¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also, don't throw them away when the battery dies. You may be able to source a battery for it later on if you find yourself in need of a mod after you've used up your replaceable batt stash (you never know). The wires are just soldered on each end.

Off topic: y’all stay safe out there in the area of this line of storms. It feels like it’s going to be bad with winds and humidity already at my house. Just feels yucky. I dread this.
Stay safe. I just took the dogs out and the wind is so strong it literally moved me and I am not a tiny person.

I’m not going to explain how I’ve prepared for the upcoming dark ages. And, sadly, it means I’m not going to share like I did before. But that blood is not on my hands.

Also, after the vapocalypse, I think it would be wise to make people think you are vaping 0mg. They may not believe you, but you can't do much about that. In fact, might be wiser to make people think that you are now, or at least working toward it.

Also would be wise to not use new looking mods/tanks or be seen with different ones all the time. It's the same when it comes to apocapyles prepping. You can't be looking like you prepped. If you look well-nourished, people will know why. Eat, but always eat a little less than you need.

I did pick up the Aspire Mulus because it takes a replaceable batt. But so true all the internal batt pods only have so long. I still am not throwing out anything because someone could figure out how to put in a new batt :)
The problem with the Mulus for me is I use pod systems solely for stealth vaping and that's still too big. If they had a smaller one that used something like an 18350, that would be perfect. Months ago someone posted a link here to something on fasttech that was like a mini billetbox clone that used an 18350, but it was like around 75 bucks and it looked like it was a pain to fill... I did not want to dish out that much cash, that and I felt it would be a lot of maintenance... i.e. you would need to have plenty of replacement gaskets and stuff with the way it was setup.

EDIT: I had the url written down so I could check back from time to time to see if the price ever dropped down, then I might get it... it holds 5ML and can use nautilus coils too: $75.00 SXK Bantam 30W VV VW APV Box Mod Kit - 5ml / 1-30W / 1-8V / 1*18350 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

EDIT 2: That one is sold out, but some of the others are still in stock if you use the drop down selection thingy on that page. One that includes the battery with the MAP coupon comes to $57.65 ($17.35 off).... now I am thinking about it.

So I get a package from FT. Its my adhesive back battery insulators. I open the package and there are water droplets on the inner ziploc baggie. What the hell? Did they package this in the rain? IDK but the mysterious fluid has me hesitant.

How are folks storing internals? Half charged or full? I know for externals it is recommended to keep at half charge but I never stored the ones with internal batts.
40% for both built-in and regular batteries for long term storage. Just be sure to check them like every 6 months to a year.

I agree it's strange, but it's just battery insulators.

Or do you vape them? :D

Or move the electronics into a new enclosure. :)

Crap!! I specifically chose Thursday to place like 5 orders because I figured that was the best day to order something to ensure it would not arrive on a Saturday when my wife is home. I just got a notification that my order from Vapenw is out for delivery!!! And they are the ones in the middle of moving their warehouse to a different state. I guess I can pull the old "I ordered that weeks ago" excuse, but I already played that card last Saturday with a big order that came from eightvape. ugggh!!!! It would be better if the return address was China as I told her before that I had some very small orders coming that would take awhile to get here. I am so screwed... :(

I don't think I posted that my delayed order from eightvape has finally shipped minus a few items that are oos. I didn't have any of those cheap coils in the order, mainly refillable pods that should work in my I joy pod mod with adapter.

I am not advocating telling tales but maybe you could say you had to use your reward points while they are still good and didn't have to add much money to the points.

David, you are treading close to 'fiddly' which we know I don't do well.

    Well, you have friends :)

Well I put them on batteries that go in mods that attach to tanks that go in my mouth. Whos to say it cant vaporize the dust of said liquid and I get hanta virus from Chinese rat urine?

If the battery contact is hot enough to vaporize anything, you have a bigger problem!

Thank you for this post, as I think it could generate an important discussion on this issue.

In the very recent past, I, on this site, have declared that I am not going to hide the fact I am a vaper and I’m not going to try to disguise my vaping - but with a caveat - I generally only vape in the relative safety of my car and safety (2A) of my home.

When I worked at the vape shop, around once every two weeks or at least once a month I’d get a customer - often a regular - who would come in needing to replace a device because of a vehicular break-in. It occurred frequently enough to impress upon me that not even a bottle of eliquid was safe to store in a cup holder, and as a result I do not leave ANY evidence I am a vaper in a parked car.

To relate this concern to prepping, I keep only a very small consort of friends, and none of them know that I am prepping to the extent I am. Recently I was at a local B&M and as I was talking about the PMTA the clerk, someone I consider a friend, assumed I had enough nicotine stored for the long haul. Even then I diverted the conversation, not because he himself is a threat, but because it is just not something I am willing to discuss outside of my family.

What brought the issue home was two months ago when the flavor ban hit WA I was at another B&M and a customer was very curious about how and why I still was able to use a bottle of fruit eliquid when he was only able to buy a tobacco flavor. I said it was something I had held onto before the ban. I am not deluded at all about the desire for flavors nor the ignorance about how easy it is to DIY.

Sometimes I look at my vape tubs and I realize that someone would break into my house for those items alone. I’m not interested in inviting trouble so I’m not going to advertise my exclusive (lol) vape gear after the PMTA goes into effect. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to go out of my way to not vape in the car or on the porch. It just means I’m not going to explain how I’ve prepared for the upcoming dark ages. And, sadly, it means I’m not going to share like I did before. But that blood is not on my hands.

Petty thieves go for stuff that's easy to sell on the street. A few months from now vape gear and nicotine might be prime targets for making a quick buck. I have friends and family who know what I've got. I trust them but who knows who they might have mentioned it to. Just one more item on the list of stuff to worry about, if you're the worrying type. Personally I don't worry too much.

Who would have thought we would need safety deposit boxes for vape gear?
