I'm guessing it's gonna fail just as badly as everything else in 2020, so it seems fitting that we call it the K20!

BLASPHEMY!

Watched Bogan’s review. Basically what I gather is you’re getting a smoother airflow and an all around better quality air system. According to Bogan the nylon grub in his 19 is stuck and sounds like others have stuck grubs. This Aerothingy is far superior from a quality standpoint. That said, I haven’t had any trouble with my 19 grub but then I adjusted it only once when I got it. Haven’t touched it since. Bogan said he isn’t getting any better flavor or wider airflow range.

Again, if you already have a 19 then buying a 21 would probably not have much payback. If you have dough to burn then OK. If you were buying a lite for the first time then the 21 might be a better choice. You do get a dome with it so there’s that.

I wonder if this means they will quit selling the 19s.

Great to read I'm not the only one - that '19 kayfun Lite nylon grub screw was hard stuck in two of mine, and had to heat-gun them out as the flathead were worn too.
Mine may be stuck too. I wouldn’t know. Adjusted it out of the box back when I got it and haven’t touched it since. This Aerothingy should solve that problem. As for performance, I suspect it will be only marginal.

I’ve got one of the nylon grubs stuck...well, not stuck, but the walls of the flat head slot broke...and having used nylon grubs in other SM tanks, and in other real-life applications, I know enough to tread carefully.

I’m assuming they’ll discontinue the K19 as we know it, and proceed only with the K21, and the standalone Aerocontrollamathing upgrade deck, and the MTL pin for the Aerocontrollamathing.

Since the K21 base is the same as the K19, with the deck really being the only change, plus all the accessories being compatible for K19/K21, there’s no need for them to continue selling the K19.

BUT...that being said...I do not own a high-end internationally selling vape company...so who knows?

I’d be willing to bet they sell the remaining K19 stock, and push forward with K21.

I only own one KFL'19, XS 1.2mm center pin, never needed to adjust the screw, was actually absolutely perfect with zero adjustment.
On my Prime I have nozzle kit, slot 1 on the air adjustment. They appear to be quite similar when I draw.
I will buy more KFL, I prefer extension kits, so in terms of price they come out the same.

I kinda figger they'll discontinue the 19. Not sure why they'd keep selling it for the reasons you raise.

SVM is kind of marketing this Aerothingy as a MTL upgrade, blah, blah, blah. Sorry, but I'm not seeing much of an upgrade. Better? Possibly. Worthy of a new release that costs more? No. I'm kind of coming around to thinking they're just fixing the grub air system on the K19 (as I learn this problem is bigger than I thought). Perhaps the only reason why we have not heard more people griping about the K19 grub screw is because many of us adjusted them when we got them and haven't touched them since.

It’s definitely a re-do on their air system in the K19...I’m not sure it’s necessarily an upgrade from the K19’s airflow itself, aside from the issues with the nylon grubs.

The Areo-thingy MTL pin is an OPTION over the stock Aero-thingy system, but I’d not call it an upgrade.

I really think they could have “wowed” more people if they released the new deck and new accessories, but not as a “new tank”.

It would be kinda cool to see a company release a tank, and instead of making a new version next year, just design inside the sandbox of the existing tank.

I'm not done with these tanks by any stretch, I'm gonna modify them for sure. I LOVE the form factor, and I really love the flavor. I just need a tinny bit more air (which will be easy) and I'm sure i'll need more juice (which may be impossible with max VG) But I'll keep you guys up to date

K20 Report;
Airflow:
Over the last few days I tried to convert to MTL (old dog new tricks...ain't happenin') so I opened the +pin hole to a whopping 2.5mm (stock is 2.5mm that tapers down to 1.8mm right at the top) but I knew I could put the Aerocontrollamathing™ pin back in and close it down if needed. Due to other restrictions in the base the airflow was right about where I like it, so I vaped it like that for almost a day but it was noisy af!! So today I replaced the Aerocontrollamathing™ and set it at it's most open position - Noise level down, flavor up, and no difference in the draw!
Conclusion: Airflow solved

Juice flow:
To early to tell how the juice flow is going to respond to this style of vaping, it really wasn't designed for it. First tank took some help to get started. I literally had to cover the air hole and give it a tug or two through the first mL to keep the juice flowing, but then it was off to the races. I'm attributing some of this to cold temps and thicker than normal max-VG juice, but time will tell.

I really wish one of you hard core MTLr's with a keen sense of taste would give one of these things a comparison to their K19. I swear that pin makes a big difference in flavor when comparing it to the huge open hole I made in my +pin. Same air volume but MUCH improved flavor.

I’ve watched three reviews of the 21 and all three said flavor was the same or negligibly better. That’s all I have to go by.

FYI, I can already tell I'll be keeping both of these tanks. The flavor is just too good and I definitely want the extra volume that the 24mm provides...I should've mod'd the 24mm and sold the 22mm!!
