The bottom 510 pin simply holds the bottom plate on and obviously makes the positive connection.

Shortest 510 pin of any Atty I own. Having minor ohm fluctuations when on my VS DNA200. Opened the VS up, no obvious way to adjust its 510 pin higher. No such problem on Pico or VTC Mini, those female 510's are more shallow in depth. I also have to SUPER TIGHTEN the kayfun's 510 pin, or the ohm drift is even higher. If you don't use TC mode, may not be an issue, so far it is for me.

So, Is it a problem with the atty or the mod?

Exactly the same way ma'am.
*Btw, I'm keeping it at AFC-3 for my lung inhales. Can't do it at 4 ~ that's too airy for my liking. And #1 is a li'l tight.

K5 Observations & Opinions as of now:

1. It is heavy and tall. But prolly we are spoilt due to other recent low-slung hi-end atties.
2. Absolutely easy to setup. Trapping the coil legs couldn't've been easier.
3. Flavor - ditto as the KM3, i.e. better than the earlier K'funs. Awesome!
4. All metal looks gr8. Especially on mechs like the GP Paps V4. Absolute same texture.
5. Airflow adjustment is damn easy. And the draw/s will suit most vapers.
6. Filling and juice flow control - ditto like the KM3.
7. Does not leak. At all. Carry / stow it any way you like.
8. As like the KM3, two turns are enough for hi-VG. I'm using it at 1.5 turns.
9. Wick placement - ditto like the KM3. Just touch the deck's plinth. But very forgiving.
10. Overall it is 99% same as the KM3. A totally wonderful & satisfying vape!

Only thing that has worked for me is to make the Kayfun's 510 screw/pin SUPER TIGHT! It's been over 24 hours, including an overnight were the VS DNA200 was asleep, still holding ohms and has not drifted even 0.01 ohm. Still don't get accurate readings on my CoilMaster 521 Tab, I believe on that ohm reader/coil building station, the female 510 is a bit too low for the SHORT 510 pin on the Kayfun v5.

Sir, No Sir!
- much easier to install the coil
- Filling is much cleaner as no drops get squeezend out when closing the top cap
- Taste is 4,5% better than the KM3 ( ;-) )
.... therefore

I'm hoping it's a wee bit easier to install the coil. Being able to see the deck makes things so much simpler! OTH, I've become quite adept at making a coil last for months!

Haha, thanx for sharing, it was amusing!

At first it would pulse-up intermittently - prolly b'coz it was shorting with the air-channel. Then he couldn't find his cotton. And when he did - he had difficulty inserting it. After that there was again an issue firing-up the build for vapor test. Now it was also funny to watch him keep blowing the cotton ball off the table. The video was not bad - but I wonder why some folks do not edit out the unnecessities.

So I decided to try a Clapton coil last night, got some pre-built coils that come out to .6 ohm...

Tried going on the outside for this one

Put some KGD in there

Add some Serendipity

Enjoy a great vape with some yummy coffee!

To tell you the truth, I don't notice much of a difference between the Clapton coil and my usual spaced N80 coil, except that the tanks gets a little hotter now, and I'm only running it around 22 W... so I'll probably stick to the basic and simple way I've been doing it.
