Ok so i couldn't keep myself from trying this device out. So far so good, great vapor production, flavor is a little less in comparison to the nautilus 2 at the moment (sorry!). A little metallic. Maybe i didn't clean it well enough. I made a coil using 2,4 gauge wire, 8 wraps with a diameter of 2,5. I come out at 0,73 Ohms. Is this ok? What wattage should i use? I'm doing 20 watts at the moment. Coil and wick look good after a good hour of usage. I tried using 2,8 gauge wire first but i couldn't clamp it down very well. The screws have very little overhang.

I'm using the smallest one. I truly find the limits this tank has (biggest and smallest airflow setting) to be just perfect. Only the taste is a little worrisome.
I used mine right away after only a hot water rinse...

A couple days later, I boiled it in soapy water (Dawn).

Did it improve it's flavor? I think it did.

I don't have the Prime (yet), but in the KM3 and K5 I get a big drop off in flavor when I tried the 26ga SS vs. the 28ga. I tried spaced, open, several different builds, and was really surprised in the difference the thicker guage made. I'd think that 24ga would give even lower flavor, at least for me. I'm certainly no expert, but before I started building, it seemed almost a consensus in my research on this site and others that 28ga was the preferred guage for later Kayfuns. Worth a try after that investment, maybe...
Oh, and +1 on the lower wattage. I get the best flavor at the lowest wattage possible, at the 7-8.5 ohm range.

Mine was tasting 'very very good' after a quick warm water rinse upon arrival. Thoroughly stripped it down 3 days ago and cleaned it excessively. My goodness what a difference. Flavour is mouthwatering now.

I always will have a soft spot for the Kayfun Lite Plus. Just the big old faithful that never breaks down, doesn't need adjusted with liquid control or o-rings lubed etc. Just a workhorse that does the job. However, it pains me to admit it that it just isn't possible to replicate flavour density of the Prime in the KFL+. It is close, and still extremely good, but the Prime is definitely a better flavour tank. Hands down.

I suggest a much lower wattage and a bit more air.

I sure get better flavor with lower watts, but as always YMMV as taste is subjective, ya know.

I'm using my air flow at 3 or 4, but I also like an airier MTL vape than many.
I would agree with this. I usually vape at 11.4 watts on the Radius with all my tanks. Been doing that with the Prime but just dialled it down to 9 watts and the flavour is superb. The Prime plays very nicely with lower wattage. I don't think that's the case for all MTL tanks, but certainly applicable to the Prime.

Hi everybody, New kayfun user here. Today I received the Prime in my mail. Super excited.. BUT, when opening the package I noticed that the glass of the tank was broken and due to the very crappy packaging it came in it had scratched up the rest of the tank quite badly.. I have to say i'm not really pleased with this since its price point. No spare glass in packaging. (Also no manual whatsoever..?) I've sent a message to kayfun and i'm hoping they will set this straight. Using the metal tank is quite stressful I think since u dont see ur juice level which is kinda stressful in my opinion.
I've sent a kfl+ back to svoemesto for much less(little cosmetics)and they've sent me another one.

My Kayfun 5 Squared arrived from France...

The box seal was cut open, and I was concerned, until I determined that the vendor added packing material to protect my RTA.

A Good Move by Them!!!

How many Ohms are ur coils in the lower wattage. I'm really struggling to even get above 1 Ohm. I'm aiming at 1.8 Ohms. But at the moment I didnt even come close. I'm using 2,8 and 2,4 gauge wire. Yesterday i did like 10 wraps or something with the 2.4 gauge wire and it got me 1.1 ohms. I only get a hint of flavor compared to the nautilus 2 tank which i was using before. Also dont like the warmer vape its giving me now.

Kanthal?

Do 7 wraps of 28awg, 2mm I'D. Should give you 1.3/4ohms. I keep my watts at at 17w, biggest airflow setting.

I've been experimenting with 2.8 ga as well. How in hell did u get 7-8.5 ohm? Can u post a picture of ur build? I'm struggling to even get above 1. Well im a noob but this isnt really rocket-science is it?

As long as you're vaping on a regulated mod, why are you aiming for specific ohms?
It doesn't matter; the mass of wire to be heated is what matters.
And for this tank, imho, a 24g 10 wrap build is waaaay too much material and hence heat and hence lack of taste.

Go for a comfy 26-28g 5-7wrap build.

Edit: I'm sure he meant 7.5-8 Watts. No way to get to 7-8 Ohms, and no reason to do so :)
