Well you all talked a lot about squonking today and my CC thanks you, no temptations for a whole day!

Not much to report... I vaped today...

Still waiting for that black Friday sale on the Wotofo Serpent Elevates though!

I do feel a lot better knowing I have 10 emergency subtank minis on the way. My toptank stash didn't quite equal the drop in coils I had for them.

You are going to be in for such a treat when you do buy them. But I am beating the horse now. Just never thought I’d be this happy with an RTA.

Here is the link for the Tesla. Use code VAPOR25 for 25% off. :)

    Tesla Punk 86W Mod Steampunk

They also have really cheap pre-wound coils Itoo. And their 50 ml bottles are on sale for $0.29 each and they are really good bottles. Oh and free shipping.
Thanks! I bought my first punk from them! :)

    @Astron for the eightvape bottles:
Don't use the 11% of code, use a $5 off code using honey instead. Save the 11% for when you have an order over $50 not only because you will save more (you're only paying 99 cents for 5 bottles and then you just pay the shipping), but also because codes at eightvape are one time use per person so you would be wasting the 11% on a future deal.

(I was part of that long discussion, I got 2 of the metallic resin, then got the bottles separate. They are not fully mech, they have several built-in protections).

EDIT: Also, if you look at each of the individual colors on Element Vape, you will see that some of the colors still come with the older bottle.

EDIT 2: If you get them from vapenw, and you want to get more than one, order them one at a time and your shipping costs will be less than a combined order.

My flavorings order came in today so I mixed up 250 mL of Funfetti Cake and 250 mL of Dinner Lady Lemon meringue Pie

Funfetti Is on the DIY or Die Site and The Dinner Lady Lemon Meringue Pie Is on All the Flavors Site

I'd link em but I am going off the printed copies I made.

Both are wonderful but need 3-5 days steep time.

Thank you for the extra information! I did order two in black. I ordered both together and with shipping it was right at $20. Worth it. :)

I wish I would have been able to post that earlier... ordering them individually the shipping is only $4.98, so $9.96 total. :(

Only the black one has the upgraded better bottle.
I have 4 of them. The first 2 came with the original hard bottles, the second 2 came with silicone bottles.
They are all gold honeycomb kits but I later bought various colour doors as spares and extra silicone bottles.
I bought the first 2 in 2017 (?) When they first came out and the others last year - all from China so it's not the colour that determines which bottle they come with it's their manufacture/ release date.
Great little mods with multiple protections and battery charge level indicator (not mentioned in the manual). Classic JayBo design.

The one in the middle looks like a pipe all coppery. The rest not so much. On that note, how do you know how to pick a mech?

Well I’m new to tube mods, assuming that we’re talking tube mechs rather than box mechs. I look for what battery type it’ll use - I prefer 21700- and reviews that say the switch isn’t too stiff or crunchy. There are different switch types, but I haven’t formed a preference on those as yet, as long as it’s not too stiff, and smooth. You also may want to know if it’s a 510 or hybrid, I have a few of each, because with the hybrid it seems like one less thing that can mess up.

Some people have a material preference, true to form I like them all, so far, but I will say SS stays shiny and pretty with no polishing.

If you are interested in squonk mechs, that’s a bit more complicated imho.

For me when considering a tube mech,,, adjust for your own style:

Bottom fire button that is lockable- reason I don't want a side button is I fear it firing if I put it in my pocket
Anything but copper on the outside- I dont want stinky copper hands :) stainless steel is my preference
Not too many parts,,, this is hard to get around depending on your definition

I lust after those tesla punk tubes,,, but fear my OCD at the finger touch would drive me crazy (mistaking texture point for fire button,, stop look try again!)

That manual is crap. I love the mod though. How does the charge indicator work? I keep checking my batteries with my multimeter and switching them at ~3.7 volts so I haven't seen that yet. What I mean is, does it flash at the beginning of the fire button press, and what is the low voltage cutoff in your experience btw?

Edit: I noticed the flashing is post fire. Still curious about the cutoff. Guess I'll risk killing a cell in my battery and find out. Will post results tomorrow sometime.
I have four of the Luxotics and the light begins to flash very slowly at just under 3.7 volts on all of them. Strangely, the Pico Squeeze, of which I also have four, has the exact same system, but begins to flash (pulsate) at 3.8 volts, giving me a bit of headroom. I've never drained a battery, so can't comment on the terminal voltage of either device. Just found this particular thread - enough reading to keep me happy for a while.

I'm still very happy with the couple ehpro armor prime protected but unregulated tubes I picked up.

Threading is great, I love the side fire, and the battery level indicator change at 3.6v is reasonable.

By definition not as "forever" as a true mech, but the simple circuit is likely pretty reliable.

Looks like I'll rehome my MiniAtty and Fogger toppers to Aus. I picked them up in 2016 to go with a MicroStick, it turns out the Micro Stick works with a normal tank (IIRC the Subtank Mini fit beautifully).

The MicroStick is also on the PIF pile. I picked it up on a whim, really good sale, but it just didn't fit in with my gear rotation. Pretty sure it's an 18350 mod.

How much did you pay for them? I am finding them for about $30 each.
