Vinegar is an acid. There's a ton of replacement o-rings out there that were bought on the cheap by the person replacing the o-rings. Many o-ring materials swell when exposed to acid. Viton and Nitrile (Buna-N) o-rings are most commonly used by manufacturers of rdas and the like, because of their good temp ratings and resistance to a wide range of ph values, along with other things.

Some knotheads buy polyacrylate, fluorosilicone, or whatever's cheapest on the list and can handle the heat. Then, they're sad when the juice causes them to swell, because they scratch up their pretty rda or break the glass on their rta trying to get the cap back off.

Worse, some cinnamon-type flavors and the like munch down on the generic material of their "great deal" o-rings, and they don't know they're vaping the byproducts until the cap falls off or the tank drools all over them.

They're vaping a chemical concoction and don't even know it, perhaps for weeks.

Anyway... KNOW your o-ring material. I don't buy used tanks and such, but if I did, I'd replace all o-rings.

I Agree with what you Said. But I will add this...

You do All the Research You Want, and Cross-reference all the Technical Specs, But if you Aren't Buying an O-Ring from a Trusted Source, many times you're just Buying a Black O-Ring.

O-rings are a Lot like Batteries. Lots of People Sell them. But it can be Hard to Know what you are actually Buying.

All right all right that's enough... I made a very tough decision to buy (3) Vaporesso Gen-S Ultra over the Argus GT simply because I didn't want extra tanks I didn't like to deal with but you're really rubbing this one in my face!

So... I've got three Argus GT on the way. Hope the Black/Blue looks nice because that's the only color they had.

HONEY25 for 25% off put (3) Voopoo Argus GT kits at $95 shipped at ejuices.com

    Now I'm done?

    Want the tanks?
The price on the Gen S is really hard to pass up, esp. with their reputation and performance. No blame for sure. People are raving about the argus too though. You'll have to let us know how they compare.

Do you think my Cinnamon Danish Swirl counts as a cinnamon flavor? It's pretty minimally cinnamon. I've always wondered. I know I might as well stay away from plastic tanks but I didn't know they'd corrode o-rings. Still factory o-rings, but now I'm unsure about these ones I got from Fast Tech.

Oh... yeah. So I just keep buying vape stuff and sticking it into a cabinet unopened. Most of my gear hasn't even been tested to see if I need to return anything or not. I've been vaping on the same 3 e-cigs for 3-4 years for the most part.

You can expect a review, and it might just be this decade!

Guess what I just found out...Some orings swell and get larger in diameter if soaked in 50/50 white vinegar/water solution. I have never had this happen before.

I recently bought some second-hand atties from someone who said they were cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner yet when I received them they were filthy and smelly as he||. Juices used were coffee and creams and the smell of these juices these nauseates me and are hard to get off even metal.

So anyway, I find that on most parts of attys soaked 50/50 white vinegar/water solution, you can get rid of most eliquid flavor smells if you soak long enough in this solution.

So they've been soaking probably 5-6 days or so. Went to go rinse them today and found 2 of the larger orings on these atties had become enlarged probably about double size. lol I've never had this happen before with orings. (I have had cheap Fasttech orings become distorted if rinsed in tap water that is super hot, though.)

I don't know if it was the water or the vinegar that did this (or both). It happened on only 2 orings. All the other orings are just fine.

Anyhow, thought this was interesting. Not a big deal becuase they are just regular oring and are a dime a dozen. But this would be a problem in a vapocalypse situation with proprietary seals that can no longer be bought and cannot be substituted with orings.

Side note: I don't usually buy used atties, but I went against my policy this one time. Sure enough, the experience confirmed to me why I have a "no used atties" policy and why I will stick to this policy from here on out.
Some mint and menthol flavors will also swell and distort o-rings. I found that out the hard way.

My (3) Gen S Ultra are out for delivery as well. I wasn't at all worried about it but now that I've read your post I am a little. My post office is crowded and I don't like crowds. I usually walk in, drop a package at the drop off I already have a label on and leave.

My cherry limeades have been delivered! My regular postal lady came to my door, greeted me by name, and signed for me. USPS in general may be the pits, but my local post office is wonderful. No going to the post office on Monday for me.

18650batterystore got Molicel P42A's back in for anyone that's been waiting for some 21700s to restock.
Every time I see these are back in stock at any given store, I immediately check and they are already sold out. I am having a terrible time finding them. I usually check for other other brands (Samsung, eg) while I am at it, and they are always sold out as well. Supply can't keep up with demand?

At least you got your Gen-s's and you don't have to go to the post office on Monday.

Around here, especially in the last 6-8 months...if something is hard to find, is then back in stock again, and someone posts that info on ECF...it usually sells out pretty fast. The post below was made yesterday at 3:32PM. I'd bet they were all gone within a few hours at the most. :) People on other forums are probably alerting each other of restocked hard to find stuff, too.

Could you explain the Just Sayin thing to me? Nearly every post ends in it. To me this is the kind of comment I'd put after not only disagreeing with someone but also belittling them at the end of it with the eye roll. AKA a post I'd try not to make on these boards. So I'm really confused why you always put it at the end of seemingly nice and normal posts.

What a really good question, especially because it subsequently exemplifies the subjective perception made by the reader to what was written in the post as it is meant to do . . . Just Sayin’ . . .

SO – In other words . . . What Just Sayin’ comes down too - Is what do you get from the previous comment . . .Is it informational / factual / philosophical . . . Is it a confirmation, sympathizing, empathizing . . . Can it be a double entendre, tongue-in-cheek, sarcasm , a quip, humorous or just plain weird / something nice . . . or even a personal opinion and/or a statement based on personal experience . . . How about just something I want to share with others . . . Just Sayin’ . . .

Or it could be what "Territoo" Said:

    It's just an Uncle thing.

Although, I haven't really always done it, nor always do . . . So doesn't mean every post is in fact "authentic" without it. . . .

Hey - I use to "always" add emoticon/smilies/emoji to many post and even the "Uncle Smiley" to the end of most of my post . . .

You'll be able to inspect the oring at reading glasses magnification and see if they are degrading. They won't be smooth. They'll be pitted if they've been breaking down due to a reaction for long enough.

You're right. It's the same type of reaction as with hazing, cracking plastic tanks.

The multi-pack o-rings that some get, often online for cheap, or at automotive stores, big box stores, etc., are made for different applications, and just because the size is right, doesn't mean the material is right.

There are several cinnamon flavorings used in ejuices. Some will have an effect similar to dry rot on o-rings that were designed for a water faucet or in an automotive application.

As mentioned above, it was more than just cinnamon that was giving those tanks a flogging...

I'm no materials expert though. I just stick with Buna N from a credible parts outlet.

If he's anything like me, he's emoji illiterate, lol. I use emojis as the face I'd imagine myself making while saying it, which often contradicts what the emoji name is. "smirk" (emoji) for example is often assumed to be hinting toward something sexual. I just use it when I'm joking around in general.

I haven't seen Uncle make a negative remark to anyone yet. I can't imagine he means it in a condescending way.

Don't tell anyone else, but I use to be called the "KING" of Smilies/emoji/icons and "Air Quotes" around these parts here . . .

And - As for being "Condesending" . . . WHO "ME" . . . NOPE - NA DA - NOT HAPPENING - NEVER - NO WAY (Well honestly, it would depend on who it is and why) . . .
