I don't do Christmas. My hatred of it stems from running downstairs when I was little and finding packages under the tree labeled happy birthday from Santa do not open until Christmas. OK that and going anywhere on your birthday and being subjected to Christmas music.

We decided on real trees with the rootball.. Get it after Thanksgiving..put in the house decorate.. Water often.. Plant on new years day...at least 3 houses have our trees &some have a necklace with the year stamped on it. The hardest tree was when our son wanted the top to touch the ceilings.. 13 ft tree in the house & we had to rig up a come-along through the patio door to get it out of the house--no regrets!!

AH - But it is the thought that does count and having someone think about you - even if it is given as a "token" gift to open up on the holiday, is so much better then not getting anything from anyone at all . . . Even if Ya' really don't NEED anything . . . They at least thought about "You" . . . Just Sayin' . . .

.
I would rather everyone focus on the children. Or adopt a family and give to them. That is much more meaningful than all of us getting stuff we truly don’t need.

Mystery was solved by a sharper soul than me :). It’s hard to keep up with the who/what/when on these fast moving threads!
Anyway, is anybody is looking for a US shipped solid rda that has inserts for both dl and mtl , I found a SUPER deal.... black only, $7 each, free shipping. I just ordered two more...Gas Mods G.R.1 BF RDA
Thank you, I wanted this RDA, but didn't want to pay full price.

I got two. I must stop lol :)

You could have gotten 3, almost 4 and still been cheaper than slow boat vendors. Two came today, immediately ordered two more for the stash after running it through its paces. Mike Vapes does a nice, short build video on it (really just explains the mtl vs dl inserts, and some shortcuts) My squadron of squonkers will be useless without enough bf rdas. Plus, authentic for less than clones? Easy decision. Still debating on ordering other color caps. Either vapordna or roadside has them for the same price as China, $12. Sort of hard to justify a cap that’s almost twice the rda though

The only part of Christmas trees I don't like is that the dogs think that marking them is ok! Multiple generations, different trees, and they keep at it... takes vigilance to prevent 'accidents'. Sounds funny when it happens to somene else, lol. I guess it's natural, but it sure is frustrating. Wonder if it's that fresh pine scent...?

Wish I could rate your comment “agree,” “winner,” and “informative”! But you gotta know I bought them solely based on your enthusiasm for them.

You’re absolutely correct - all these stashed squonks aren’t worth piddly without toppers, and if the well is about to run dry, who wants to be stuck with a small assortment to choose from?

Haha we had 3 dogs.. Poms they were always afraid of the trees. But I could see this being a problem with big dogs

I’ve watched so much football my .... and legs hurt from sitting on the couch. o_O
Mine’s just numb . We started with LSU at 6 and ended with the end of Ore/Ariz St at 10. Tomorrow is the Saints game with his father and his wife at a sports bar . Hopefully we can escape at halftime. Although, a squonker on a football day is a winner... endless juice. Gave the new rda a good testing

Me either! I had been price hunting, and found it there by accident just browsing. Although, if I’d paid full price for it, I would feel like it was worth it.

Ours is a 10’ artificial (allergic to real :(). My wimpy 100 lb dog has been terrified of it since our 6 pound cat pulled it down, ornaments and all, on top of him as a puppy. Until the cat moved out with my youngest, we had to secure it with a wire at top. Pup still avoids it like the plague!

If it makes you feel any better, I’d rank it just behind my Atmizoo Creek rda (I won it in a drawing). Those run @£68, before you add the mtl kit, etc. I’m not normally overly enthusiastic about gear. Now I feel responsible lol.... if you hate it, I’ll buy them from you. Deal?

My best friend used to screw the Tree holder/container down to a large piece of plywood. Then cover the plywood with a tree skirt. No more cats pulling the tree down. Now batting the ornaments around the house? Not much to do for that ;)

    Somewhere between here and there
My family won’t do that. I’ve tried but my Mom still acts like we are kids. She said we never ask for anything and she wants to give us gifts. I personally buy for 9 people. And I have to help my Mom shop as well and she reimburses me. You should see my credit card! So the holidays become work for me. I wish we would just stop the madness. Nobody needs anything either.

We are in the same boat with my wife’s family. We’ve tried for years to stop the gift buying but are stuck every year trying to figure out what to get her family. My side hasn’t exchanged in years. I do send something for my niece and nephew but they are still kids.

SHocking how much we use the thing. Aside from cooking we dehydrate fruit in it all the time. Bananas a little too brown to eat normally? Slice and dehydrate and have lovely banana chips to nibble on. Apples and pears work great too. Saves us a fortune in food we normally would toss and is far healthier than store bought dried fruit which are usually loaded in added sugar.

Oh a trick.... I bought some of those cheap silicone mats people use for baking and cut them to size then put them on the rack to keep tiny stuff from falling through. I can make my own deshydrate onion, garlic, and dehydrate/preserve the herbs from my garden.
