ahh, I get it. I'm a restricted DL vaper, so they suit me just perfectly (other than their size). I'm wondering what the range is on their new "Aerocontrollamathingy", (credit to @HBcorpse...I hope you didn't trademark that term) I'd love to get some use out of my old KFL

I have a feeling those new airflow stems are going to be strictly MTL...low airflow.

Yes, the K5 would suit your needs. It did satisfy those who were looking for more air. In fact, it's the only kayfun model that really ventured out of their MTL confines.

Yeah, I found that out the hard way. I did about $2000 worth of work to a K4 to get it to suit my vape style (it was fun, but it still doesn't hold enough juice for me) and my KFL just sits on a shelf looking pretty:facepalm:

Yep, those KFLs are tight draws. We say that now but they were really quite normal. There really wasn't many DL vapers when those came out. Kayfun stuck with the MTL designs throughout their existence...with the exception of the K5.

After the K4 I quit paying attention to Kayfuns, I assumed they were all going to be too tight for me. I only recently jumped on the K5 wagon after someone on here talked me into it. I'm not a cloud chaser by any stretch, just not a MTL guy either. How that came to be I'll never know- I used to pack my cigarettes so tight the tobacco would compress by about 1/4"

Well, I'm not interested in the new gizmos but I did find the Kayfun V5 drip tips I like so much at Creme de Vape. So I'm ordering a couple more. They are impossible to find. Does anyone know if they have any coupon codes??

They're my 'go to' drip tip also ... and I don't plan on running out.

Nice stash! I'm jealous! I have 5 bases and 4 of the 9.5mm POM tips (+ a bunch of the shorter ones I don't care for). Was gonna order one more tip but then I gotta make it worth the shipping so I add more bases and tips to the order and it turns out to be $30. So I just keep saying F it. I have four usable. I'm just being greedy (or super cautious in case I lose any of them). :)

Just put one of these in the cart along with your K5 bases and tips, then you can amortize the shipping cost over a larger amount spent.

Dicodes Dani Box Mini - DLC Edition

Seriously, I feel your pain. I once bit the bullet and paid more for international shipping than the item I bought ... but I wanted to add it to the stash and I couldn't find it anyplace else. I hemmed and hawed for a week and said F...it and paid the shipping to get.

Yeah, F-its work in both directions.

What's garbage about the K5?...or did you mean the K4?

Well, the v5, as so eloquently stated by Senor Bronze, was marketed as a “tank for all”....but did not turn out that way in practice.

To be honest, SM was really onto something with the design of the v4...by and large, the v4 was my favorite Kayfun, until the Lite19 came out.

One of the biggest controversies about the v4 was the reverse threading system for the juice control, which in my opinion, was amazing...but the general public essentially refused to learn how to use it, or accept it...and therefore SM returned to forward threading on the v5...

In my experience, with the two I picked up on launch day, the forward threading caused the tank to separate from the chimney every time I opened the juice flow. No matter what I did.

Keep in mind, I’d been using Kayfuns since the 3.1 came out, so I was no stranger to their ecosystem or rebuildable tanks in general.

All the above, along with the massive size, and the v5 ended up being the only Kayfun I ever sold.

Yeah, other than testing flavors with my mini V3s I am using the KFL19 (24mm extended mode) exclusively. I really like the Mini V3s and the Prime (great little attys) but the 5ml capacity of these 19s (without making them M1A1s) is a big plus. The supposed disadvantage of internal airflow and bottom fill are really not a disadvantage to me. In fact trading those features for allowing a more compact profile is actually the giant plus.

I liked the reverse threading on the V4 Juice Control too, I wish the V5 had them. I haven't had the tank separate yet, but I've been lubricating my o'rings with Bees Wax for the last couple of years (something that probably would've made life easier when I used my K4s daily) The Juice Control on my 5 and 5² are buttery smooth with Bees Wax on them.

The other K4 thing I remember people complaining about was the spring being a conductor. I bought into that at first and made a piece to eliminate mine. I eventually went back with the spring because it really didn't cause a problem with temp Control, and the tank functions better with it in there (opens and closes).

When I opened the box on my K5² I was like WTH!?! I've never owned anything larger than 22mm so a was a bit freaked out when I saw how massive that tank is in person. But it fit's quite nicely on a Dicodes 21700 and does exactly what I wanted the pair to do (battery and juice lasts all day AND gives my biceps a workout:facepalm:)

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how relatively small the K5 was in person. It's no KFL, but it's 4+mm shorter than the K4 and it's 20% lighter....maybe I should say 20% less-heavy. It's hard to refer to a 80+gram tank as light
