I told myself that I was just going to vape the less complicated stuff to quit smoking and not make it a hobby. It's becoming a hobby. I'm telling myself that after my purchase tomorrow, I'll have the set up I want. I'm already planning my next purchase after that.

Does it ever end? Does the madness stop?
No, I don't think it does. Now that I've acquired some basic gear I'm spending less per week than I did while smoking. Also, a great positive, I can hold off on spending if I need too, that wasn't exactly an option when I was spending the money on cigarettes - those were going to be bought regardless of if I had to scrape the loose change to get them.

It ends when you want it to end. I have 3 different mods and 2 different toppers and some mechs to back everything up. That plus the nic in the freezer means I am good for the rest of my life.

Anything I have 1 of doesn't even count in the stockpile.

Between the announcement that the deeming regs had been released and 8/8/16 I spent way more money on stockpiling than I want to even be aware of... Between August and October or so, I had probably 25, "just this one last thing...!" orders. And now... I keep buying high-end RTA's I like, Rose V3s, Hussar, okay 17 extra pieces for the Hussar :), ESG Skyline, but... I'm spending nothing on juice/nic/vg/pg at this point. I feel comfortable with the mods I have stockpiled. Basically, when something cool and new enters the marketplace, I buy it to try it, and if I like it, I buy whatever spare parts are available, or occasionally a backup device.

The fear of WHAT IF THE WORLD ENDS AND THERE IS LITERALLY NO NEW VAPE GEAR THAT WILL EVER BE AVAILABLE TO ME!?!?!? WHAT THEN???? has gone away. I'm fine, for many decades.

I had about 7-8 months of very high spending on stockpiling, at this point I've self-regulated down to spending a lot less per month average than I was a year ago; because I don't really need anything anymore.

Except Kayfun 5 O rings... I'm thinking that 55 sets of spares may not be enough.

1 of 2 new G2's thanks to the vaporcube half price sale. Upgraded the firmware and running 0.08ohm 2x24/3x32ss staggered clapton coils in auto+tc maximum insanity mode @450F. Still breaking in the rayon wicks but loving it so far.

After a bit of vaping I decided to go to normal TC mode at 120w/420F. Upgraded the 2nd one and put a boreas with 0.18ohm build on it and the topper couldnt keep up the wicking for me so had to put it in normal tc mode and dial it down to 100w/430f.

I have to say I was temped. I had already gotten the slice from them about 2 months ago at half price. I really don't need any more mods.........ugh....

I haven't had these firing more than 5 or 6 hours and I am tempted to order a couple more for the stash.......

I cancelled a couple of regulated mod orders I had placed recently with FT due partially to leadtimes but really it was because I think there will be another 6-12 months of mod innovation. Nothing too crazy, but better touch screens, more accurate TC and better ergonomics are what I am hoping for.

The B&M near my office is blowing out their mechs, so I grabbed another authentic Nemesis for about $70-75 US and will very likely pick up another next week. They ship to the US so if anyone wants a crazy deal on authentic Nemmys, PM me and I will send you the retailer info. 100% authentic always and they also still have Kayfun lite Plus tanks for around $55USD as well.

Beyond that, I am so set for tanks, Provaris, squonkers, mechs and associated parts that it is almost getting out of hand.

I just hope that i feel like a bonehead in a couple of years when vaping is still thriving and I stockpiled old technology. ;)

I forgot to mention, in my earlier post about the things at vapehearts.com...that they have authentic Aspire Nautilus BVC Coils (1.6ohms and 1.8ohms) for just $6.92/box of 5. I know many people like/use the Nautilus or the Mini, so thought I'd go ahead and post about them, too.

You and me both. That's the downside risk. The upside for me is 4k per year until I die.

Did you mean you hope you don't feel like a bonehead???

It won't matter what happens, as far as for me personally. If I'm happy with the stuff I've bought, (which I am) and can use it all in the longrun (which I will) and/or share it with others (which I do and will in the future)...I'm fine with what I've stashed. If it'll accomplish my goal of still being able to vape, and help others do the same no matter what...I'm fine with it. :)

EDIT: If I've stockpiled even old school cartos & tanks and mega attys & their drip tips, (that I can always use/give to others, too)...I'm not worried about having new technology that may come out. If it can be used to get my nic fix....old school or not....

he meant what he said I believe, so that other's (and him/us) can keep buying new vaping tech if we want but have tons of old tech to vape on instead

Well, I always thought a "bonehead" meant the same thing as a D.A.! Evidently, @corn flakes must have thought the same, 'cause she said "you and me both". Then..."that's the downside risk."
Nah,,,,,no risk afaics....so what if there is new tech that may or may not come out? NO matter what we who have stocked up on vaping supplies can always vape. It may not be the latest greatest but that is not why we stocked up in the first place. We have ensured that no matter what we will 'nevah' go back to the stinkies.
