Ok I'll bite. I have five pairs of boots, 1 pair of tennis shoes, and a pair of crocs. Most of mine are work boots, except I have one really nice pair of Ariats with decorative stitching (which I never wear, except on special occasions). When I'm at home 90% of the time I wear my crocs, indoors and out. I don't know how they do it, but those are some comfortable shoes. When I'm working or riding, it's leather steel toes.

I think we need a vaping athlete thread! I run, a bit, mostly in winter when I can't cycle. I don't think I'll ever run a marathon, but you never know! I'm sure you will do it. I go to a professional running shoe store, too. Makes a big difference.

Back to the original off-topic topic. I also have wayyyy too many shoes. Due to the climate here and all the different current (and past) sports.
Training is a huge year long (at least) commitment for a long race. All I did was run and cross trained with weights. I did my long runs on saturdays in training. After running 10 miles I couldn’t do anything else at the house. It’s a huge commitment and sacrifice and I’m really busy all the time. I’ll have to just focus on it and do it before I get much older. And we’ll have to see how my knees and .... hold up as I had minor injuries to both.

As I was running the half marathon (my friend and I traveled to do it in Panama City Beach 3 years ago) I kinda teared up remembering how unhealthy I was as a smoker. No way in hades could I run like that as a smoker.

I wear heels if I am going on a date with the husband. I have this platform pair that.... Well.... I am considering wearing to the Christmas party this year. Cuz it's a talent show I'm trying to decide if like, I should read some poetry and if I do, I am WEARING those shoes. So I will have something ELSE to feel embarrassed about.

The last time I wore them on a date with the husband, well we went to an AA meeting and like, this old guy took me aside and whispered in my ear, "Dear, you never have go back out there on the streets if you don't want to.":lol::lol: I did not know what to say, so I just whispered back, "Okay."

LOL. I'm wearing them. I almost did last year and chickened out. They make me look 8 feet tall and baddass.

For work as a yogini I wear Dansko clogs EVERY day, I am always up for more though they like are AWESOME they make these patent leather patterns that are just insane.

I have 4 pairs. It's not enough. Heh,.

Talking about shoes now lol

I used to wear heels or tall boots a lot. Brown leather. The last few years I’ve taken to wearing Frye Harness boots or black ballerina flats and Birks during the summer. I got a pair of Cavender cowboy boots when I went to Dallas last month. Brown snip toe. I’m going to ask for another pair for Christmas and frankly I think going forward I will be wearing cowboy boots as long as I can. I’m not a big “country” person, but I like to wear jeans, black turtlenecks, cowboy boots, and aviator sunglasses. It’s my look and I’m sticking to it. Lol.

I own 5

Sketcher sneakers
A nice leather sandal
Leather ankle boots
Sketchers deck shoes
A pair of Crox

I expect to get several years out of all of them,, except maybe the sneakers because I wear them the most & walk my spoiled dog in them daily,, all are 3+ years old now,, and appear near new except for the sneakers- but they aren't ragged out either

Technically 1 more,, high heels from my sons wedding
Both my pair of sketchers are nearly new but WAY too big now and are my nearly new Nike sneakers. All 3 are going to a lady my hubby works with that still needs a wide width. My Size changed in the last 6 months from a 10 extra wide to a 9.5 normal width (yeah a hard one to find sometimes). The old size 10s give me blisters my feet slide around so much.

That's how I am with cycling. If I do a hilly 50 mile ride, I'm done for the day. 100 miles, and I'm done for at least 2 days after! I didn't have a great year last year, but hoping to do better this season. I'm already old, so that horse has already left the barn.

My sister runs marathons and like, I get it. She has two small children and works for the 9th circuit for a Judge whose program is so secret she can't say what it is.

I think for her, the appeal is when she is running, no one can bug her.

You have to be built for it though. I ran X country in HS and it was fun (sorta) but I have one leg shorter than the other, my hip was like, "Sorry,"

That is also okay though as I don't have to run. Resuming regular yoga and being off steroids has netted me a 3 lb weight loss. Yay, Partly the steroids but I am also turning like, fat into muscle. LOL. I can even do dude push ups now the husband finally explained it in a fashion I can understand. It is a very fine line between defining your shoulders, versus turning your boobs into pecs. I do not want that,. My boobs are small ENOUGH. LOL. So, I just you know, I'm keeping an eye out. So far, so good.

That's what we got my Mom for Christmas last year. Don't remember the exact pair but it was a crazy pattern, maybe like the universe ones or something. Nope mosaic I just searched my orders email, that folder is handy sometimes.

I love my Danskos! They last almost forever. I did manage to kill one pair but it took a lot of abuse.

My Frye Harness boots have taken a licking and kept on ticking for years. Then I noticed that the character “Lori” from The Walking Dead wore the exact same boots in seasons 1 and 2. The boots were henceforth dubbed “my zombie apocalypse shoes.”

I have 4 pairs of tennis shoes, ranging from new to falling apart which I use for gardening. When the gardening pair fall apart I get a new pair and move the others down one. Also a pair of nice fancy leather shoes in case I ever go anywhere fancy. These days it seems like the only time I have to look dressy is for funerals. I do take them for plane trips because they are slip-ons. And a pair of boots for snow.

Nicotine River, riversupplyco.com has 60ml bottles of juice on sale for $2.00.
Only four flavors, but Bad Mother Custard looked good. I bought 10 of them.

Their liquid nicotine seems to be on sale too. 1 liter jug of 100mg liquid for $37.49, and 150 ml bottles of 100 mg for $6.74. I bought six of them.

I buy the 150 ml bottles because they're more manageable. If my mental math is correct 150 ml @ 100 mg will make 3 liters of liquid at 5mg. That's a lot from a small bottle!

Shoes? 1 pair of black, high top, steel toed, Doc Marten boots for kicking ..., 1 pair of DM oxfords for work, sketcher sneakers for home, various slippers, cycling shoes for road bike, cycling shoes for mountain bike, and a pair of Rockport shoes that I bought on line, that are too narrow and hurt my feet! Don't buy shoes on line.

I think @BigPappa was referencing the discussion about marathon running :)

That was just me having a senior moment. I wrote a post about shoes. Accidentally fired it off half way through, finished it, and sent it again. Saw I had it out there twice and deleted the second complete version without realising that the version I left out there was incomplete. So you guys missed some interesting philosophical meanderings about shoes and collecting stuff.

    So, er what?
