No but hot enough that I worry about the health of the battery
I couldn't find anything definitive but I've quoted a couple of short blurbs below. Can't vouch for the sources so don't take it as gospel. If you're really concerned you should try contacting Mooch and asking him the safe temp range of a Li-ion battery. Bottom line for me is that a torn wrapper absolutely has to be replaced and that process does need some heat.

Most lithium-ion (Li-ion) cells must not be charged above 45°C or discharged above 60°C. These limits can be pushed a bit higher, but at the expense of cycle life. In the worst case, if cell temperatures get too high, venting may occur, resulting in battery failure or even a cell fire.Jul 29, 2009

The use of a lithium-ion battery is possible in a temperature range of 10°C to +55°C. However, the charging should take place only at a battery temperature of +5°C to +45°C. The deal temperature range of the batteries is room temperature.

I guess heat shrinking in my Instant Pot is out then.

Somewhere out there
You know I think the thing that irritates me the most with this whole government shutdown of vaping/vapocalypse thing is that it used to be you found what worked for you and you rolled with it. If you got something new it was because it looked neat and you WANTED to try a new thing. You didn't have to think about the whole sustainability thing.

SO MANY things I would like to try but I wont now because they either are built in batteries or not rebuildable. I can't justify it. At this point if it isn't rebuildable or replaceable battery I won't touch it.
It sure makes it tough! Now I'm trying to test some of my stash to see if I want more of the stashed item, ack it is sort of driving me nuts. But our window is closing so I need to be diligent:)

Some of the tanks can still be found on US vendor websites in their Clearance sections and also on Chinese sites (ie. VaporL, Sourcemore, etc.). I've bought 9 of the SubTank Minis and 8 of the TopTank Nanos and SubTank Nanos within just the last 3 months.

I picked up some STM parts recently on FT. Bases, glass, seals and RBA's. Also grabbed a nice looking red clone, haven't tried it out yet.

For everyone that was worried about 3A charging the hottest I've ever seen my battery get is 107 F or 42 C. So just barely in the suggested charging temperature range.

Well my Debit card got hacked this morning, someone tried to make 3 $310 charges to "Moneygram." My bank emailed me and after going onto their website and answering some questions they cancelled my card and said they'd send me a new one.

The irony? Out of all the possibly shady e-cig vendors I've dealt with not a SINGLE charge was put on this card. The only thing out of the norm I've done was make a payment to USAP (US Anesthesia Partners). That's it, everything else on this card was normal activity.

What are the best replacement coils for the Cerberus tank that would run well in the 20-25 watt range?
I run the TFV8 Baby coils in it. There are a wide range of coils so finding one you like shouldn't be a problem. I have also used the Hellbeast RBA deck in it.

Be warned though that using the TFV8 Baby rebuild deck will require a glass change where the hellbeast one does not.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I didn't know they made an RBA for the Nanos. May have to see about finding some of those.

Well, I can quit looking. Didn't take long to find out that Kanger never made an RBA for the Nanos. There were knock-offs sold on FT, but from the reviews...they didn't work very well. Even those show now as "Temporarily Sold Out" as a single RBA and "Discontinued" in the 5-pack. Oh well...

Well, I don't know if kanger ever made the Nano or if it was a clone, but when Fasttech first listed the Nano RBA (V1, no side holes), I bought one and it was laser etched with the kangertech logo and looked "authentic". It came in a little baggie with Kanger logo, the same ones you get when you buy a subtank with the spare coils and screws in it. I don't know if it was made by Kanger or not, but it worked and it was flawless.

About a month later, when I went to go buy more, that sku was deleted (odd because FT usually never deletes skus, they just maked them "discontinued", and they listed another SKU. The laser etching on chamber merely said "Nano RBA".

Problem is, some people were shipped ones that were actually small enough to fit the nano but with some problems, while others were shipped Mini RBA V1 clones. They still had "nano" etched on the chamber, but they were the same size as the mini V1. People complained and FT changed the measurement specifications on their site (but not the title).

So luckily, I was able to get a real (slone or not) Nano RBA and it was flawless, but that's it, only one.

In the past year or so I have placed WTB classifieds on 3 forums looking to buy some from others but to date no replies/offers. I'm even willing to buy broken ones, if the reason they are broken is a sheared off positive pin threading because the positive pin used on the nano RBA is the same size as the Mini RBA.

Here's a Mini and nano side by side, both without no positive pin:

Sorry to hear that, but good thing your bank was on top of it. That's the only reason I like to use Paypal instead of using my CC or DC directly on a website. But there's no saying why this happened, could have been unrelated to any website.

After @Haktuspit gets his pickings you should publish it for the rest of the vultures.
