Haveyou changed out both orings on the deck?
They seem fine and I have lubed them several times. I tried to change them a few weeks ago but couldn't get the one behind the airflow ring off. Tried to poke it off with a flat head but it is very much 'firm' in place.Haveyou changed out both orings on the deck?
I had the same issue. Try to make sure your Hex nut is tight and open the JFC only one turn. I vape now with only one turn open and 70/30 VG/PG with no wicking issues.Any suggestions on leaking in the K5? I've tried lots of cotton, normal amount of cotton and very little cotton. No joy whatsoever. Completely gushing out the airholes once laid on its side. Even for a few minutes. Never had this trouble with the K4 or Mini v3. So frustrating because the K5 produces such rich flavour.
If you didn't live on Neptune I'd say send it to one of us to see what we can come up with. But geez, the expense to send it to and fro from the Land of Green almost makes it prohibitive. They seem fine and I have lubed them several times. Where exactly is this hex screw? I've heard people talk about it but have no idea where it is, what it is, or how to get to it!!I had the same issue. Try to make sure your Hex nut is tight and open the JFC only one turn. I vape now with only one turn open and 70/30 VG/PG with no wicking issues.

Try other sizes too Mike.Installed the middle size whatever you call it from the MTL kit earlier tonight. Adjusted up to the 2 dots on the airflow and it seems pretty good. I'll need some more run time with this before I declare victory/happiness. Initial impressions are favorable.![]()

No need my good man. Victory has been achieved. Vaped on it a good bit last night and today. Simple 28 g kanthal coil at 1.4, middle MTL pipe, 2 dot airhole and I am happy as can be! Flavor is great, as is vapor production, and draw is right on the spot for me. A good $13 spent to "rescue" this tank for me.
Finally got the build deck orings off. Replaced them all and heavily lubed with Vaseline. Everything feels smoother and so far so good. I'm thinking maybe they got damaged when I first started using it because I didn't lube anything at first. Really appreciate the help. It's a 5mm hex nut.
2.5 mm inside diameter. Raised up a bit proud. Throat hit is good. What's your coil diameter?
I can't find my sweet-spot on this tank, flavour seems muted.

Keep after it and you will find it. Took me a long time to get it with the 4.That's about what I do, 1.2 Ohms, 2.5mm ID, 1mm raised. Wicked with rayon or bacon v2. I dunno..
