    Somewhere between here and there
I have 2 mods that have TC capability and still have not tried using it. Is it really any better than using kanthal???

I'm by no means an expert but I've been using a couple of temp control mods for a while now. I don't know if I would say that it's a ton better. I do like the steady temperature of the vape where with kanthal in wattage mode it seems like it gets a little hotter if you chain vape. I've had a little bit of problem getting my nickel coils to come out to the resistance I wanted even using steam engine calculator. I think I got some bad wire the first time. I like the nickel better than the titanium. My mods don't have a program for stainless steel but I did try a stainless steel coil in a crown tank and really liked it at about 20 watts. I've run nickel coils in my kfl+ but haven't tried it in a kf4. I have noticed that temp control seems to make my coils and wicks last longer. I pulled apart a kfl+ I had been running a few weeks and the coil was still bright and shiny. I still like both kanthal and temp control. It just depends on the tank and the application. I don't think I'll be giving up either.

    28g wrapped on a 3/32 drillbit....reading 1.39 ohm

Any chance you can take a couple pictures of your build? Kind of sounds to me like your not getting full saturation of your wick. In my experience the KF4 does not like thick tails in the well. I also very much prefer 3mm coils in it, 2mm, or even 2.5mm is a bit small for my preference, always ended up with low saturated hits. Not dry, just a bit flavorless.

The KF4 does really well for flavor, it does have a bit of learning curve on wicking though.

The Ivogo was well done, it seemed to review well over on FT, it was sold as 316SS. I never bought one mostly because my experience with Ivogo was a big hit & miss. If you can actually find one reasonably priced it would probably be worthwhile. Better then the Tobeco? Maybe, but then again all my Tobecos are still pretty decent, and still no issues.

    Discontinued for quite a while....
