I washed my red o-ring kf4 from CodeVape today. I decided to keep it, even though I still feel they misrepresented the product. Its not terrible, and my impatience took over when I tracked the tobeco I ordered, so I'll just have two. I also figured since I would have to replace o-rings at some point anyway so I'll just get some black ones on hand for when that time comes.

Rebuilt it tonight, already gone through a tank of juice, haha, this thing really does suck it down. No leaks yet, I must have gotten lucky with this one. Juice control seems to work well, doesn't get stuck, I've filled the tank up a second time, checked my build in the deck, and it went fine.

I guess I'll find out over the next few days how its going to hold up but so far it seems fine.

Oh, and I too completely removed the AFC screw and haven't had any issues yet.

Is it just me or is the trend with these newer tanks moving in a direction of sacrificing juice capacity for increasing size or features? I really don't find the juice control feature a benefit as of yet. The implementation to me comes across clunky both functionally and aesthetically. It certainly will be nice for flying due to the pressure leakage and also the leakage you get from the KF3 in a hot car. I tend to change flavors frequently taking the tank apart for a quick cleaning under hot water having to deal with the nut that holds the top onto the chimney and the other required components and rewicking. This procedure on the KF3 was quite quick however on the KF4 its quite a bit more. Overall I agree the vape is better on the Kayfun 4 with better airflow and flavor. That said, between breaking the device down, awkward juice controller, cleaning, rewicking, refilling frequently I am not sure I prefer these tanks over other simpler tanks with larger juice capacities. Maybe over time it will grow on me.

Yup. You're right. I use rayon exclusively since I have brought 500 feet of it. LOL.

Yeah I knew it had to be to look like that with that many miles on it. I too use it and am so glad I found out about it, best thing since slice bread flavored juice!

Hahaha I too have the Sally's lifetime (and leave some to my heirs) size box.:vapor:

I reassembled mine but it's still leaking so I attributed the fast ejuice usage to this, but even just filling and vaping it seemed like juice was going much faster than a kfl+. I wasnt expecting the v4 to smoke the previous version, it was the top filling, adj 510, no whistle etc that sold me.
Most reviews said taste was improved a bit and I agree but it's so close it feels subjective so it can go either way, but let's say for sake of argument the v4 is 10% better in taste.

If it's a bit better but goes through juice twice as fast that's disappointing.

Have others found the v4 noticeably uses more juice than their k3.1/lite?
Mine is definitely thirstier than my two Lites. But now that it's dialed in, it hits better as well. Just go diy with your juice, problem sort of solved. ;)

Ok issues with clones and fixes I've had so far.

Wobble with juice control closed...... Nut holding 510 base to deck adjuster plate loose

Juice flow deck not opening all the way... Air flow screw too far out(should be flush or inset) or positive pin nut not fully seated

No contact......see point 1 or spring too short. Tighten juice adjuster plate nut, stretch spring and file spring end coils flat

Dudditz, I do quick changes and handle just like any other Kayfun. Don't break it down, unscrew the cap to expose the file deck #32 and unscrew the deck, your left with just the tank section that you can run under water to clean. I rinse the deck and I'm rewicking and back in action in a couple minutes. Once you play with this tank a while it becomes a walk in the park. Granted it's not as easy as the Aqua or Kayfun lite but I believe the flavor is superior and with a couple extra minutes.

I got to try some of that rayon.

Yes Rayon is very good. Just wicks better. On the negative side and I don't think I've seen it mentioned, when it's dry and you play with it shaping it, I see little wisps floating in the air. That doesn't happen to me with cotton.

I've tried to get my tobeco's going but they just keep flooding so I'm going to order o-rings. I just thought both can't be bad can they? Oh well. And an obvious test, much earlier in this thread I mentioned that closing the air flow completely does not completely close off air flow for me where others said it did. I just tried this again and there's definitely a lot of air still getting through even though afc is completely closed. That to me is an obvious 'this thing isn't properly sealed' issue. That or the tobeco also has afc screw issues.

I mentioned that the o-rings on one of my drip tips expanded (looks practically double the thickness) and won't go back on. I read this can happen with some o-ring materials when exposed to hot water. Can they contract as well? I'm just wondering if my cleaning process caused the issues and maybe my o-rings were initially ok?

Well my red o-ring mystery KF4 held up to the "fall asleep with APV in bed test". Woke up this morning, found it in the bedding, picked it up, and had a vape. No gurgle, or evidence of leaking.

LoL, I always got a wet spot in bed with my Kayfun lites. So far so good with the KF4. Most of the time it somehow stays in my hand tho.

I can't seem to be comfortable vaping in bed, I still think I'm smoking or something...LOL
