I do this often...start at the smallest setting and take a few draws..go to the next and take a few draws..then open it to the next and take a few draws again..when I get to the fully open setting, it almost tastes like I different juice.
It always amazes me how the flavour profile changes, (and improves) as more air goes through.
This baby is very well designed.
I definitely think there is an optimal AF setting to a specific juice, build, and type of tank. I agree too small and your coil can be to hot, but too much air on an average mtl set up can also hinder flavor as well. I guess it mainly goes hand in hand with wattage. I agree with you on the prime and at least with my specific build, the most open seems the best flavor

Very true and again this device just proves that for me. On this airflow=flavour...up to a point that is.
When I first got it, it was all about the wonderful airflow restriction for me. 2-3 was just perfect. I now find I go to 4 more often, because the flavour is better there for me. I'm surprising myself that i'm mtling lately with so much air, but its because this device does it so well...!
I want to rave again...for me this Prime is THE best device Svoemesto has ever produced. Its going to be mighty difficult for them to better this...

I've been vaping for almost 5 years now and pride myself on how I've always looked after my stuff. Never broken or dropped anything. Until recently. Managed to drop a Kabuki and crack the quartz glass, a week later managed to crack the plexi in the Kayfun 5 nano tank and now managed to drop my Prime and break the glass. I blame this sudden clumsiness on having a 2 year old son who never lets us get any sleep at night! Thank goodness for the steel tank.

So I thought I'd measure the capacity with the steel tank. Some previous versions of the Kayfun have often seen the capacity increased a little with the all-steel look. I know Bronze measured with the glass and got just under 3mls I think. The steel, according to my syringe holds just OVER 3mls. About 3.2/3.3mls.

Makes me wonder did Svoemesto just state 2mls on the documentation and specs to get the TPD off their backs! These definitely are NOT 2ml tanks!

Most definitely more than 2mls.

So... I take a break from the forum and what happens in my absence?

I honestly thought "Hey, I'm set for life... reserve nic supply, several Radii devices, 2 KFMv3s, 2 KF5s, spares kits and glass tubes, etc. Nothing else to buy other than consumables, right? Just sit back and enjoy the savings after a great investment, right? But then... DAYUM!

So now, I absolutely must have at least 2 of these to compliment my Kayfun family, and of course I need the spares kits and glass tubes (at least 2 extras), and any other replacement parts kits. And I also need the extender kit(s), even thought I have no intention of actually using them since I like the KF5s for larger capacity (and easy builds), but they're an option, so I absolutely must have that option, just in case.

I love the idea of the short and stout design, combining the best features of the KFMv3 and KF5 together to birth an awesome MTL tank, and I'm sure I'll be getting one (or two) with all the spares and options after the new year. Just another great investment, at least until SM comes out with yet another great design! :D

I am curious why this thread ended up the HHV sub-forum though, since I don't see it listed on their site? Are ya'll trying to drop a hint and get them to carry it?? If they do, I'll definitely be ordering from them since I've had nothing but great experience with HHV for hardware and liquid.

BTW: Wassup peeps! I haven't been around since the beginning of the year and I miss you all!

Hey Bu. HHV has a link to their subforum on their webpage. Gotta dig for it a little (under information) but it's there. I put the Kayfun threads on the HHV subforum so we could monitor it ourselves. Lori (LA Waters) was ordained subforum mod and she keeps the peace. I got tired of the Kayfun threads being on the general forum because they always ended up in a clone vs authentic war. Being on the HHV subforum we can better enforce the thread rules.

Sorry you have to drain your wallet for the Prime but they are terrific RTAs. Nice compact size. Where the K5 was tall and wide and the KM3 was just tall, thie Prime is short and wide. Perfect for compact, 22mm mods. And it performs beautifully. Not sure if/when HHV will get Primes for sale. They've been trying to get some but Svoemesto still doesn't have them to ship.

Agreed this is a must have if your a kayfun fanatic and imo the best. I do think bronze had added the km3 thread here because he wanted hhv to carry them, plus at the time the other km3 thread included clones, which he and most others didn't want, so as to not compete or offend, he made it in this sub forum in which now the prime follows.

It's not really a drain, since I've been saving so much money lately on gear, and I really deserve some new gear! :) I hear you in regards to the threads outside the HHV forums, so that makes perfect sense. Now just deciding if I'm going to jump on the next batch or wait until after the new year as a late Christmas present to myself.

May I introduce...

The Kayfun 5 Squared!

(Just one more to look at, and consider)

Yep, I saw that one too. Looks like a great solution to bring all the Kayfun goodness to the DL vaper, and fix where the K5 fell short in that respect. I only DL on occasion, and the K5 with the airflow on its most open works for me in that capacity, so I probably won't be jumping on that beast. :D

Just for clarification, my feelings for clones are irrelevant. My problem was that all those Kayfun threads on the general forum always ended up in fights over genuine vs clone. Threads have been closed down due to the fighting. I got tired of it. So the Kayfun threads here in the HHV subforum are dedicated to authentics only where they can be closely monitored. If folks want to talk about clones there are those threads out there on the general forum and they can have whatever rules they want. The more separation between the two, the better. :)

My problem with threads that do not differentiate between clones and authentics is that you end up with info that does not apply to either, or, at least, info that cannot be applied to either with any reliability. They just become junk threads after a while.

What other tanks do you use? Are there other rebuildables that are 0.8 or lower? It is refreshing to see that some still enjoy tight draws, as for me, I always considered myself liking tight draws, but under 1mm is super tight, I find 1.6 to 2mm just right

I am using liteplus v2 in a very tight setting. And mu flash e vapor vs 17mm with the smallewt air screw feels really well. I once had kayfun v4 and it gurgles no matter what i did in a tightness i really like and kayfun mini v3 is like that too and some other tanks i used

Hee Ha! :w00t: Just ordered the KF Prime on Origin Vapes. When I checked my email and saw that the “we have them” email came in at 7:42pm yesterday, I was worried - who knows how many they got in and how many peeps (that check their email more regularly) were on waiting list??
Sooooo happy I got one in time.

I’m cheap, I guess, cause’ checked free shipping. This is most I’ve ever paid for a tank OR for a mod so far. Will be real glad to get it, tho, based on reviews plus all the great posts here, so thanks, guys!

Also happy I can unsubscribe now to another website whose waiting list I’m on. They’ve been sending me daily emails (not Origin or Creme de’ Vapes) and emails have been about everything else BUT the Prime being in stock.

Hope all are having a great day:)
