Hang on to them. If things get bad, someone will want them.On some of the previous mods that I owned, I bought a bunch of coils for them, and now that I've moved on, they're basically useless.
Stocking up is good I suppose, but it can also be a bad thing.

Yes, you are right.Stocking up is good I suppose, but it can also be a bad thing.

I've got some spool tamers that I bought for help with that, but haven't really tried to work with them yet.
Well if you ever have a friend that wants to start vaping, now you have something to sell (or give) to them to help them get started.Stocking up is good I suppose, but it can also be a bad thing.

If things become as hopeless as it sounds somebody may be willing to pay top dollar for them someday.Stocking up is good I suppose, but it can also be a bad thing.

I got all tin foil hat today with my husband and told him in no uncertain terms that now is the time for getting nicotine in the freezer. No more putting it off. No more hardware purchases for me until there are 3-4 liters of nic in my freezer. The main thing which will (at least I believe it will) disappear is nicotine.
Do you know where you are going to purchase from? Will this be your first purchase of nic?I got all tin foil hat today with my husband and told him in no uncertain terms that now is the time for getting nicotine in the freezer. No, I haven't made a decision where to pull the trigger yet. So far I've only used ecigexpress and Nude Nicotine. I'd love to stockpile Nude Nicotine but I don't think that's going to happen, at least not first with their prices. I just need to know I have something for the proverbial rainy day. I would love recommendations from anyone. I know there is a gigantic nicotine thread around here somewhere I just haven't had time to find it and read.Do you know where you are going to purchase from? Will this be your first purchase of nic?

I guess a stocking up strategy is dependent on whether one has found their sweet spot. I'm lucky to have found a few toppers, a type of device and flavors that have worked well for me for some time, allowing me to focus on stocking up a short list of stuff to be satisfied. If one is still trying out a variety of styles the hardware side of stocking up could be overwhelming.
If no particular hardware setup has been satisfying, I suppose nic should be the priority while the search goes on.
@IgnorantCig - If you'd like to get some cash for those "useless to you" coils, so you can stock up on things you need now...why not list them on the ECF Classifieds? People list mods, tanks, coils, eliquids, all kinds of vaping stuff. Figure out a fair price to list them at, take a pic or 2, and you'll probably sell them! Or, list them to trade for something else that you're maybe looking for. That's possible on the Classifieds, too!
There are many of us who may still use and like the tanks your coils work in. Only way to find out if there's any interest in them...is to try listing them.
What I was getting at was do you like a peppery taste to your eliquid or a no taste at all of anything other than your flavorings? No, I haven't made a decision where to pull the trigger yet. I prefer low or no taste, one reason I've liked Nude Nicotine thus far. Clear as a window pane at delivery and no taste. Sadly, my wallet is thin. What I was getting at was do you like a peppery taste to your eliquid or a no taste at all of anything other than your flavorings?
Some of the vendors are know for the peppery kind and many have both types. Just depends on your tastes and wallet....

Thank you, I'll check out your picks for 2 and 3. I know I like NN, but I am waaaaaay too poor to stockpile liters at $105 each. I've ordered other things through WL but their shipping always gets me.OK, here's my personal opinions and those of 4 other local vapers besides myself who DIY, too. I made identical eliquids in every way, except the nic in them was from 4 different vendors. Each person vaped some of each and let me know what they thought.
The rankings/opinions from all of us came out nearly the same:
1st - Nude Nicotine (their regular nic base) - Was the top choice as far as being the smoothest and totally tasteless (was really hard to tell it was even in the eliquid). Of course it's the most expensive, too. We all felt that the much higher cost for it, compared to how well we also liked the next 2...wasn't justified.
Tied for 2nd - Wizard Labs & RTS Vapes - Dead tie as far as smoothness (not harsh at all, but could tell very slightly that it was in there) and they had no flavor of their own. Wizard Labs' cost more than the RTS Vapes, so all said they'd just use the RTS Vapes.
Last place - MyFreedomSmokes - All of us thought it was the most obvious that nic was in the eliquid, because it was peppery. Four of us didn't care for it at all because of that. One person, who usually vapes mostly tobacco eliquids thought he might like it in his DIY tobaccos, because of that.
After talking about it, 1 person got 1L from NN, and the rest from RTS Vapes. 3 of us got 1L from Wizard and the rest from RTS Vapes. 1 got 1L from Wizard and 2L from MFS.
