Hey - I had a few days off work and started organizing my vape stuff. Been meaning to do that for a couple of years.

Realised I didn't have any spare o-rings for my collection of Pro tanks so I ordered some of them.

Then I found a couple of Nautilus tanks. My grandson broke his so I picked up a package of them used, split the package with him and kept a couple for myself. I've never even fired them up.

Now I figure I need spare parts for them. Already have several glass tank parts including the metal sheathed ones. But when I looked for spare o-rings and seals on the web I couldn't find any. Does anyone have any suggestions on what parts I should get and where to get them. Seems a shame to have the tanks and not have spare parts to keep them going.

I ordered mine straight from aspire - Aspire Nautilus accessories

Great, thanks. They are pretty cheap and mailing isn't bad either.

Which parts do you reckon are most likely to need replacing?
I never broke a part personally but my brother's girlfriend bent 2 or 3 of the bases (and at least 1 upper hardware assembly) from tipping/dropping the pico over when the glass tanks were on them. I don't think she ever bent a base after I started making her use the steel caged tanks. I got a bunch of the caged sleeves for like $2 a piece on sale and they eliminate the chance of bending the upper hardware (and reduce leak points).

The bases are the most expensive parts so I would grab at least a couple of those and more of the cheaper parts. Gaskets are the most likely to wear out from normal use, and the base/upper hardware (and glass obv) are the most likely to be damaged from abuse.

Thanks again Fozzy. One more question. (for now)

I just went through the box of bits to count up what I have and found an upper hardware piece that was shorter than the others. I'm guessing that's a mini. Didn't realise it was there. Am I right in thinking all I need to do is buy a short tank to be able to use it as a mini?

I've never used my own Nautis but I've tried out my grandson's and it was a nice vape. Definitely worth trying to future proof them. I've got 6 new heads, and around 20 used ones from the GS which I'll try rebuilding. He keeps all his old ones for me so my stock should keep growing.

cheers

You would need the glass and a mini base as it uses a different base than the full size nauti - Aspire Nautilus Mini accessories - $1.00 : Aspire online shopping

I had a look around and a base plus a tank section costs not far short of a complete mini. Think I'll forget about the mini.

Wish I had been around when they were selling those full size caged sleeves for $2. They are quite expensive now. I've got one in my box. Maybe when I get the Nauti running, if it's good I might get another.

When the cost of the spare parts adds up to more than the sale price of a complete item, I just wait patiently until that item becomes discounted as new shiny ones become more popular. I then buy a bunch of the complete units.

That often doesn't require much patience in the vaping industry!:D

One benefit is that in the future I'll continue to have the pleasure of cracking open a new vape toy!

I didn't buy the hollowed sleeves direct, I think I got them from rocky mountain when someone ITT posted a sale so I bought like 8 of them.

Decent price there.

I'm just beginning my stock pile. I have a large amount of DIY supplies being delivered today. Can't remember how much I bought of everything but it's a good bit.

Also started trucking our budget. Every couple weeks or so I am either gonna buy more nic base, buy a $40 or cheaper mod, buy a couple RTA's or put the money on the side to get a more expensive mod later. I've even created a spreadsheet that lists all the items I fancy so I can keep track of what I have and what I need. I will be prepared for a lifetime of vaping before 8/18.

I'm not understanding what is going on here. When viewing your post, my sign in info is displayed on the Google Drive, maybe it does the same for whoever clicks on your post. I really don't like seeing my info there if anyone else is seeing it. It shows "You are signed in as XXXXXXXXXXX" (Me)
