@bnrkwest - It's hard to believe it'll be 3 years ago already...that ProVape closed up shop...as of about the middle of February. I'm glad I at least started buying them in July of 2016, and was able to get in on their Closing Up Sales later, too. Those were some amazing prices then!

ETA: I lost a year in there, and had to change it to 3 years.
Those prices were amazing! I still love my Provari's  Yes how time flies, 3 years ago!

Also saw this at Eightvape: "buy 1*MOTI Kits & 3*flavor Pods at 70%off"

MOTI Vape Pod Device Kit (Refillable Pod Included)

Total Price $15.24

Just Sayin' . . . ;)

.
The sale on flavor pods is pretty good and many places have flavor pods slashed because of the ban coming. 3 years ago we thought the only vape to be PMTA approved would be pods, now the flavors are banned, and open tanks saved for awhile, how things change!

Well I must be loosing it, I just got a ship notice on a Brunhilda from Sourcemore and I can't find an order for it or remember ordering it! I had it in my cart for awhile but was not sure. About it. I must have bought it half asleep or something LOL
Edit- it must have been a Deeming Panic Purchase

I wish someone with the knowledge would re make a Provari passthru, it was in place of the battery and you plug it in for power. I sure wish I had bought one years ago.
I bought it, along with the 12VDC car adapter, and every other ProVari accessory available (some in duplicate).
Not much of that remains in operable condition today <sigh>. Still have two ProVari 2.5s and a Z-Atty-Pro. I'd part with the Z-Atty, since I suck at coil building. No way I'd part with the 2.5s themselves though, LOL.

YEA - I see a lot of manufactures making more and more PODS, especially given some of the European regulations that PODS/Tanks can only hold 2ml of NIC max (TPD). Personally, I really don't like the few PODS I have gotten, particularly since they are so difficult to fill and most use sub-oHm coils. Anyway, right now, I am just waiting for one that's being sent to me to try before I make any final decission and totally avoid them. . . Just Sayin' . . .

I have a couple pods, Moti and Innokin Gala, they are both better than cig alikes. I have a few Orion's too, plus the Aegis Boost. Only one that doesn't leak juice is the Gala.

Best price I've seen on the Gala, the only one that hasn't leaked for me. Plus it has that pretty light bar :)
Gala Pod System by Innokin
If we were not facing the vapocalypse I would try one of those as a Penguin replacement. As it is I am really steering clear of non battery replaceable and non rebuildable stuff.

I picked up one of these to try and fill the on the road niche for me. It hasn't come in yet so fingers crossed.

I bought one too, haven't tried it yet, but love that it takes replaceable batts and is rebuildable:)

I felt the same way about pods until recently. FranC recommended the Justfog Minifit, so I decided to to try them out. Great for portable little throw in my pocket and go devices. The coil can be rebuilt on them according to some videos I watched, that is what decided me on it in the end. At home I stick to my mods, at work, or out it's the minifit.

Good Lord...those are ridiculously expensive replacement pods, IMO! I'll do some searching to see what I can find. Can you wait, and not buy any yet...in case I find some for lower $ ?
I can't speak for @bnrkwest, but I am in no rush at all, I could wait months before paying those prices. lol Thanks!!!

I think for most it wasn't about "in case they want to squonk". It's because they could be had for dirt cheap (many times under $10) and they can be used as regular mods.

For me personally have no intention of squonking, or dripping for that matter.
Nah... that isn't the reason why, I don't think it was the reason for @bnrkwest either. Only 3 of my squonkers were under $10, the other 9 were a wide range of prices. I picked up the cheap ones after buying most of the others. Some of my bf RDAs were a bit pricey as well, only the last 2 that I grabbed were cheapos because @kross8 recommended them (she was raving about them).

Exactly. Another product that wasn't available back in 2015/2016 are 20700/21700 mods. Most of the mods I've bought this time around are those. Having a mod that allows me to use 3 different size batteries gives me a little more peace of mind about my stash.
Agreed, and I plan on saving those mods for last.

Yeah, it's the old "get 'em hooked, they'll be back to buy the high margin accessories" model. That's why when 8vape was giving them away, I declined it on all 3 of my orders. I was afraid I'd try it then feel compelled to buy more sh|t. lol No bueno.

It's like making a cigarette that can only be lit using a specific lighter, sold only by that manufacturer.

Like the innokin disrupter. can't use it unless you buy a proprietary battery, which is discontinued now. I saw that and ran as fast as I could.
That's probably what new vapers and unprepared vapers are in for come May. I just bought mine because they were only a buck each and figured what the heck... bought 3 and got one for free.

@BigPappa - You and @bnrkwest may want to jump on those I posted for $11.95 per pack, unless you want to try dealing with DHGate.com (which I wouldn't recommend at all). No one has them for less than $11.95, that I can find. All are $12.99 and up! If you had a wholesale account at several places, it's possible, but...
Thanks!

If things get really bad, I can see the vaping community getting back to innovation and invention. Has anyone ever thought about making a stationary desktop vaping system using an AC to DC power supply? I was looking around and found a suitable power supply. This would be a fine DIY project.

RSP-320-4: MEAN WELL : AC to DC Switching Enclosed Power Supply with PFC Function 4 Volts 60 Amps 240 Watts : Power Supplies & Wall Adapters

I looked at the spec sheet and for this model, and the output voltage is actually adjustable from 3.7 to 4.3 Volts. (perfect!). The 60 amp capacity would be plenty, with no exploding batteries.

Make an ornate wood box, and you'd have a genuine mad scientist rig.
I just bought a bunch of USB pass-throughs, cheaper and easier than inventing the wheel. lol ;)

I’m not necessarily against all pod devices. I have a few I really like but look at the cost of the pods or if an rba is available before buying. I really like the vaporesso podstick. I bought a bunch cheap and got the pods for under $5 for a two pack. The first pod lasted two months with occasional use. However, some of the pod prices on some are a little ridiculous. I liked how the Orion vaped but quickly learned that I didn’t want to pay 4-5 per pod when they weren’t lasting me very long.
I have some smok novos that I use for occasional stealth vaping, as well as some nJoy Ace pod systems (that I refill the pods for, too expensive to buy filled ones). Not a stock up item though as they have built in batteries.
