Are you done stocking up?

My FT order has been extended out three times so far. Now it’s out to 4-4. I may end up canceling it. I’m still thinking about it.
You might want to wait and then cancel if they extend again. I doubt if any other Chinese company will be any faster unless you can find one with the items in stock.

Am I done stocking up? Hard to say. Another 1.5L of 100 mg is to be delivered on Thursday. That'll make a total of 5 liters which should last 20+ years according to the vapocalypse calculator. I'm 61 now. Presently mixing to 6 mg/ml and could stretch it out by tapering down the nic content. Probably will get some more soon. haha. I came up with a lovely coconut creme juice and will refine the recipe in future batches.

Could use some more mods. Have pretty much settled on RTAs, which suit me best and should get more backup units. Getting at least two of each kind. Waiting for some spare glass tubes from China. Still have a bunch of retired sub-ohm tanks with about 5 years worth of coils. Can always get cotton, VG and PG from other sources. The other day I experimented with the cotton from a bottle of Centrum vitamins and it worked satisfactorily. O-rings are a concern. They deteriorate in storage. Haven't really tackled that issue yet.

I'm anticipating that the worst part of being prepared will be those who are unprepared. I'm not in a hurry to vape socially. I gave a couple bottles of home brew to a co-worker because I wanted to share and possibly turn him on to home mixing. That could ultimately be a mistake. Otherwise I'm pretty much a vaping loner. I can commiserate with the people on this forum and none of you know where I live!

Oh man, ain't THAT the truth? A neighbor of mine asked me to let him try one of my home brews, and I've been mixing for him ever since. And I really don't mind, but my repeated warnings to stock up on nic seem to be falling on deaf ears. That's gonna be a tough conversation come end times.

I have enough to last me for what I perceive to by my lifetime, and that's about it. I mean, not many people live to be 139, but I'm fully committed to it.

Sounds like you're doing a good job building the stash. I agree with your worries about those who haven't stocked up. I know I will want to help everyone, but the stash isn't large enough to help as much as I'd like to.

About o-rings -- reach out to the manufacturer's of the RTAs that you have and ask them to provide you with the sizes of o-rings needed for your RTAs. Then you can buy them from an o-ring manufacturer.

So what do you guys think of the Geekvape Aegis Legend? It's supposed to be water and dust resistant and all that. Should that contribute to a long life expectancy? They're a little pricey, but I'm willing to pay for quality.

You are definitely on the right track. The Aegis Legend and the Aegis Solo seem to be two of the more popular Vapocalypse mods to stock up on for their toughness. I personally went with the Solo, since I'm an MTL guy and don't need all the extra power. Either one is a solid choice for sure.

As far as I know, people like the Legend. I love the Aegis Solo which is a single battery mod. It's a very popular mod among people in this thread. The solo is water and dust resistant too, but it's much lighter weight. I don't do dual battery mods.

Yes they do, I have already experienced this. So any proprietary seals will be a concern if you don't have more. Silicone orings seem to be affected more than the black regular orings that you get on Kayfuns and Taifuns and such, which was suprising to me actually.

I've found that the best thing to do is to loosen all the parts on your tanks so they aren't squishing up against the orings/seals. I'm even considering lightly lubing the orings with VG, but haven't decided on that yet. Not sure if that would degrade them faster.

I only have one tank that I heavily stocked up on extra seals and glass. The rest, I got good enough deals on the whole tank that it didn't make much sense to buy all the parts, I just bought a bunch of that tanks instead.

I believe anything in Geekvape's "Aegis" line is supposed to be shock/dust/water proof.

EDIT: I bought 2 solos and that's all. I was gonna buy more, but I looked back at all the old mods I have and how long they have lasted and I decided to stop at 2 and buy other mods I like better (I like solos, but not that much). I don't foresee myself ever actually needing a mod like this.

I have 5 Legends. I like dual bat mods better and I think the solo has a screw battery thing as the battery door and that would drive me crazy. The Legend battery door slides into place. I have been using a Vaporesso Gen that I just got from FT and notice that the battery life is longer on the Gen than Legend with same vaping habits ... but the Gen is not nearly as durable as the Legend. If you create a list of sites that still have them in stock you can subscribe to their newsletter and when they have a site sale you can save some money. Last ones I got cost me $33 each if I recall correctly which I got on a 25% off site sale. St Pats and Easter should bring some good sales.

the problem is none of these mods have been around long enow to give me the data i need.
i don't care about dust n shock.
i want a mod that will last for years.

I totally agree with you, but speaking as someone who spends a good deal of time on a boat or in the sand, I'm plenty glad to have something that can stand up to both and keep on ticking. I don't think I've dropped any of my Solos in the water, but I know for a fact that I've dropped my Legend and one of my Minis in the water, and neither missed a beat. Those experiences have given me some confidence.

On that same note, however, I also dropped an iStick 50w in the river once, and after leaving it in some rice over night, it cranked right up again too. So maybe all the protections aren't necessary after all. Just keep plenty of rice handy.

And that mod is easy to open up and clean out, too. Pretty easy to replace the batteries when needed, too, if you're not opposed to soldering in new batts.

No kidding? I never even thought to open one up before. I seriously just grabbed the thing out of the water as soon as I could find it (it was really dark...), shook it off as best I could, and stuck it in the rice. I don't know the first thing about soldering, but I'm not opposed to learning new things to keep my stuff working.

I bought a couple Legends when they came out. They’re real work horses! Once they came out with the smaller mods in the line, I bought those. They’re a handier “carry” size for me. But, nothing bad to say about the legend.
PS... yes, it’s waterproof. Mine has taken several dips in the saltwater live well, without any harm

I’m still confused if the May deadline will affect sellers of nicotine base. I know there is a bill out there to tax it to hell which is bad enough. I read in one forum someone stated that it’s a raw material that has been sold
for years and won’t fall under the PMTA. I just want to know if they will still be around after the May date. It’ll give me some more time to stock up.

I bought 2 in the last 7 days and I love them! Genuine Geek Vape™ Aegis Solo 100W TC Box Mod (Waterproof & Shockproof)
1 came in 2 days the other took 5. It’s already been dropped once and so far so good.
Edit sorry I thought you wanted the solo not legend.
