A lot will disagree with my selection but I find that to do TC without a hitch is go nickel wires. From what I gathered, wire coefficient is important for a good TC. The curve for SS in my opinion is really low gradient compare to nickel. Hope this input helps, happy vaping.

A lot of folks are allergic to nickel. But you are right that it has one of the best TCR values. PERSONALLY I don't like using wire of mixed metals, so my preferred wire is titanium. It's got a very good TCR for accuracy. Stainless Steel has one of the lowest depending on the grade. I've had decent luck with it in pre-built coils, and finally broke down and bought some SS wire to play with. SS main advantage is you can use it in power mode VV/VW, or TC. The biggest disadvantage to Nickle besides potential allergic reactions is the low resistance. You have to use many winds to get to your desired ohm resistance. When I first started TC vaping I bought some Nickle wire, never used it when I decided to go titanium.
