This. buy simple, quality gear that will last forever.
Can you give me some examples, Rossum? I haven't purchased any gear in over 3 years. Should probably think about getting something sturdy and lasting, right? I trust your judgement on this, just don't have me getting anything too complicated

That's difficult for me right now. I stopped buying gear several years years ago. The mods were all from ECF vendors who no longer make mods, and the atties I use aren't in production anymore either. Since I'm happy with the gear I've got and I fully expect it to last a lifetime, I haven't paid much attention or evaluated what's currently available.

I have to say, I'm really enjoying my Luna squonker. I got a Hadaly atty in the mail yesterday, and it's very good. Also have Vapefly Galaxies and Cthulhu 1928 coming my way.
I love my sxk Hadaly clone. It's all I've used this past month, Hadaly and Wismex Luxotic bf.

I got the sxk clone, too, because it was recommended here. Love this thread! The best advice.

Well, I tried. I have several mods, but only use the pagusus, as it's served me well. Make my own liquids, no nicotine, do NOT rebuild attys, so purchase by the dozens, when I order. Use the Eleaf air tanks. So, if no one can make it even easier on me, I guess I'm good to go. Just have to keep stocking the attys...

The Hadaly is my go to squonk atty. Great little atty and super easy to build.

This, plus the stuff that is available has not been around for more than a few years, so how could we know what will last the longest?

My best guess is, the simplest devices from the most reputable manufacturers. My MO is variety. A couple of this, a couple of that. If I had to pare it down to only a few mods I wold say the less electronics the better. Mechs. Unless you can get replacement boards and have the skill set to repair them, I figure boards could be one of the first thing to quit. Internal batteries are another weak link.

I do have mostly regulated mods and tanks with drop in coils because there are going to be times when I can’t build. And a lot of the ones I have are a couple years old with no signs of failing yet, so I’m pretty sure I have enough to last me.

The Lunas were a good investment, I think, they seem to be holding up really well. If I can get 2 years out of each one that’ll see me to 76. Some I got for $30, some I paid more, but all told under $400 for 10 of them, or as long as we’re doing comparison math, about 5 weeks of smoking.

The A+ #1 thing to be sure you are set on in Nic to DIY your own eliquids. If that isn't stocked you won't have anything to put in your gear. With the taxes they are trying to pass the window is fast closing on getting the Nic at a decent price.

Take a look at the Geekvape Solo, Kat. I love mine.

Depends on what you are looking for. There are a ton of recommendations in this thread. For drop in coils, I like the zenith line and for mods...Solo, Pico.

You had asked Rossum earlier so I didn't jump in with any recommendations. :) Always happy to enable though.

Well yeah, but this was in response to a question about mods.

    You are being redirected...

My personal favorite and the RDA in the kit is very nice as well
Thanks, but I got 2 of those already... they arrived yesterday. I was looking for another brand so that all of my eggs were not in one basket. And the RDA does look pretty good! :)

Hopefully someone will chime in. That one is the best I have found but I will fully admit the vast majority of my squonkers are mechs.

Since 2014ish I have focused on mechs really because back then we saw deeming coming down the path and with limited vape budget I wanted to go right to things I could repair and keep going for the long haul. Hence my big investment in REOs.
