Seems they are designed for MJ wax atomizers. They probably will work, but I can't see how to go about wicking them.
They say that now,but they have carried them for years,and i think just recently changed the description,probably because of the deeming stuff.
Rip Trippers did a video on them,the wicking looks finicky and he said they take a long time to heat up.

@brnkwest....I remember having a Cerabis tank when they first came out, I seem to remember it was pretty good flavor...I was really fascinated with the idea of ceramic coils. I don't recall leakage while I was using it, but I let it sit closed up with juice in it for a couple of weeks and remember finding a sticky mess....lol. I don't have that tank anymore but I'm sure curious to give it another try. Which coils are you using...the .4 or the .8?

FWIW I am against organic cotton.
The case against cotton wicks

This is the beauty of this forum--we exchange information and share our experience with fellow vapers. I am not against cotton wicks--I use Japanese organic cotton myself, sometimes rayon. But I also learned here, from my friend @tiburonfirst , that there is a domestic brand of cotton that is very pure and thoroughly tested, should you ever want to give cotton a try.

Carolina Blend 200mm

As for other wicking materials, we (vapers and modders alike) have been experimenting with different kinds of wicking materials forever--everything from stainless steel mesh, rods, silica rope, Nextel RxW, ecowool, hemp, alpaca wool, drugstore cotton balls, rayon (cellucotton) to Japanese and Carolina organic cotton. I believe I tried most of them--except for alpaca wool. :lol:

I have the .8 in it. Flavor is great but the vapor is very dry and after using it at 30 watts, my mouth and throat felt scratchy. I didn't notice it until later. I really like 10 watts but the coil doesn't work under 25 watts best at 30. Guess I can't take that wattage LOL

Hey, tnx for the info. I did decide to order the tank and a pack each of the coils, be fun to retry that tank out again...so thanks for bringing that tank to our attention. By the way, I like the drip tip you put on it.
Hope you enjoy it :) The drip tip is a Molehill, one of my long tall Sally's when vape is hot LOL

Times like this I wish ECF had a “WOW” button! Way to go!

Right. Me too. I love this place. Everything I know about vaping I learned here. I remember when I bought my first e-cig online (GreenSmoke) and quickly realized that I needed information. I found ECF and, well, never left. Thanks, @Oliver :wub:

Nobody was looking out for us and our safety--we had to do it ourselves. And we've been doing it ever since. In 2009, @Kate raised some questions about diacetyl, later confirmed by @Kurt (PhD in Chemistry) and @KFarsalinos (cardiologist), and @dougp925 started the epic thread about burning cartomizers. Kurt also warned us about risks associated with vaping eliquids containing cinnamaldehyde, oil based flavorings, eugenol, "organic" flavorings, and some questionable sweeteners. @Mooch tests batteries and lets us know which ones are safe to use so we don't kill ourselves; before Mooch, @Scottbee was a battery guru and tester here. We have discussed and criticized the use of crystalline silica as filler in certain coil heads (and now it's gone), iffy plastics used for tanks (gone or replaced with better plastics and glass), mod safety (believe it or not, some early mods were made without venting holes--now fixed). John Bellinger and Brandon Wolfe from EvoIv raised concerns about vaping at high temperatures, later confirmed by Kurt and tireless testing by @mikepetro .

Not to mention the fact that most (if not all) great improvements and inventions in vaping started on ECF and other vaping forums all over the world. Big Chinese manufacturers learn from our modders and incorporate their ideas into their products all the time. Everything we're using today was invented either on this forum (or similar forums in Germany, Greece, Russia, England, etc.) by fellow vapers who were not satisfied with the hardware they were using and were hell bent on creating that perfect vape.

So, since I'm feeling nostalgic, let me mention just a few of our great inventors--and thanks, guys, wherever you are today:

1. carto tanks: thanks and RIP, Billy-- @br5495;
2. better mods: @mik from Janty, eGo; @Doug Dino, Billet Box; @redeyedancer, REOsMods; PureSmoker, Prodigy, Legacy; Little Brother and Little Sister; @Trog, Screwdriver and Keyring mod; vv and vw--NotCigs Buzz; Evolv, Darwin; ProVape, ProVari;
3. fillerless clearomizers: @badkolo, @dannoman, Billy, Martinez;
4. RBAs: @raidy, Genisis; @imeothanasis--a greek modder; our Russian friends, Kayfun and ArcticFox;
5.TC--Evolv

Thank you @DVap and @radiokaos for the WTAs.

Oh, and thank you @mrdee3 for inventing the Clapton coil--while watching his friend playing guitar. :)

And lest we forget--behold a very early mod: :lol:

We may need to resurrect that Altoids mod come one day, when all the mods have died.

The modder who makes Dull Dime mods (I only know her from Ruby Roo’s YouTube show “That’s What She Said”) specializes in those.

I'm ready. Thanks to ECF, I know how to make a mod (all the schematics are archived here); I also know how to make a carto tank from a syringe or an empty juice bottle. Cartomizers should be grandfathered in--I believe they've been sold here since 2007. :sneaky:
