Hi,

I recently purchased an X2 Battery from smokeless image, with some cartos.
The beginning was fine, great vapor, easy to refill.
I've been refilling my cartos a couple of times, and now I notice that if I draw a bit too long on it (like 2/3seconds), I kind of burn my lip. I can't tell if it's a burn, or a electric shock.

Do you guys have any idea what happens? Are the cartos dead after too much refills?

Thanks!

I've used mine for weeks,,,,,,,,it could be clogged though,,,,,,,have you tried cleaning it? are your juices thick or dark? try dripping a couple drops of vodka in there with the juice, letting it drain (if it does) and then vape it again and see what happens. Imagine might have some ideas too,,,,,,

how many times have you refilled it??

Sitting down, facing forward.
It can also depend on your vaping style. Keep in mind that the vapor is produced by heating a liquid to, basically, boiling hot. If you take frequent, long, deep drags a fair amount of heat is being produced. The cartomizer has a metal shell underneath the brown wrapper that does get warm to hot under heavy use. I normally use CE3s, but the other day I did use a cartomizer and noticed that same thing. I am a heavy user so it came as no surprise to me. Generally, a cartomizer will last a long time. The signs that it's time to retire it are low vapor output when freshly filled and either a bad or very muted flavor. If they actually fail, usually they just stop producing vapor completely.

I'd think if you were getting e liquid on your lip, you'd TASTE it,,,,it tastes gross,,,,,,,

I think 50/50 is rather thick, myself,,,,,I like 70/30,,,,,50/50 clogs my cartos something awful. DD likes 50/50 though, so each to her own,,,,,,,,,,try a couple drops of vodka if you have any in the carto and let it sit a minute.

With cartos, eventually the coil gets gunked up with stubborn burnt black carbon crud, kinda like you get when you badly burn sugar in a pan while baking. That coating of crud prevents the liquid from reaching the coil, so when you activate your PV, all it can do is heat up the cruddy coil. That heat then transfers to the metal barrel of the carto. How quickly this happens depends on the liquid. With some, it could take weeks; with others it could be immediate. then your choice would be to either toss it or try to clean it. I have to warn you though: that crud is really stubborn and diamond-hard, and it's not like you can get in there to scrub the coil. Simple rinsing won't get rid of it. Usually you'd only feel the heat at the bottom of the carto though - I've never burned my lip from a cruddy carto.

If it's shock you're feeling, it should only be happening if you use your X2 as a passthrough. Then the problem would be a ground fault in what you have it plugged into (AC charger or outlet maybe). You would also get shocked when you touch the non-rubberized parts of the X2, like the bottom where the USB connector is. This happened to me on my first day with the X2, and it turned out that I had my hub plugged into a faulty/dying receptacle. Switched to the other side of plugs (it's a duplex plug), and no more shocks. Replaced the bad side, and now that side works too.

And cool, another op to post my monkey!

with you mia,,,i guess the T-3s will be mia also !!,,,,LOL

it's so sad. my X2's are collecting dust waiting on the T-3's. i refuse to buy any more T-2's after seeing the way the Vision V3's perform. these Vision's are now 5 weeks old and the only thing i've had to do is dry burn a couple of times and replace the head on a couple of the ones i vape the most. (i have 6 different ones going) the heads cost 1.99 - way, way more cost effective. it makes zero sense, now that i know, to have to pay for an entire clearo - the base and the tube should last forever, or at least a very, very long time.

i much prefer my auto X2's that i don't have to push a damn button, but the Vision V3's and the T-2's aren't even in the same universe as far as performance/longevity.

I would love it if the X2 clearos were like that...

me, too. i love SI, been with them as long as i've been vaping, and would rather send my money to them than anywhere else. i'm extremely loyal. but, i just so happened to get curious when the Twist came out - a VV device that i could try that wasn't expensive. i just wanted to see what VV was all about. truth be told, SI has the right idea as far as consistent voltage goes. depending on the ohm of the atty/head you're gonna vape at a similar voltage for most juices. i vape all my juices at 4 volts with a 2.8 ohm head - that resistance gives me the best flavor/vapor combination. 2.4 ohms i have to lower the voltage and get less vapor.

that said, i had to find a clearo for my Twist. i researched and researched and decided on the Vision V3, because of the replacement heads - seemed like a good idea. it was a great idea - and, like i said, not even in the same universe. i'm assuming these T-3's will have the same option. i should also point out, different vendors have different names/v's for the different Vision clearos. (pbusardo has a nice rant on this. check it on youtube). the only thing you need to be concerned with is the version that has 3 different pieces - the base, the tube, and the head(atty and wick). you buy the entire package to start off with - AKA a clearo. after that, just replace the head.

i should also add, i'm aware the T-3's are bottom coil and the Vision V3's are top-coil mophead. that's another thing - never a dry hit with the V3's even though they're top coil. well, unless you really pump up the voltage - that'll be scorch your throat type hit depending on the ohm head. been there done that.

Personally I don't like the top coil. Depending on the liquid viscosity one uses there is always a chance of a dry hit. I get less dry hits using the CE3 than I did with X2 clearo. The top coils always made the drip tip to warm for my liking.
