I felt the same way about pods until recently. FranC recommended the Justfog Minifit, so I decided to to try them out. Great for portable little throw in my pocket and go devices. The coil can be rebuilt on them according to some videos I watched, that is what decided me on it in the end. At home I stick to my mods, at work, or out it's the minifit.

I tried rebuilding the Minifit a few times, using 30 & 32 kanthal that I had on hand, and did not have good luck. I got very little vapor, compared to the stock pod coils.

I'm not sure where I got the info (may have been here on ECF) but Pre-Coiled Welded coils from Fasttech were recommended to work well. I tried one and it worked very well, so I ordered a few bags. They come 50 to a bag for $1.72. They're NR-R-NR. I think the legs were heating up before the coils were, in my kanthal attempts.

$1.72 Pre-Coiled Welded Wires - NR-R-NR (50-Pack) 50-pack - 33 AWG / 1.8ohm / 30*30mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Most of the new mods I bought take other size batts, but I picked up a few that didn't too just because price was right :) I tried to buy 2 tanks of each of new ones, but then some I didn't because I just wanted to try them. I think my tank supply is more than adequate. I have RDA's too but not as many as I do tanks.

Do you remember which Sigelei? I have a Sigelei 30W with a YiHi Chip & the only problem with it is the chromed brass 510. Replaced it with a SS 510 about 2 years ago, still working like a champ. Built like a brick xxxxhouse otherwise.
Two were the Sigelei 50w (I think) - it was the one that had the removable, metal panels on each side. Took only 1 battery. Those were spotty from the start and wouldn't fire consistently.

The other one was the Sigelei Spark 90w. For that one it was an extremely tight fit for the battery. Had to work it pretty hard to get the battery to slide in and the thin, bottom plastic part of the mod just finally broke from the pressure. I read online that this was a common problem with that mod.

I ordered some similar to those ones, just not pre-coiled. My one fasttech package that got lost in the postal system since 12/01/19. Their trying to find it right now. Until then I have 9 spare pods, so it can wait.

Yeah, that is the same with the Sig 30W, tight battery fit. But I fixed that when I replaced the 510. I think that was part of the reason the brass threads stripped so fast, because of the battery pushing so hard on the pin.

Thank you so much for that link. I have a really hard time finding stuff I want on FT. Been looking for those for a while now.

I'd like to identify an MTL RTA on Fastech that might give an experience similar to the old Nautilus Mini for a brother of mine who is resisting learning to rebuild. (Right now I do the mixing for both of us.) I figure the precoiled wire might lower the dificulty enough to get him involved. I'm brand new to the current generation of tanks, what should I be looking at?

The Steam Crave Glaz Mini MTL RTA is fantastic! It’s a tight draw, easy build, easy wick tank with good liquid capacity and excellent flavor! Oh yeah, and it doesn’t leak!

I'm glad you brought that up.
At one time I was collecting Leo/Sofia stuff, and I picked up a small welder made just for building those coils.
I'd forgotten all about it.
Guess I need to do inventory like everyone else.
I have a ton of Leo stuff that I never used, and I should hit the classified with it all.
I see where Billy just closed the Leo thread, so maybe now is a good time, before it's too late.

All I can say is you really crack me up with your sneaking around.
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
It's only until she goes back to work on Wednesday (she's been on vacation the past 2 weeks). I do worry about a package coming today from eightvape. It was a big order and I don't think it will fit in the mailbox, so the mail lady might have to come to the door... I am a little scared, but I will just tell her it was a delayed order from weeks ago (which is almost the truth as it was ordered on the 27th).

After she goes back to work, I just need to time my orders so that they do not arrive on Saturdays as she is off on weekends... I plan on only ordering on Thursday nights or Friday mornings from here on out as I think that is the best time window to order to make sure packages arrive on a weekday. But that would only work for US vendors... for China I will be rolling the dice (I currently have 6 orders still in transit from China right now and need to place at least one more).

I've rebuilt one, and I also used the FastTech pre-coiled welded wires. Mine are 1.5 ohm, and they worked, too. I'm still using that pod, and I honestly can't tell which one it is.

Back in the day I had no luck finding one of those welders so I loaded up on FT prewelded wires. I probably have 500 of them or more for my Divers. LOL

Now I am just praying I never have to use them. Building a Sophia or Diver is a PITA.

It is quiet in here today.
Everyone is cataloging their stashes I think. LOL

I know I am. The hardest part seems to be figuring out an organization method that works. Every time I think I have it sorted I find something that doesn't fit in existing categories. This particular chore is driving me nuts.

Now I am down to the really OLD stuff. It is so tempting to throw it all into a plastic box and label it last resort and call it done. Nope wont let myself do that. Going through everything. Pitching some stuff that really is not usable (and really wasn't very usable in its heyday). Creating a vape as a last resort box for other stuff. Also creating a box of stuff that is decent but I will never use to PIF.

I did have a one laugh and shake my head moment. I dearly would love to know why I had 115 sets of orings for subtank mini in my 2016 stash. I mean seriously I am still using the original orings on my original bought when they came out subtank minis. Dang things may end up being hair elastics. ;)
