Yes, you are right.
I am a cautious stockpiler. I do not believe hardware will completely disappear. I do believe it will be outrageously taxed. But I'd rather pay 2x price than have a bunch of outdated pieces on hand. The main thing which will (at least I believe it will) disappear is nicotine.
I guess a stocking up strategy is dependent on whether one has found their sweet spot. I'm lucky to have found a few toppers, a type of device and flavors that have worked well for me for some time, allowing me to focus on stocking up a short list of stuff to be satisfied. If one is still trying out a variety of styles the hardware side of stocking up could be overwhelming.

Well if you ever have a friend that wants to start vaping, now you have something to sell (or give) to them to help them get started.
If things become as hopeless as it sounds somebody may be willing to pay top dollar for them someday.
@IgnorantCig - If you'd like to get some cash for those "useless to you" coils, so you can stock up on things you need now...why not list them on the ECF Classifieds? People list mods, tanks, coils, eliquids, all kinds of vaping stuff. Figure out a fair price to list them at, take a pic or 2, and you'll probably sell them! Or, list them to trade for something else that you're maybe looking for. That's possible on the Classifieds, too!

I got all tin foil hat today with my husband and told him in no uncertain terms that now is the time for getting nicotine in the freezer. No more putting it off. No more hardware purchases for me until there are 3-4 liters of nic in my freezer.
No, I haven't made a decision where to pull the trigger yet. So far I've only used ecigexpress and Nude Nicotine. I'd love to stockpile Nude Nicotine but I don't think that's going to happen, at least not first with their prices. I just need to know I have something for the proverbial rainy day. I would love recommendations from anyone. I know there is a gigantic nicotine thread around here somewhere I just haven't had time to find it and read.
MthompLmt, everyone has their nic vendor preferences, so I'm sure there won't be a shortage of recommendations for you. We stocked from MFS, and it's always been great (for us).

MFS is on my radar too, I just haven't had a chance to try them yet.OK, here's my personal opinions and those of 4 other local vapers besides myself who DIY, too. I made identical eliquids in every way, except the nic in them was from 4 different vendors. Each person vaped some of each and let me know what they thought.
The rankings/opinions from all of us came out nearly the same:
1st - Nude Nicotine (their regular nic base) - Was the top choice as far as being the smoothest and totally tasteless (was really hard to tell it was even in the eliquid). Of course it's the most expensive, too. We all felt that the much higher cost for it, compared to how well we also liked the next 2...wasn't justified.
Tied for 2nd - Wizard Labs & RTS Vapes - Dead tie as far as smoothness (not harsh at all, but could tell very slightly that it was in there) and they had no flavor of their own. Wizard Labs' cost more than the RTS Vapes, so all said they'd just use the RTS Vapes if cost was a major factor.
Last place - MyFreedomSmokes - All of us thought it was the most obvious that nic was in the eliquid, because it was peppery. Four of us didn't care for it at all because of that. One person, who usually vapes mostly tobacco eliquids thought he might like it in his DIY tobaccos, because of that.
After talking about it, 1 person got 1L of NN, and the rest from RTS Vapes. 3 of us got 1L of Wizard and the rest from RTS Vapes. 1 got 1L of Wizard and 2L of MFS.
EDIT: Forgot to tell that I'd bought small sample sizes of each of the first 3 above for us to use/try. Unfortunately, I'd already bought 1L of MFS before we did this little test. So...the 1 person who would use it in tobacco eliquids took it off my hands.

Thank you, I'll check out your picks for 2 and 3. I know I like NN, but I am waaaaaay too poor to stockpile liters at $105 each. I've ordered other things through WL but their shipping always gets me.
That's what we all thought, too, about the price of NN, especially since WL and RTS nic was really hard to tell apart from the NN. I haven't checked the price of 100mg/mL from WL in the last month or so, but I know it was less expensive when we did our little test...than it has been the last 2-3 months. RTS Vapes runs sales every now and then, and most of us got ours for $40-$45/liter either with their price-matching deal or during a sale!
I can handle 50ish per liter. Once I get 3-4 liters in the freezer I won't feel so paranoid and can wait for sales or deals. I feel like Provape closing their doors made it all a little more real for me (I don't even own a provari, I just knew it was a relatively big name) and suddenly become very worried. Jumping on this thread has made me even more worried. All I know is I don't ever want to smoke tobacco again, so if this is what has to be done I'm doing it.
