Go put it in your sink,, hit it with a blow dryer on high..let it roll around in the sink during the process,, (borrow your neighbor blow dryer if you don't have one) the sink is great for letting the battery roll around evenly
That’s a very interesting take on it. I’m going to try it. Not tonight but I’m going to try it!
Thanks Kross!

I'm so bad with Amazon links. Check the description and reviews, add to cart, close the tab, order it next time I find something I want sooner than later. I'm actually glad @fiddleshe just came back with a 1500W one whereas that one is 300W. Googled hair dryer wattage and it said 1500W. Let me know when you get it and use it how good of a job it does.

I'm about to cycle out all my batteries again with all the new ones I bought so I really don't need to be rewrapping anytime soon. I replace once a year or so, per Mooch's recommendation. They lose capacity anyways and aren't that expensive so I'm happy to do it.

BTW here's what I considered a failed battery rewrap with my hair dryer. It's basically fine except for some small bubbles that I couldn't get rid of and I'm a perfectionist. Thought I had too much on the positive end too. I asked on the forums if it was good enough and someone said "They aren't winning any beauty contests but they'll get the job done safely."

Funny you say that because I always end up rewrapping my new samsumg batts rather soon after I get them. The wraps on them are so thin they don't last that long. The reason I suspect is because they are not manufactured for consumer use, but to put permanently inside devices (laptop batteries, power tool batteries, etc.). I suspect this is the case with all other brands of OEM batts, but I have never bought any other OEM batts but samsumgs. Being a low wattage vapers, I'm not too picky as others have to be. Not that I would use a trustfire or Ultrafire lol.

Now rebrand batteries like eFest have more durable wraps because they are marketed for consumer use so they have withstand the abuse of constantly removing and placing in a device.

@Astron Got my five Wotofo Serpent Elevates in today. I'm happy they with came with some tools, two glass choices, o-rings and extra screws. If I build one of them before 2020 it'll be at Christmas when I get bored, the Zeus Single coil is already rinsed out and waiting.

Starting to seriously consider how many spare parts I need for all these thanks (as in I don't really think I need much more than what comes in the box) but has anyone found replacement parts for these? My searches on Wotofo direct and FT both struck out.

    between here and there
For those who have a Serpent Elevate, what length did you cut your coil legs? The coily tool they enclosed has a big arrow on the 6 mm, so I'm assuming that's what they suggest. However, in Shawn Hoffer's top air RTA thread, he said his was marked at 5 mm. So which is it? I just got this a couple days ago and really want to put a build on it.
Personally when I cut mine I want them to sit just where the top of coil is pretty even with the top of the sides or just a bit taller. Too high and you run the risk of it hitting the top of the casing it goes into and causes possible shorts in coil. My general rule is the closer to the air holes gets you the best flavor. Of course leave space for a few mils to that it is sitting just over the air hole not on it. 3-4 mil is average. Doesnt have to be perfect for it to vape great. Plus use as much cotton/rayon as you can for loads of vapor.

Let us know how it goes.

    :)

That's very similar to the heat gun I have and I've rewrapped tons of batteries with it. It is very quick to shrink the tubing and easy to manipulate since it's small.

FastTech has replacement glass for the Serpent Elevates, but I haven't seen the other parts. But o-rings in all different sizes can be bought at the O-ring Store, should those not be enough. I've rarely ever had to replace an o-ring. Screws can also be had at many places, including Ebay. I worry mainly about glass.

Here's a search page at FastTech with all kinds of glass choices:

I am just glad it is almost over because our town is about to be 10 times its normal size thanks to the Christmas festival this weekend. The driving is already becoming insane. Soon as hubby is home from work tomorrow we wont poke our noses outside until Monday morning.

Picture this town of 15k suddenly becomes 150k for 1 weekend a year. Now also the towns ancient streets in the festival area are barely 2 cars wide (really a car and half). Only 2 real bridges across the river that splits the town. Now add in all those tourists who have no clue where they are going and likely to jump out of their cars int he middle of the street to snap pictures of historic houses.

Those of us that live here hide for the weekend if we can.

I don’t blame you!!! Went with my daughter once on a school trip . Too many people...I’d hide too ;). Beautiful old city. Many people don’t realize we have cities down here dating to the early 18th c. Good excuse to fill up your tanks, relax and vape the weekend away!

Yep I bought some of those awhile back. They dried out and rotted sitting in my 2016 stash LOL :) Thanks it is probably worth another try.
Wow, All of mine are just fine ... probably last longer than me.
I bought both the silicone, and the rubber ones just to see which one I preferred.
I keep them in a plastic "repair/rebuild" box, with all the wire, wicking etc, and they stay at room temp.
They are just as good as the day I got them .... the silicone should last forever.
Maybe it's the humidity, we are very low here.
