick and kanger man who will be in trouble.

Bespoke pieces from several companies across Europe. I doubt it very much.
So, are you saying you don't think this will apply to anyone but bigger companies like Kanger?

    Somewhere out there
The FDA addressed that in the stupid 500 pages of regulations. I believe it went something like this: a drip tip or ______ or no nic liquid. COULD be used with nicotine so it is 'deemed' a tobacco product.

Of course it isn't logical, nothing they do ever is. I hate to give them any credit at all but someone was genius in how they worded this to basically include anything by that one word...deemed.
It's as bad requiring orange juice be only sold in liquor stores because some one could add vodka to it. It is crazy!

Oh no but My favourite pieces are Greek mechs.
What I'm saying is highly publicised vaping corps are in trouble
    Smok
    Vaporshark
    Istick
    Kanger
The list goes on and on.

I'm just saying that when GP Paps disbands and diffracts into three different companies which deal mostly in electrical engineering.
It will be very, very hard to for a foreign fda to "deem" the maker of a switch vaping related.

It will cost so much money I'd imagine the pursuit would cost more than the loss of one addict.

I hope many of you don't forget that we are a small band of individuals.

Again, as long as the general consensus for the majority is
    Vaping = :nah:

Job done for BT and FDA... Moving on.
Luring some new youngsters into it will make up for the loss and hammering they received from this minority.

getting closer $205K raised towards suing these clowns. another $45k to go.
    https://www.generosity.com/fundraising/right-to-vape-campaign-benefiting-ava-and-r2bsf

irony. they will taking our tax dollars to defend themselves against being sued for trying to protect us from ourselves..... what a mouthful

our only hope. cole/bishop amendment that forces the predicate date to be moved to 8/8/2106. as long as we can have the predicate date moved back on hardware we will be doing a little better.

lets just say the predicate date gets moved to 2016, and things that are already on the market can stay on the market does that mean that companies will stay in business. will things somewhat continue. will kanger stay in business for example if they are prohibited from doing R&D on new devices and can only sell designed 2016 and earlier. is that sustainable?

are companies continuing R&D right now, as we speak and just not releasing said products. have companies like kangertech already started to lay people off. i know they are in china, BUT regardless are they letting their R&D staff go?

companies like kangertech have to worth billions by now..... why are they not personally suing the FDA. they have allot to loose. a corrupt, foreign FDA is literally trying to put them right out business. i wish the chinese would place other trade sanctions on the USA. you are trying to ban this product without paying attention to good research...... no more i phone for you!!!

but as i said before they could try to make it so we can no longer obtain individual cells. wouldn't surprise me what this idiots would try to pull. then require you to get some stupid license to buy individual cells to enure your were manufacturing flashlights or laptops and not using the batteries for forbidden uses.

I can't see why it should hit the big companies or R&D.There is a great big world out there besides the USA and more people are switching to vaping all the time.It might get a little inconvenient to get it here but there are plenty of ways around that.Nicotine is the one thing that if they control we are doomed. That is my primary focus on stocking up.

    about batteries.
Flashlight companies will still go on obviously.
Laptop battery packs and tool power packs generally contain 18650s.
    Batteries unavailable!!!

    Never in this world.
I don't think we have to worry about batteries. The worry is what the heck will people put those batts in if everything goes away? Won't impact preppers but new would be vapers would have little chance/choice.

WHAT kind of cells are those? i know they are 18650 but so are the older IMR batteries but they are only 10AMP max discharge. just because its an 18650 doesnt mean its safe for vaping. now you will end up with people using batteries that are not designed for said use. lets say they can only handle 10 amps. someone puts them in their 200W device and said device blows up. i could see that happening if low current batts where the only ones you can get your hands on.

I just got that pic off of google.
This is a silly conversation anyway but...

If you are prepared to harvest 18650s from a laptop pack for vaping then you should have a very good understanding of imr batteries.

    I vape at 1.2 on a kayfun. @ 4.2 that's 3.5 amps.
You should know what you are doing if you want more than 10 anyway. More fool you if your prepared to do that for something you know nothing about.

    Pity yes. Understanding? None whatsoever

Edit:I just re read this. Sounds a bit hostile. I didn't mean you, I meant whoever is doing the battery harvesting :)

I have ordered 3 expensive mods from Greece and one from Bulgara in the last couple of months and paid no tax and no duty into Canada. Tons of wire, batteries and other parts from the U.S. and full mods and tons of other vaping related items from China.... no issues, no taxes and no duty.

If the government here ever cracks down, I would be suprised if I ordered a tube, firing button, atty base or other "parts" separately from anywhere in the world, these clowns would have a clue what it is. Lightning Vapes Vape wire, a HCigar E-Cigarette or ELiquid with nicotine or anything blatantly packaged for vaping use will be a completely different story.

I'm not worried about the ability to get anything I need moving forward, but it will just be parts to maintain what I have. I don't need to vape at 450w @ 0.0001ohms, so quad 26650 mods and the like don't interest me in the least.

I can read people are busy harking back to the good ole days but to the here and now ;)

    :offtopic: as always but...
In the future Cant a company just split into "unrelated" fractions which are responsible for different parts of the atty/mod which 'aren't supposed to be used together' and it be sold individually as a connector, switch, tube, glass tank or build deck which are just positive and negative connectors on a base of SS?

If you choose to put them together and vape. Tut, tut, tut

Nicotine is all we will need? Right?

We need to bring Radio Shack back... :D
