    Somewhere between here and there
That's a nice thought. I remember back when I first joined, I hadn't even been here that long , but there was a forum - or it might have been a thread - where vapors in need could get help. Not like the newbie forum as it is today. I'm talking about vaping emergencies. A perfect stranger sent me a brand new Buzz when mine had to go back for repair, to tide me over. I returned it with a bottle of my then favorite juice. One guy had showed his gear to his buddies, went to take a nap, and his so-called friends had cleaned him out. He posted in a panic and folks all over the forum were sending him new supplies so he wouldn't have to turn back to cigarettes. That was the main focus of the board back then - helping people get off cigarettes by whatever means possible. That was 12 years ago and vaping was still in it's infancy. Over the years as the tech has evolved and the sheer number of vapors has increased, the board has become more a celebration and exploration of vaping, still helping newbies and still focused on staying off tobacco, but the vibe has subtly changed.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for a stroll down memory lane, but with the new regs I can see EFC swinging back to that focus and becoming a haven of both education and supplies to help the next generation of vapors.

I remember that thread. I sent someone some bottles of liquid to help them out and got Drew at Nhaler to send them some too. I don’t remember the persons story but it moved me.

So I found my E-cig spreadsheet from 2014. I haven't put any of my purchases into it since then so I had to estimate all of those but I had a good estimate in my head from when we were stocking.

INCLUDING all of our stocking efforts, compared to cigarettes I'm $12,000 ahead in 8 years. Seeing as I won't be able to buy anything moving forward that number jumps to $42k at the 20 year mark.

I stopped counting at 100 mods and never counted pods or pod mods. I would guess that tanks are well over 100. I don’t know that I’ll need everything I have but can always help out others. I’ve been vaping going on almost 12 years and have been doing reviews for 2-3 so things have a tendency to add up. I’ve bought a fair amount the last couple months grabbing some stuff I always wanted but wouldn’t allow myself to buy. I tend to think that there will still be a limited amount of things available for us to buy in the future but if there’s not then I’m set and can help out a few people along the way.

I think what would happen if somebody's house were destroyed by fire or tornado or such and their stash was gone. I have renter's insurance, but that stash is now irreplaceable. I believe that's where those who overstocked will be able to help. They wouldn't even have to pif, just sell at cost.

I think flavor suppliers should also have this policy.
I would really like to see them divest themselves a little bit better. They're still links on some of them that go to informative sites about how to DIY and that is going to create a problem for these stores that haven't sold anything directly vape related for years. It's sad that they can't try and direct people to safe use but honestly they need to they need to stop

You still see Acts of Kindness here on the ECF. Albeit some are not as Public as they used to be. And the ECF still helps Many People to Quit or stay off e-Cigarettes thru Support, Advise or maybe just someplace to be.

Yes... the ECF has Change. Because when someone like yourself joined, e-Cigarettes were really in their Infancy. And everyone was New to things. Much of the Stuff OEM's were putting out Didn't work all that well. So getting stuff to Work Better (or in some case just plain work) was a Huge part of the ECF. Today, it is more about Showcasing New Products.

I think your are Right in some ways that the ECF is going to Shift to More to Education. Especially in DIY and Rebuildables. I also think that Modding is going resurface. And more people will be dusting off their Soldering Irons.

I can attest to the good folks on here, including but not limited to Zoidman, Markfm, Enaud, papawbrett and many others.

I suspect trades will begin to increase over the next few months as more people learn about the mail ban and caught off guard/weren't able to stock up to their current needs.

I finally got around to placing another order with Igor: mm510 squonker connectors, large positive nuts, couple of sizes of washers.

My squonk connectors tend to stay good, since I use a 510 extender on them (no threading wear).

Well my final order has been delivered an Aegis Solo/Tengu Kit, some coils, and a battery. It is done. I figure any orders from here on are just too risky.
We just got banned from IVS, Myr :(

Nice way to share these changes with your customers. Wow.
First time I’ve seen Louisiana on a banned list. Either because we tax nicotine in juice, or the sneaky legislature’s been up to no good. I would have liked forewarning though. That just came out of the blue.

For what it's worth these guys were very friendly and still responding to questions if you have any. Went back and forth with the guy about TFV12 coils being the wrong resistance yesterday until I remembered I needed TFV12 PRINCE coils... ugh. We shared some frustration about Smok's naming system.

Sent Dad $75 and had him order another 10 boxes of OCC coils "for me" from Lightfire and he ended up getting 10 RTAs for a total of $20. Feels good finally getting him squared away. RTAs were under the clearance section.
