Looks pretty good. Like you said, might need a tad more cotton. One other suggestion to try. Flip it over and have your coil legs coming to the screws from underneath the coil. I think you will find that it will be easier to tighten down this way. Also, wrap your wire leg clockwise around the screw. That way the wire will tighten around the screw as you turn it down. Like I said, looks pretty good for your first coil.

Thanks for the excellent suggestions!
Yea, was having a little trouble getting the coil where I wanted it -> wonky mounting.
Jumps out at me now looking back at the pics.
Funny how some of the little things get lost looking at the big picture.

With my low-wattage vaping style, it doesn't seem the smallish cotton fill is a problem. Wicking great.
To get more cotton for a higher watt vape, guess I should cut a wider strip and roll the entire wick a little first to get into the coil?
I rolled just the tip to get it in. The 3/16" strip was maybe just a tad tight in the coil center.

No need to wait for the Aspire cotton BVC anymore....
kayfun best vape ever for me!

Anyway Is there is less troublesome clone on FT?

I have both the "A" version & the Infinite version. Various issues with the A, mostly resolved with new o-rings, etc.

The Infinite version is great, just needed a mild cleaning before use. If you're buying from FT I highly recommend it.

@Fernand, your humble suggestion is exactly what I'm looking for.
I'll get the Tobeco clone finally, it's half of what I was planning to expend so it's even better.
Dripping it's something I though was related to mechs only, not really sure why. Anyway, I've read a little bit about how they work but no idea of specs or gear needed to make them work properly. I own a Provari P3, if it is good enough for them then I'm getting one.
So I went online to check the Big Dripper and found the original and many clones. Should I trust in Tobeco too? I found it at $16 in ebay.

I'm running my BigDripper clone with a single 1.5 ohm coil, and I can get great flavor and clouds with it even on my old ProVari 1!. I run it hotter with mechanical mods, but it's all good.

It's probably true that you'll want more power in time, but there's no reason to wind sub-ohm coils right away, and 20 watts is plenty for now. I run my Tobeco Kayfun V4 with a 1.5 ohm coil from 8 to 18 watts. I hardly ever go over 15 watts, I don't get better flavor or vapor at 20 watts, it just sucks juice like a buick V8 going through $5 of gas.

As to Tobeco on the BigDipper, I dunno, probably just great, it's such a basic piece of gear that they could probably make them ok in Somalia if they ever bought a decent lathe. A far cry from machining a Kayfun V4. And trust ... that's a big word. The Tobecos BigDripper V2 clones look downright improved and modern, clear cap and all, I'd try one. Mine is an older one that lacks e.g. the offset airholes for use with a single coil.

Anyways, in the rebuildables the three pieces of gear I use a lot are the Kayfun V4 RTA, the Kraken Genesis RTA, and the BigDripper RDA. Oh, and a neanderthal level dripper for tasting juice I mix.

The Kraken clone was a dollar less than the BigDripper (clone) and turned out to be a great Genesis tank device. I'm using stainless steel mesh vertical wicks, wonderful flavor and a most reliable puddler if left on its side ;-) I'm not sure why the Kraken is most suited to some flavors and the Kayfun V4 to others, but I don't mind. Here's the Kraken without its cap.

Mixed up some 8 mg/ml juice for my son, and dripped to test it. WHAM! Throat and stomach hit! Nearly threw up! Oops forgot that 8 mg/ml on a hot dripper is a LOT. Oh, well, my 0 nic is not on principle, I'm actually FOR it.

Anyone know who made the angelcig one? Any good? Sorry if it's in here already.
Looked real quick.... The red orings means it's not a tobeco or ehpro. Hcigar I think...could be very wrong.

Seems much earlier in this enormous thread there were quite a few having some problems with the red oring models from FT ...didn't pay much attention as I didn't have one.

My black one from FT came with red o-rings, I changed all of them prior to use except the ones on the drip tip. I changed those just now after taking a look at it, the red ones felt nonexistent, popped right out. .The metal work of the clone is good though.
I didn't see anything wrong with the red ones other than perhaps malnourished.(too small)

I did mine yesterday for the same reason. They are much softer then the Buna 70, they seem more silicon based.

If I had it to do over I'd skip to FT ones and go with Tobeco, as good or better with no wait and same price point. Plus *Ebay buyer protection. Even the Tobeco's have a QC seal on the box. Well with the Tobeco the goody bag is missing but still the "buy"
( *if bought on Ebay )

Same here but I have to say that once I got past the QC/manufacturing challenges with the EHPro they are by far the best pieces. The counter nut and insulator was a bit of a drag but Sweet Vapes took care of it faster then I could have reasonably expected. Two days and I had resolution and was vaping my Black EHPro K4.

For Packer fans they do a damn good job ;)

The metric silicone o-rings at OringsandMore are Buna 75, just slightly harder than Buna 70.
I agree that the ones from the FT clones are too soft.

Must say I think the black ehpro is much purtier then the black tobeco!

I have done a lot of business with Sweet-Vapes, and you are spot on. They really take good care of their customers. Fast shipping and excellent customer service.

1) Removing the air adjust screw B13 on a Tobeco seems to have brought on leaking. Put it back in and it's fine again. Is this a known thing?

2) @Marc411 can you explain specifically in what you now prefer the EHPro - now that the various issues have been corrected by your vendor ? I see there are some o-rings included, but I haven't needed any yet, nor had to have issues corrected, and even the latest cheapest e-bay EHPro is still about $10 more than the Tobeco. Is it the more glossy finish? The uncolored decorative lines on the black ones?

Had a minor leak on my #2 FT type A, thought it was 16 but it turned out to be #6. The seepage was coming out between 5 and 26, if I hadn't left it sitting for awhile I would have misdiagnosed it.
Here is the probable reason why it leaked, been posted before. SM calls for a 17 x 1 mm o-ring, FT's supplier chose to put on a 10 x 1 mm.
From left to right, 10 x 1, 17 x 1, 18 x 1. The 18 would have worked but would be heck to pay to get it back apart.

The 10 x 1 on left is the one I removed from it.
