I'm having my first experiences with snus in the last few days because my employer finally told me, no more discrete puff on the shop floor. Bummer. But I find snus does take the edge off enough. I'm not suffering. Now I need to learn enough about the product to figure out what to buy and how. I'm spoiled by my vape partly because it's basically free. My DIY is about 8 cents a day.

I see that in can be bought in bulk, unflavored. Should I get something like that and flavor with my eliquid flavors? I didn't realize until now that snus is nothing new. The Swedes have been making it for 200 years. That's why there are so many brands and flavors. For me, the new consumer, there are too many choices.

Based on very limited experience I'd say snus plus vaping would be a potent combination for quitting smoking. If the kids are really so hooked on nicotine they should be buying snus which they could use anywhere because it's invisible. I plan on keeping my snus a secret at work and see how long that last. I'm getting looks from co workers who know the new situation. They presume I'm suffering horribly. I'm not suffering at all. May be the existential threat to the vape industry is not governments, it's snus.

What have you learned I probably need to know to avoid wasting my money?
@stols001 would probably be the best one to help you out. She's had to start using them for work too. I think she's been pretty busy with work lately but she should see this and then maybe shoot you a reply when she gets the chance. Good luck.

There is a whole thread on snus it's called "what is under your lip, nose etc" something like that. I can't find it right now, but it's early. @hittman is a real guru on this and got me started but the whole thread is totally helpful including US "Swedish snus" which is called American General and you can find it in many gas stations.

For more variety and different strengths you have to order directly from Sweden. I just made my first order and it was for about 5 months worth (you have go big due to shipping costs to save money. There are tons of options and brands it's a matter of experimenting to see what you like. American snus (to the best of my knowledge) does not like, have the safety testing behind it that Swedish snus does. There are tons of places to order etc.

I really like it, same deal, using it for work, but I have not vaped at work for over a month. Snus is great for what it is, and I was in the middle of a slight smoking relapse and snus TOTALLY took care of that. I think it has more alkaloids than WTA even. I like it for chores too when I have a bunch to do and can't be vaping. Don't get me wrong I still like vaping but snus is awesome if you ask me, especially when I'm busy and don't "need' that hand to mouth thing.

I like my work not knowing I am a vaper.. . It's a thing.

For me it wasn't that I started using snus because I couldn't vape although it is more convenient at my work since I have to stealth vape. I started using snus simply because vaping alone wasn't getting me off the smokes back in 2009. Granted, the equipment was not that great back then but others were quitting with it. It wasn't overnight but between vape, snus, and a little nasal snuff(which I don't use any more), I was finally able to do it. Now I can't imagine a day without snus or vape. I enjoy vaping and even got into making my own liquids but snus is what keeps the beast away for me.

Having trouble with my 24 Berserker authentic. I am not getting a good vape, hmmm not sure why? The 22 works great. Maybe I need to pull up the coil, something not right.

A couple things you might check:
    1. Coil works best for me, with 1-1.5mm gap above the air hole
    2. Wick tails should just barely touch the bottom of juice wells
    3. Make sure the outer o-ring on the base is still there (may fall out when you're bottom filling)

Well looks like my brand new polished silver Provari mini with extension ring and extension cap maybe next for a new home :) still deciding! LOL

No more love for the Vari's? What is the best place to list those if you didn't get them on clearance? I am asking because I have a new Dragon that I might let go of but I paid way more than the clearance price and on ecf, I don't want folks to think I am price gouging.

IMO, eBay would be the best place for a new Dragon that you paid quite a bit for. Selling prices have been very good in general, for brand new ProVari on there, especially if you have the box it came in and maybe have an extended end cap if it's not the full size PV.

I'm done selling and giving away provaris. I'm never going super low ohms, I may never use all of them, frankly, but it's nice to know they are there. Etc. No regrets on buying that lot, either. LOL.

I did not do well selling one on Ebay, but I never sold anything there. It was slightly annoying (the fact that I had to pay listing fees as they did not sell) but I figure I'm good. Karma wise anyway.

Some people are good sellers. I am not one of them.

I honestly don’t know how people actually make money on there. I sell some dead stock stuff for my company on there and we take a loss on almost everything. By the time you pay the eBay and PayPal fees, it doesn’t really leave room for profit. Luckily we’re just trying to dump old stock so aren’t really concerned with profit.

I have done fairly well on ebay, I add an extra amount to cover fees, so my ebay prices are higher than what I would sell outright. I went thru my dvd's and sold a bunch in the last 6 wks, now sold a few more vape things. several 3.0 V's of iTaste I no longer use, mostly just a few extras I have that may as well go to a new home :) Edit- some Provari's are going for way high prices on Ebay, I stay below that high price and just make sure you get what you want after you take into account fees.

I've thought about selling off a few ProVari's as they are so durable we probably need less than what we have. After using other devices for quite some time I ended up using my 2.5 again and noticed after a few days that the smoother hit left my tongue and mouth feeling far less irritated. I love the hand feel of the RX75 and DNA devices give a smooth hit but I remain happy at lower wattage. No other mod suits me as well as these 2.5's so it's hard to give any up. I'm pretty sure they'll be available on ebay for some time but a bird in the hand...

I so agree with you but I have so many . I am keeping all except duplicates, like the Dragon, even though I will never need all these. I do have my favorites though and they get the most use.

I ended up making a spreadsheet of all the ProVaris the other day. The cost of trips to visit my daughter in the west and holiday gifts were on my mind.

There are a number which I don't use but like more as beautiful collecibles. Bronze, Emerald Green, Black/White, Black/Red, Titanium and Stealth are all beauties but may never get used. I bought them at a time money was very tight but the deals were ridiculous. My preference is GMZ and my wife really likes Gold Zenkote, so duplicates of those are keepers. The silver and black ones are safe long term choices but I probably don't need more than one.

I finally saved the spreadsheet and put the ProVaris away. Should times get tough I think I can let some go but there isn't much money tied up in them compared to most hobbies, let alone cigarettes. At least I know which ones I would let go.

I decided to keep Ruby since I love the color even tho she has paint chips LOL I have plenty of P3's new in boxes and Radius's and a new in box Classic. My keepers :)

This one :) I have been following ebay Provari's and now there are a couple for sale but not too many and they are all high priced. No Radius anymore for sale, a few mini's some P3's so they are not as available as they were.
