Welp my buddy was able to get me a hcigar clone at F&F price so I actually managed to get it for $40 shipped to the states. Will be doing a full review when it gets here. Supplier tested it and it is indeed 316ss. They've consistently impressed me with the quality of their past clones and so I said screw it and spent the $40, from what I've heard it should be worth it.

Nice, look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. I like that they have the no logo, or hcigar logo option. I may pick up the no logo if some US vendors stock it.

If kidney puncher wasn't charging an extra $10 for the no logo tobeco I would have ordered that.

Check the juice holes with a piece of wire to make sure they're all clear. I used a piece of 28g kanthal wire to poke down to see if it was clear. The wick should touch the deck of the juice holes but not block them. My first build was with a short wick and it was dry hits after the initial juice from the build burned off. I made the wick longer, touching the deck and it works great now.

Thanks KTM, they get a going once over before they even see juice or get a bath, I learned from the first one I received. The FT red o-ring model left a good pile of scrap on my desk after using a 1/16 mandrel to clean up all the burrs.

It was the 10 x 1.5 o-ring on the deck. The last time I put the deck back into the tank I noticed there was no resistance from the o-ring on the chimney. That o-ring has to make contact with the bell. Swapped that out and the Code Vape K4 is rocking.

With the K4 upright hold onto the knurled ring with the air holes and turn the base to the left until it stops, you've sealed the tank for top filling. Turning it to the right until it stops puts the juice control back down onto the deck. When you fill it with juice and open it back up you should see bubbles coming up from your deck.

I can't decide between a Tobeco or SXK/Infinite for a second K4. I've been hearing good things about both but, the Tobeco has no spares  couple more Infinite reviews and I think I can make an educated decision ;)
Where have you found reviews for the Infinite version? And a source for sale. They are listed on Fasttech but people seem to not believe they are actually Infinite because apparently Infinite does not allow selling of their products on FT.

I hate Tobeco, long story, I just ordered one (Tobeco)in matt.

So here's what I got today, I ordered 10 x 1.5 and 11 x 1.5 o-rings and put them on both clones. The one I took to work seeped juice out the air holes all night, never flooding the wick just in part "A'
Here's what I found, the # 16 o-ring doesn't seal on the corners as if it's groove is not machined correctly. This is FT type "A"
Also #18 fit too tight on the earlier one.
Put on the SAE ones when I got home, 5/16" x 1/16" for #18 and 3/8" x 1/16" for #16. Although the ID is smaller the cross section is a bit thicker so they provide a tighter seal.
Kind of ticked me off so I ordered the Tobeco.
Oh ya, no leaks now.

I got my Black Tobeco from Atemus Custom yesterday and so far so good.
I had a SS FT clone before that and have all type of issues. Leaking, Ohm variation, base pin loosing connection to battery when JC all the way open.
I do have the leaking issue from the air holes in Tobeco clone and tried 11.5 x 1.5 and it still leaked. I also tried SAE 3/8" x 1/16" but with that I cannot close the JC, fit too tight. what worked for me was floss string wrapped once under the #16 oring. Leaking is almost gone (almost)
Tobeco is so far the best Kayfan v4 clone, minus the #16 oring.
If anyone has figured out the correct size for the #16 oring please post it. I would really appreciate it.
Pretty new to the RBA's and was using Kanger Aerotank before this. Once thing I have notice with the RBA's is juice consumption has gone up a lot.
With Kayfun v4 i am using a lot more juice than the aerotank, even with no leaks.
Thanks

So I am thinking about doing a dual coil build. I cannot figure out the best way to use all 4 screws. Seems like the people on youtube are just putting the coils in the same direction and wrapping the same way, just across both screws. It seems like you should put them in opposite directions and use all 4 screws independently, but would leave one positive and one negative "tails" very close together which makes me nervous. This is of course having the coils (and subsequently the wicks) pointing towards the juice holes. Anyone have a suggestion on the best way to do this? Thanks.

Try something like this?

It's my preferred way of dual coiling kayfuns. You minimize the length of the leads, and there's no criss crossing of the leads from both coils. :)

@theKiwi,

Thanks for the pics. I was trying to get the wicks to point towards the juice canals, but I guess it isn't that big of a deal. I will try when I get home and see how it works. Thanks for your reply

Oh yeah that works too. That's the more common way of dual coiling a kayfun or the likes. Good luck!

Usually once does the trick. Sometimes twice. My FT k4 though was insanely filthy and 4 cleanings still didn't do it so I boiled it.

Yep, I soaked and scrubbed the Tobeco twice. The FT one took a soak in hot water and soap, 24 hour soak in rubbing alcohol, another soak in soap and hot water, soak in hot water, simple green and soak, boil in water and vinegar, and then another soap and hot water soak to finally clean off all the machine oil.

I don't understand why people are having so much trouble cleaning the machine oil off. It's just oil. Dish washing liquid will cut thru it. Hot water makes it more viscous and lets the dish washing liquid do a better job. You really don't need simple green, vinegar, rubbing alcohol, 24hr soaking or any magic dancing. If you still have machine oil smell or taste, break the atomizer down further. The juice control part also has an air chamber that you need to get to that has some machine oil. I suspect that's where most of you aren't getting to which is causing the lingering smell.

I cleaned mine in about 5 mins, swirling in really hot tap water and dish washing liquid. Sparkly clean and free of any foul odors.

Maybe another hot water and dish soap soak + scrub would have cleaned the FT off, but I didn't want to waste another tank of juice because of machine oil so I just went crazy and cleaned it like I did. I also broke everything down to each individual part. Keeping track of all 41+ parts (if you count the other tank pieces) was a pain in the .... but was worth it in the end.

The Tobeco was washed in about 30 min and has been vaping fine since then. It looks amazing with the IBTanked glass IMO and doesn't leak or anything. Just wish I had a black version with this IBT glass.

Agreed, but in defense of those "magic dancers" I'll say this. Broke down my FT red ringed 100%, did the hot water soap, pipe cleaner tooth brush dance on it, was fine, none of that nasty oil left, 3 tanks later, and bam.... Yep machine oil, not sure where it could have possibly hidden, as everything including orings were removed, and cleaned very carefully, but somewhere that crud was lurking in the tank section (probably easiest part to clean) and fouled half a tank of juice.

Gave just the tank section another treatment, and back to OK, I've cleaned some really bad ones in my days, think the worse was one of the first Squape clones I bought. Moral of the story, make sure to get every little nook & cranny it takes very little to ruin your vape.

Whenever I fill my Tobeco KF4 and open the juice control after the filling the air holes all leak a bit. Once I wipe them off it seems done however I would prefer this not to occur. Also, another question when the tank is filled should you be able to open and close the juice control without the air holes leaking juice? If I close and reopen the juice controls whenever juice is in the tank the air holes leak.
