Somewhere out there
Got my X-tank 4 coils today from Vaporbeast :) Timing was perfect as I needed to change the coil in my Melo 3 mini. They work well in the Melo :) I liked them enough that for $.97 for a 5 pack (minus the 10% discount;)) I went back to Vaporbeast and they still had them on sale so I bought some more. :D I won't ever have to worry about not being able to build my own coils in my old age since I now have plenty of factory coils for my Melo AND they didn't cost a fortune. :D

Was stocking up on some more BF coils for my Cubis and Cubis Pro tanks from ecig (and a few more Cubis Pro tanks arriving tomorrow from MVS) and decided to throw this Uwell Rafale X RDA in the cart for $8 for testing recipes. The BF coils are the only thing I really need to stock up on going forward, everything besides that is just wants.

It has a neutral center post so that if you do dual coils it doesn't halve the resistance like normal but I decided to try it with the center post removed and a single 12 wrap of 22ga which clocked in at 0.9 ohms and vapes pretty nice so far.

Few more new flavors arrive on Friday.

From my experience .8-1 ohms serms to offer the best flavor. To me it seems that .6 and below burns the Juice

i have been making my own coils. little help understanding it. i have been using 28 ga and i think i did 6-7 wraps. getting .64 ohms not working too bad. i will admit i guessed about it.
so how does this work?
does more wraps=longer wire with more resistance?
wire gauge
heavier gauge wire, im guessing is more resistance per lenght?
so i could use less wraps of heavier gauge wire? would i get even better results. if you are making clouds, what is desirable. i replaced my cotton today. pulled the old cotton out, dry burned and installed new cotton. i ran the same cotton for 3 days. i am guessing coil lasts allot longer then the wire? im guessing most pre-made coils, the wire actually didnt go bad it was probably the cotton?
You picked out tge concept correctly.

Resistance is determined by the length of wire in the coil.

More wraps means a higher resistance.

You can also choose a thinner wire with fewer wraps to arrive at the same resistance.

Lets take three identical coils 6 wraps with 2 mm diameter.

25 gauge , 26 gauge, and 28 gauge

25 will have the lowest resistance, and 28 gauge will have the higgest resistance

I primarily use 26 or 28 gauge Kanthal.

The FDA addressed that in the stupid 500 pages of regulations. I believe it went something like this: a drip tip or ______ or no nic liquid. COULD be used with nicotine so it is 'deemed' a tobacco product.

Of course it isn't logical, nothing they do ever is. I hate to give them any credit at all but someone was genius in how they worded this to basically include anything by that one word...deemed.
That is why i rebuuld, DIY my Juice, and stockpiled what i need to make those Bureaucrats irrelevant

The benefit if they move the predicate date to 2016, is substantial equivalence route to market which is less cumbersome. Provided substantial equivalence would still be an option.

We here all the time about a big wide world of other countries who still Vape on unimpeded. Very cool. The US however is a disproportionately large number when it comes to global sales. Something would still surely be left but if you take profits from the US market off the table, I have to think it makes the going a bit more difficult for the Kangers, Sigelei, etc of the world. Smaller niche high end stuff would probably have an easier time.

Edit - I am encouraged/saddened by the campaign you link. Sort of sad that only 1100 vapers and 30 or 40 companies have joined in. Should be over a million$ DAGNABIT
You forgot something.

Obama care.

Companies are moving a LOT of employees from full time to part time employment to cut expenses.

The middle class is shrinking.

People on Retirement, Social Security have only received a cost of living increase once in the last four years.

Everything goes up in price abd they keep Falling further behind. A friend of mine gets $760 a month. After rent, and the cost of electricity Going through the roof , abd his phone bill $35 consumed almost 80% of his income.

People just don't have the money to donate to causes, abd leisure activies they used to enjoy.

Unless this economy is turned around and we get tge FDA, EPA, etc regulations lifted the super Rich will be in Monaco, and Americans will be in the poor house.

Last month my electric bill was $178. A year ago it was $120!

Why does the price always drop on the vari's after I buy them? The Blue Lagoon and red/black fade is on special, still with free extension cap.

Speculating why the stickers are reduced if they plan to stay in biz. I will be oh so sad if they close up shop and move on to other endeavors.
I think they are luquidating their supply and focusing on the Radius and other new products.

part of it is that the R&D on a provari 2.5 has long been since paid off. that's part of the reason why any product is expensive at first. plus the provari is made out of pretty finely machined materials. there is a tool and die cost there which is already likely already paid off. the profit margins might be a lower but all they likely have into them now is the material costs. also who is going to pay $200+ for a mod that has limitations. no sub-ohm, 1 battery, and maybe 15-20W max. i think R&D and tooling costs have allot to do with it.
Correct.

I know a machinist who gets $100 an hour.

Production Line Operator job - Remedy Intelligent Staffing - Batavia, NY

prime example of what the problem is. $9 to work in dairy, are the out of their minds. i worked in a dairy dairy for many years, almost a decade. i have a milk receiver license and have plenty of experience both receiving milk, hooking up CIP's, running down-line equipment, past forklift, hooking up silos to load and unload, product protection, GMP's, SQF, and SAP. $9 per hour to work in a dairy plant and be required to work any and all overtime at $13.50 per hour. NO WAY. i suspect i know who the company is that placed the "order" with remedy. i think im going to go there and ask them if they are hiring and if they would consider hiring me directly with my knowledge of dairy. i want minimum starting pay of $15. i was making $19, and someone with my level of experience $15 is a steal. at $9 per hour i hope they dont get a single applicant. that's way below the going rate for starting pay in a dairy manufacturing facility. if the answer is NO, i will tell them im going to drop off a resume and fill out an application. when you are prepared to meet my fair starting wage requirement we will talk. otherwise good luck to you finding anyone that knows anything about dairy at all.

this is what pisses me off, this is why the middle class is shrinking.

im looking for a job that pays a living wage, not get rich but stay off of welfare. i went for my UI meeting and the woman told me that i should not be concerned with pay when i apply for jobs. look pay is at the forefront of what i am looking at when i apply. its not the only consideration, but i wish to have a job that pays enough to support my family and stay off of welfare. if the job only pays $9 per hour, i do not wish to waste my time with it.

I ordered a 100ft roll of UD 22g kanthal from FT to try out along with my order for some Pokemon stuff for the kids. Just over five bucks for 100ft. Lightning Vapes is actually a few pennies cheaper.

I have been using 26, 28 and twisted 30 all year and thought I would try something bigger for a change in my rarely used drippers.

Bought some grub screws for my Subtank Minis too. Oh, and a 20 pack of the Iron Man 18650 battery sleeves. :D

I am trying to find base o-rings for Triton and Triton Mini tanks which is proving to be difficult.

I am now so stocked up that I could open a vape speakeasy in my garage if the [Moderated] hits the fan. :p

That sucks. I can see the take it or leave it attitude when hiring people for jobs like drive thrus or flipping burgers, but asking skilled people to work for minimum wage or near it is just unfair. If business is so tough they should just shut down or move to China (hard for dairy obviously).

obamacare is a train-wreck, a 747 fully loaded crash, or an atom bomb. either way its prime example of people laying down and playing sheep. what gives the government the right to tell US that we are required by law to purchase health insurance. not only required to purchase insurance, but very bad insurance with 5,6,7 thousand dollar deductibles that wont cover any expenses unless we get really, really sick. do you have to go the dr's? ok. you have insurance? ok. you are paying out of pocket the entire bill. what?

i used to complain about $40 deductibles. this obamacare insurance standards are absolute garbage and only designed to make the insurance companies very very rich. i think companies like blue cross and independent health had all of the influence to get that trash passed.

but if you dont work and dont want to work, they will pay for all of the medical expenses.

its gotten to a point where we have some medical bills we just dont pay or only pay $1 on. they cannot charge interest or penalty on it, its not a credit card. if we had insurance that worked we wouldnt have those bills.

and you have the issue of companies moving employees down to part time. whatever is left of the middle class, or at this point working slaves we need to band together and overthrow these clowns.... replace them with someone that has our interests in mind.

its like that wells fargo thing. $185 millon dollar fine for defrauding 1 million people. i thought that was allot of money until i read a german company got caught with 430,000 counts of fraud and got a $4 billion dollar fine. the government attacks us, our way of life, and petty things like our vaping. they are supposed to work for us

and the people working low end burger flipping jobs are demanding $15. give me a break. they dont deserve $15 nor are they worth $15. i would call dairy plants a semi-skilled job. i did not have to go to school. i went to the school of hard knocks. there are good milk receivers and their are bad receivers that dump thousands of pounds on the ground. if you put the wrong milk in the wrong silo you can cost the company allot of money. if you put one load of regular RBST free milk into an organic or kosher silo then you just made that entire silo regular and de-valued that product by almost 1/2. silos can hold up to 1/2 million pounds so you can see how much you can screw up so quickly. start dumping product because you didnt hook it up right and dont catch it, again you can dump allot of product in a short period of time. those pumps flow 2,000+ lbs per minute. i had to take a test to get the license.

i would consider the work to be semi skilled. you can screw up allot more then just a hamburger. you can cost the company allot more money then someone working at a fast food take or leave it job.
