For tanks, for long term storage we may want to at least loosen the parts that have oring fittings.

No doubt. I know this from first hand experience. Glass can stick to those silicone orings like as if they were glued if they are tightened together for years.

Well... My stocking expedition came to an abrupt stop when my wife completely lost it on me last night.... She has been home the past week when some stuff arrived and she has seen the stacks of boxes and padded envelopes piling up under my desk that I have not sorted and stored yet. The worst part is I still have 11 shipments coming in (2 today) and my wife is off from work for another week. She has not asked to see the credit card bill yet. I spent part of my morning going to my business po box to look for checks then off to the bank to deposit the checks and whatever cash I had on me and to transfer funds from one of my savings accounts... Then back home to pay as much as I could to get the balance down a bit. Hopefully she does not ask until after today's payments post.

But I am done... which means I am probably going to miss out on all the clearance sales at the beginning of May. :( I will probably need to distance myself from this forum until after May 2020 as the deals are too good to resist.

It was a good run while it lasted.
I’m done too. I never spend money like this. My financial sense creeped back in when I kept seeing my checking balance taking a nose dive, although I did good and have exactly what I need and some wants. It was especially hard on me because I started this in September with one mod and one tank, literally. Later on I may get some nic salts to try as I’m curious. And of course I’ll buy flavorings, which I’ve gone overboard on already. I like my stash. If I’m low on anything it’s possibly rtas but I have enough I believe (ok tons) especially combined with my dropin tanks.

What if it's sold in a hardware store? o_O A manufacturer can make a vape mod but call it a flashlight body and sell 510 flashlight heads for it.
That would be one way around selling mods... I had thought of that and had mentioned it here before as a business idea. lol As long as you did not sell atty's or liquid you could probably get away with it.

Now if someone could come up with an alternate use for Attys and sell them in a separate business we would just be left with the liquid dilemma.

Nicotine is used as a pesticide, so I suppose for the liquid business someone could start up a pesticide company. And then PG/VG and flavorings are already available.

I think the biggest issue would be the attys. And of course convincing people to buy their liquid from a pesticide company might be difficult. lmao

I'm not sure if this would help to get you out of the doghouse quicker, but...it's worth a try, IMO.

Since you've been stocking up for both of you, to last the rest of your lives, I'd:

Determine the total $$ you've spent for "the stash".

Divide that by the number of years it's expected to last.

Divide that $$ amount by 2 = the cost per year to keep each of you off the smokes and vaping instead...for the rest of your lives

*If even more ammunition is needed...compare that to the cost of smoking for each of you, for the same number of years, based on today's price for smokes. Then there's the obvious health benefits you could mention...by not smoking, and vaping instead.

Just my :2c: though. Most women will understand and accept things more readily, if/when they're based on logical thinking and sound reasoning. I bet your wife is one of them, too. :)

What is this?

coil-2-op-1021x580.jpg

It's a highly customizable coil lighter powered by a Liion or LiPo battery. You could use it to light anything on fire where you don't need an actual flame.

The top part is just fireproof protection sleeve with a vent. ;) An with it on, could potentially be used as a hand warmer if you build the right coil.

I had figured that info out and brought that up in casual conversation a couple of times over the past couple months, hoping it would soften the blow when this day came.... Last night she said we would've just quit instead... but I know for sure that I could not, and I doubt she could either. I probably way overspent, but she will most likely appreciate it years down the line.

Plus I plan on selling some of the stuff I do not want or need once May rolls around to those that were caught off-guard. For what I do not want or need I could easily set up 10 people or so for at least a year or two's worth of tanks/coils/mods (depending on how hard they are on the coils), and another half dozen people with mods/RDAs, along with a liter each of 6mg to get them started. So I can recoup some of my spending and help out at least 16 people in the process.

EDIT: But the one thing I did not do was to determine the total I spent, I do not even want to know the answer to that, let alone my wife knowing. :(

Devil's advocate.

Well, I have to agree with your wife to a degree. Having read what you have and bought, it does seem a bit much TBH. And to keep buying all this stuff does seem a bit overkill, just because they are a "good deal". (Not a knock on you, I'm guilty, too).

One has to take a practical look. You might get a mod for $1, but if you have enough already, even $1 is $1 wasted. Some mods may only last a year. But as a low wattage vaper, most of my mods lasted way longer than that, especially Picos. Some didn't. Most probably will with proper care.

On the flip-side, what you are doing is buying insurance for you and your wife to keep feeding your addictions free from govt BS. Nothing wrong with that if you can afford it. But you do have to still step back and take a practical look at this.

If you are, say, 50 yo, how much longer are you really gonna vape? You mentioned vaping if you get Alzheimers. I guarantee you that as Alzheimers progresses you most likely won't be vaping. That goes for a lot of other health issues you will be more likely get as you age.

Oh, I don't disagree with her... I was out of control. We should be worrying about retirement, not overspending on things that we will never get around to using.

Just got a package from 3A vape. (Aegis squonker)
Label says it contains "Toy Remote Controller" with a value of $2...:thumb:

I know this won't matter to 99.999999999% of people on this thread. But on the flip-side I placed an order with BestEcig and they put "Electronic Cigarette" on the customs form. :-x

They make and sell mostly cigalikes and ego batts. But as for the cigalikes and the tanks for them, they are top-notch and they are a great company. They will reship or refund you if your package is lost or if customs confiscates it. Very responsive company.

I just emailed them to ask them if in the future they will claim something else on the customs form. Because if they won't I'm afraid it will be my last order from them. Sad because I would like to buy a few more cigalike batts, tanks and coils from them.

You can grow your own tobacco and smoke it, it's perfectly legal...but you just can't sell it.
I have a 510 flashlight head that screws into a 510 mod. I thought it was fun to have LOL found it on FT

Yeah it's fun...for 10-15 sends of light at a time :D

Unless you have a mod like the IPV Mini 30W, which an be set to emit constant power top the 510.
I just thought having it would be cool since it makes any mod a flashlight in a pinch.

Just think how much you could sell before deadline of extras because we are seeing things sold out everywhere and you have it! Win-win :)

I did and that number has been erased and changed so much my paper has holes (no I didn’t do excel as I had no idea shopping would continue this long). It’s shocking. However, it equals about 13 months worth of smoking cigarettes for me. I’m ok with it. But I feel guilty that my addiction even cost a cent to be truthful. But that’s life and I’m happy. I recommend keeping up with the total so you can keep tabs on it.

@kross8 . . .

You have gotten a lot of GREAT advice and suggestions about NYC already . . . So I am going to limit my suggestions to just a few other ideas . . .

IMHO - As a Resident of NYC and frequent visitor before and after I lived there (1968 - 2016) . . .

Depending on what Ya' really want to do and see . . . A day trip to any of the "outerboro's" - Brooklyn/Queens/Staten Island/Bronx would be interesting - I'm sure and will get Ya' a better feel of what NYC has to offer everyone, however I would strongly suggest getting a Professional & Reliable Guide to take you through them . . . Or plan well in advance where and how to get there before you go (Getting Around | The Official Guide to New York City) . . . Not Fun if Ya' get lost, which even some native New Yorker's can still do . . . . ;)

BUT - To actually see NYC (aka Manhattan) on your own might be better, and although it might be a little confusing at times, it would be well worth it once you get use to or accustomed to the area around you . . . One of the most important thing to remember is Manhattan is approximately 13 miles long by 2 1/2 wide (so definitely walk-able) and 5th Avenue divide s Manhattan from East & West and 14th Street - North from South . . . And more importantly, most New Yorker's are not mean and/or nasty and will help Ya' out if you do get lost (just be sure to trust your gut with who you are asking- - safe person alert) . . . They are even the ones to turn to for suggestions about where to eat too (OH BOY - Are They. . . ) be it in the local neighborhood or somewhere special close by . . . All Ya' NEED to do is ask - They'll tell Ya' where to go . . .

NOW - Transportation - While it might take longer to get from place to place a Bus is best (not a sight seeing bus - but a real bus) . . . "You" will see more places and "You" will get to meet the people of NYC in more ways then one . . . Subway's for those who are visiting NYC for the first time - I suggest only if NEEDED and not during rush hours - just make sure to keep your eyes open and be aware who is around you . . . Both the Bus & Subway are more affordable, unless you walk the streets . . . As for Taxi's - well first find out and/or know where you are going (the direct route) or get ready to pay more then Ya' really want to and without a doubt DO NOT take a cab during rush hour . . . Don't know about Uber/Lyft.

However - If Ya' really want To SEE NYC - Bring a Great Pair of Walking Shoes - And Walk the Neighborhoods (List of Manhattan neighborhoods - Wikipedia) . . . Given this - while NYC is a blend of many different cultures and people - Each neighborhood is known for something special, especially when it comes to offering a "national" food . . . Oh YEA - Restaurants/Deli's/Coffee Shops/etc are Grade from A to D . . . AND - If you see a lot of people eating there, go on in - Ya' might be surprised . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Again - IMHO - Some of the places you might like to see, because of what they offer would be . . . The Villages - both East & West (aka Greenwich Village ) . . . Bleeker Street - NYU - Washington Square Park. . . Chelsea (west side of town 14-23 Street) . . . Murray Hill (east side of town 14 -23 Street) . . . on 14th Street the Union Square "Farmer's" Greenmarket . . . Little Italy into China Town (they are right next door to each other) . . . Houston Street/Canal Street (Shopping :thumb: ) . . . Mid-Town 34th - 42nd street, Macy's and including the NYC Public Library (especially the public park in the back - picnic  even on the front steps with all the people having a lunch break - great people watching) . . . Central Park - Bryant Park . . . Upper East side (take the Tram over to Roosevelt Island only $4 Roundtrip - also Bloomingdale's can be Fun) . . . Harlem 125th Street & the Apollo Theater and Spanish Harlem . . . OH and don't forget - Tribecca, Wall Street, Freedom Tower/World Trade Center, South Street Sea Port, and a MUST - The Staten Island Ferry (especially once at night - absolutely beautiful "On A Clear Day" - just ask Barbara . . . ;) ) and The High Line (High Line - Wikipedia) .

As for Hotel/Motel: New York City Hotels & Hotel Deals: The Definitive Guide (Maybe ? ? ? ) . . . Now - Depending on how long you plan to stay and if You can find one that is not too expensive might I suggest finding a Bed & Breakfast while you are there . . . Just A Thought . . . ;)

EDIT: BTW - Ya' Might want to check out this website in more detail for a lot more information too:

Hope this information is helpful . . . :D

I was in Ocean City a couple of years back and for some reason vape got hooked up with tattoo. I haven't seen vape / tattoo shops anywhere else though so maybe it's just an Ocean City thing.
The first place that sold ecig stuff in this town (briefly and just ego stuff) was a tattoo parlor/porn palace. LOL

So I picked up some 5 ml extenders from kangerwholesale from the sale for my aspire atlantis tanks. They were on my list for a while and I finally picked them up. They were out of stock a few weeks ago and I clicked “notify me” and the very next day they stocked them. :?: That was fast. So I’m glad I got them a little cheaper with the sale. I officially have everything on my list. Yeah yeah I said I was done an hour ago but I forgot about needing those. I can’t imagine constantly filling up the original 3 ml tanks so these extenders are a must, and they give me glass spares by having them.

FYI...The kangerwholesale sale is only on the “vape deals” section. Shipping is high though.
