I do hope we can still buy coils for a while. I'm trying to do a slow stock up on the ones I like to still use.

Yeah.. so far the aspire coil packaging hasn't changed.. I don't even know if they are planning on making it compliant - as a result I'm wondering how long it will be available.

I would think they would comply with that.. but when it comes down to it, it may depend on a cost analysis and if it's worth it for them? Don't even know how much of the market we are for them..

just don't know..

Aha! So that's what people were talking about coming soon.. non compliant devices are no longer allowed to be sold or imported in June..

yeah, no wonder hoh said they are not ever writing on a piece of stainless steel "this product contains tobacco" and they will simply stop selling in the United States..

So that's in June.. and I guess that includes factory coils?

Dang...
It has to be on the packaging, not the product itself if I understand you correctly.
So, starting in June no devices or coils can be sold unless they lie on the packaging? Nonsensical, insane, . . . .

I personally have no idea. Everything to me now is just a blur. I'm going to keep buying what I can as long as I can.

According to @Fozzy71 's link it says atomizers that are sold without liquid nicotine are NOT considered a tobacco product.

Certain provisions of the deeming regulation only apply to “covered tobacco products.” A “covered tobacco product” is any tobacco product deemed to be subject to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act pursuant to §1100.2, but excludes any component or part that is not made or derived from tobacco. Examples include: e-cigarettes, e-liquid, cigars, hookah (waterpipe) tobacco, pipe tobacco, and dissolvables. Examples of components or parts that are not covered tobacco products include: a pipe or an ENDS atomizer sold without liquid nicotine.

So it sound like stock coils are safe for for the moment anyway.

:)

Me too. It's so nonsensical that it would be funny (hysterical) if it weren't so serious.

So far it seems like all they are doing is squeezing, pressuring, harassing the trade and avoiding riling up consumers. The fun starts when a few million vapers find out something they depend on is not available. That's when the phones should start ringing. They seem to be putting that off for as long as possible.

You just saved me from a panic spending spree. :)

got to remember to read the fine print....especially when it comes to gov documents. Of course, there is nothing in that document that says they can't just decide to change their minds, they seem to be able(for the moment anyway) to do pretty much what they want to.
We need a longer list of what the FDA deems as accessories to the ENDS products.

Actually, it the first for me also. The empty suits in Government like to sneak stuff in without announcing that they did. And then it just appears. I am wondering if they are starting to realize just what a monumental task it is going to be to accomplish what they have outlined.

Since they have named atomizers as non tobacco accessories, then logic should follow that tanks are also non tobacco product accessories. But who knows? Still here we are holding our breath until the next shoe drops.

Yeah I know.. can you imagine the future where kids grow up thinking the stainless steel work table is derived from tobacco? Haha.. it's crazy!

Well hoh is under the impression that the regulations applies to tanks (as tobacco accessories). so I'm going to say it actually does, since they have a financial stake in correctly interpreting the regulations...

I am not saying that it applies to anything other than what is posted on the FDA document. I am just saying that logically it should include tanks as non tobacco accessories. But there is little logic applied when it comes to the FDA.

I have decided to avoid the entire problem, I loaded up with stuff sufficient for my grandchildren (some deeply frozen, some vacuum wrapped) and if I can't make it or repair it then I don't have it.
My spouse and daughter think otherwise but when the time comes I will be benevolent and non-judgemental when doling out my stash.

I was just going to get a few more cartos and BVC coils to finish stocking up. Then, I got the wild idea to try the eGo Mega V2 whatever that everyone's been recommending. I kinda hope I don't like it. Don't need more coils to stock up on.

But, I'm also still looking for something my daughter and brother might like. So, I'll give it a try.

I really think you will like them. May I recommend the CLR coils instead of their reg CL coils. That way you may only need to buy but a few boxes maybe 3 or 4 since they are easily rebuildable and last a really long time.

Don't those use the CLR coils which are rebuildable.
