@rkahl63 Yes! And it's always nice to have a new tank perform so well on the first build- rarely happens! I fought with the KMV3 for weeks to come up with a build & wick that gives the flavor I want. I just applied that experience to my first KF5 build and am delighted with the vape!

HA!!! Figured it out. The screw on the bottom had come loose.

Took it all apart and everything was not wiggly. It all was nice and tight. Put it (unfilled) on the ProVari and wiggle, wiggle. Take it off... Try to figure out was the hell is loose  Thought about where the connection is to the provari and use my thumbnail .... yep, turned it and tightened it up just a bit.... No More Wiggle!

But seriously, folks...you might want to tighten it up with a screw driver- it should be very tight or you may get connection and leaking issues.
Lesson: Never give up, keep trying. You will figure things out. Learn your devices and use each thing that happens as a learning experience. Once you figure out all the idiosyncrasies, you will have a marvelous vape.
Indeed! This is day one with my KF5 and I'm totally loving it! A wonderful, flavorful vape- better than my KMV3. I'm talking myself into getting another one.

Does this happen to you? Every time I find a tank that I love (like the KF5 and V3) it's always after I've spent money on other stuff that's not so hot.

Before I discovered the Kayfun Lite a couple years ago, I spent a lot of money on all kinds of EVODs and pre-built coil tanks first, and wished I'd discovered the KFL sooner.

This time around, I had already purchased a couple of

(air flow too restricted for me), then I fiddled around with a bunch of

(OK, but quirky) before I got a reliable authentic KMV3,

and after all that, I find my favorite: The Kayfun 5.

I wish I could find the good stuff first! I suppose I can sell some of the other stuff on the classifieds, or just horde it for the coming vapeapocalypse.

Don't know what to say except try changing the orings but you already said that. Let us know how it works.

I "think" I've figured out what's happening...as expected, user error.
With the KF4, I could get away with squeaking in a few extra fractions of a ml of liquid, without having any problems. I don't find that to be the case with K5.
I've noticed that the upper ledge of the tank (that's tapered in like a bowl) as well as the adjacent surface of the top cap, are always wet with liquid when I open the tank. I think that by slightly over filling, I'm causing excess pressure inside the tank. This pressure keeps the cap from seating properly, and allows outside air in, once the liquid level drops and the tanks pressure equalizes from normal use.
This is all still just my working theory, but it seems solid at this point. I'm going to not overfill at all, and see if that makes a difference.

I'm assuming once one of the M2L restrictors are installed it renders the airflow control irrelevant????

Hi Bronze, no not really- I thought this would be the case, and bear in mind i've only used the widest bore choke, but there is a noticable difference between the 4 airflow positions still. Perhaps with the smallest choke it would make very little difference because the airflow would be restrained by this whatever the setting, but as i say, there is still a big difference on the widest one between all the settings

So we have one who says the airflow ring is irrelevant and one who says it is relevant. I'm clear as mud. :)
