Happy to help :)

Yes, they're nice to have around. All my mechs are for apocalypse, if all my regulated mods die off. And most of them are telescopic, got a mess of the fuses and Kicks a long time back. The won't work for high current vapers, but for us tootlers they are great protection :)

I'm back again in search of safety fuses for someone on the other forum. I received a lot of help here when I was searching, and bought some from MyVaporStore and CherryVapes. I think Cherry is out of business, and MVS is sold out of them. There is a large wholesaler I remember, but they had a 200.00 order minimum.

Anyway, I have searched and searched and searched, and found only two sellers in Canada that have safety fuses in stock. The prices seem good, but I didn't go as far as starting check-out, to see their shipping prices, and I'm concerned about things getting held up at Customs.

So the short question (no pun intended) is: Does anybody know of US sellers who still have the safety fuses in stock, for use in mods with 18650's? If not, I'm willing to gather up links to foreign sellers who have them. I already gave her Canvape and Ecigarettes.ca.

Geez if an electrician ever wanted to start a small factory, here is the need for it.
You might want to consider these but it does add height to the mod:

All my mechs are for apocalypse...

Me too, don't use them, and now I'm hearing the 18650 batteries are disappearing from the market too. When I read that, I bought more eLeafs, so when apocalypse comes, I have a Kato Hammer mod I like too much to ever use, bunches of plastic bolt mods that I tried for a couple of weeks, to make sure I liked them before hoarding them, but probably too few 18650 batts in the freezer to make those bolts go very far, and eLeafs I'll probably just keep using. If I had it all to do over, I would have a lot more money in the bank

Thank you, rosesense. I missed your message earlier, when I saw DavidOck's first. 'll bet when you posted they were in stock. Now it says "sold out".

I'll keep an eye on that though. I think it would add too much height for any of my mech mods, but others may find it useful.

    Thanks again.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
These fuses have been scarces for many years now. No one really wants them. Never heard of flashlight users using them either.

Batteries are hard to find due to supply chain issues. Same with groceries. No evidence that the gubmint is trying to get 18650s out of the hands of consumers...........yet. That kind of news would be all over the place on hobby forums, not just vape forums, which are much less in number than hobby forums.

Well, yes, some are one time. Still better than blowing off one's nose due to a shorted coil...

That's true. I have a few fuses and those Safelinks. But the fuses I have are supposedly reusable. Never tested them though, lol. Also have a few 12W kicks and a few tube mechs that will accommodate them.

Is there a reason to not use protected batteries in mechs; the ones that are a little longer because they have safety circuitry in them? Wouldn't that be basically the same as using a fuse? Assuming they'll fit a given mod, of course.

see this post (and subsequent posts) for some answers
