between here and there
I have two Beserker mini clones on the way from FT to try out. My everyday all the time vape is an SV rda clone which is intended for single coil MTL. I got my lifetime supply of them for about $7 each. I like them because the flavor is good and they are simple with few parts and no glass to break. With temp control I can vape the wick nearly dry if I choose. When I redrip it's usually 30 drops. This morning I counted out 30 drops of my DIY into my 5 ml graduated cylinder and find 30 drops equals 1 ml (photo below). So the Berserker is going to be 60 drops, only twice the capacity. With the SV if I need to redrip it's done in may be 15 seconds through the wide drip tip and I can do a quick squirt in the car at a stop light if necessary. One caveat is I have to be more careful about leakage with the SV but I've got that figured out. All things considered it remains to be seen if the Berserker will have any advantages over the SV for me.

I've been descretly vaping at work with no troubles until two days ago and so that ends for me--for now. The next morning I picked up some snus at a gas station on the way to work and tried it on the shop floor and, for me, it works nicely. Below is what I got because it's all the gas station had. Apparently it's not a big seller. I'm not sure why, it's a pleasant experience. It occurs to me snus might be a long run stratagy to extend my nic supply if necessary, by reducing how many puffs I take. I know nothing about snus or the smart way to buy it. Does anyone here know better than me how to learn about the choices and the smart way to buy?

I tried out one of my drop in coil T18 tanks and it is my fav lazy tank when I want to put a tank on without building. Glad I have a ton of coils for my older years :)
I have two shoeboxes of drop in coils and tanks to go with them for just that reason. I wonder if today’s “we have to stop by grandma’s on the way home to change the lightbulb in her overhead fixture” will turn into, “we need to go build grandma some coils and rewick”. Whole new skill set for home health care people to pick up ;)

I have a small stockpile of T18/T22 coils, 15 box's of 5, it was my favourite no fuss tank for a while so I stocked up. I realised last week that I have given all my t22 tanks away but I still have boxes of the coils.
I took one of the coils apart to see how they work and to see if they were easily rebuildable but decided it wouldnt be worth the bother to rebuild and I kinda messed up the casing.
Inside the coil casing are two coils prewicked. I stuck one in a Savour MTL RTA today. It came in at about 2.97ohms and Im vaping on it right now at 5w's. I am really enjoying it!!! Its a cooler vape and quite good tasting(Im vaping VG and DW, it has a taste, some coils/cotton/tanks dont give you the taste of it)
I was wondering whether to buy another T18 or T22 but Im enjoying this cooler low watt vape so much I think I might just cannibalize the t18/22 coils I have and keep a RTA or two set up just for high ohm, low watt, cooler vaping.
This is a pic of one of the two coils in the T18 coil casing.

For @$10, you can buy a tank. I keep them as backups, because sometimes building/cleaning/wicking just isn’t an option. I realize I probably “over-save” for the future, but I feel better knowing that option is there should I need it. If not, you’ll find me in my senior years over in the classies selling off melos and triton coils

I have dropped my nic to around 3-4 and it is working great! So my nic stash should last longer than I will LOL so no worries :)

I wish you more luck than I had when I foolishly decided to drop my nic.

I found I ended up using more juice when I dropped to 3 than I use at 6. It seems the break point for me is 4.5-5 before I start chain vaping. So, I could stretch my stash a bit. At 6, I figured I have about 17 years of nic. But, I think for the near future, worst case scenario we’ll have unflavored nic liquid available.

We’ve missed you in shiny land ;). Glad to see you lurking around!!! Btw, I still need to buy a squonk. Someday
That thread has moved too fast for me to pop in every few days and catch up.

I've been busy with some local civic/service work that's more time consuming than work was. I may have to come out of retirement to get more time on my hands...

And yes... you do need to get a squonker! Either of Pulses from Vandy are great but I like the 80W better than the X because (I think) the X is ugly. My Pulse 80W and my two Pico Squeeze originals are the only bottom feeders I use now. The Stentorian RAM is on the bench.

Ugly and boxy has turned me away from most of them. Boxy just doesn’t work with my hands or pockets. I haven’t bothered to really look recently , but I made it well past Labor Day ;). I can hardly be done stocking up without a squonker, now can I???
I hear you on busy! I thought retirement would be relaxing . I need to set aside a day to mix, or I’ll have no juices steeped for the holidays. Someone mentioned oatmeal cookie the other day, and I thought of you ( I should have written that recipe down :().

I just bought 290 dollars worth of snus from Sweden. You kind of have to buy more to offset the cost. Even non conservatively (I don't go through a can of snus a day) that's like 102 days so about 4 months, plus Swedish snus is so much nicer.

There is something about doing that that makes me cringe as compared to a vape product that is "a thing that I imagine will never break" which is frankly unlikely, but I am glad I did it, I mean there were times in my life I was paying more than that a day for coffee and definitely more than cigarettes.

I am glad I did it, and all, and I waited until the (sort of) right time.

Next time I order, well I am going to be setting dough aside for every paycheck and ordering even more because can you ever have too much of something that really helps?

I think I would have quit my job/started smoking without it, and I'm really happy that everyone there does not know I vape... At ALL.

It's my weekend and break happy little secret and I don't need hand to mouth action when I am super busy and/or being productive.

Anna
I'm having my first experiences with snus in the last few days because my employer finally told me, no more discrete puff on the shop floor. Bummer. But I find snus does take the edge off enough. I'm not suffering. Now I need to learn enough about the product to figure out what to buy and how. I'm spoiled by my vape partly because it's basically free. My DIY is about 8 cents a day.

I see that in can be bought in bulk, unflavored. Should I get something like that and flavor with my eliquid flavors? I didn't realize until now that snus is nothing new. The Swedes have been making it for 200 years. That's why there are so many brands and flavors. For me, the new consumer, there are too many choices.

Based on very limited experience I'd say snus plus vaping would be a potent combination for quitting smoking. If the kids are really so hooked on nicotine they should be buying snus which they could use anywhere because it's invisible. I plan on keeping my snus a secret at work and see how long that last. I'm getting looks from co workers who know the new situation. They presume I'm suffering horribly. I'm not suffering at all. May be the existential threat to the vape industry is not governments, it's snus.

What have you learned I probably need to know to avoid wasting my money?

It's a great tank, doesn't the t18 and t22 take the same drop in coils? I have quite a few coils but may pick up a few more to have just incase :)

I like less harshness so the drop is working for me :)
