Authentic Svoemesto Kayfun Prime

I love my Prime, but I have to give the edge to my Hussar single coil RTA. The Hussar is a bit more finicky to get the hang of though. Flavor on both is very close, but Hussar can dial up to a bit more loose (DL) airflow, with literally NO loss of flavor quality. Also (IMO), kudos for the ultem tank (I prefer over glass, but know that is a personal choice), and the 5 ml tank capacity with Steam Tuners mod upgrade (I am a mega-chain
vaper!).
The Prime wins hands-down on price, and has a bigger/better aftermarket modification shopping.
Bottom Line: Overall, it's a photo finish, with the Hussar winning by a hair. Both are awesome RTA's, and it is a treat to use both daily.
You could take all of my other tanks, and I would still be a happy camper with just these two!!
Just my two-cents, carry on!

Sounds like you need either a Calix v3 or v4 from ByLeo to add to that challenge!

Off topic, but the Calix line of atomizers has been the ONLY tank to knock my Kayfuns off their throne...or rather, share the throne!

To this day, even though my Prime gets some action, along with a KFL...the only tanks I use are Calix’ and Kayfun 4’s...

That being said, I DO love my Prime, and have considered buying another.

So glad they came out with it, after the Kayfun 5 let me down so badly.

Thanks for the tip - I will have to check this one out. Always looking to find the "perfect tank"! The Prime could very well be it held just one or two more ml's of juice (without needing the add-on), and had perhaps one slightly larger airflow hole....

I actually like everything about the Kayfun 5 except the flavor. Have tried a myriad of things, but it is always to muted - I think the chimney is too big to get the flavor concentration right.

I whole-heartedly agree with you about the Prime needing just one more air slot on the larger size!

Calix V4 ordered today - thanks for the tip, HBCorpse!

Be prepared for the need to “learn” again, as the Calix has always had a very interesting approach to deck design.

Also reconsider your standard/go-to build (if you have one), as I found myself that I needed one less wrap due to the coil leg length for the Calix.

If you’re firmly rooted in your ways, or desire to only use tanks that accommodate a standard build you love, it may not be your favorite tank.

I, for one, relished the feeling of having to “learn” something new with the original Calix, and again with the Calix v4 “new” style deck (which is standard to the v4).

In order to bring this post back to the topic:
The Prime deck is smaller compared to the Calix.

But the Prime has a legacy design, owing much to the original Kayfun/Lite, but also including elements of the v5/MiniV3.

Do you know about the Kayfun 5² (AKA 5 Squared)? It looks to be simply an enlarged version of the Prime with more air and a much larger tank. Here in Europe it is the same price as the Prime.

Edit: and 25mm

Thank you for the tips - I will let you know my thoughts once I receive and get a few days of use. It may take a bit, as I did not upgrade shipping (from Greece) as I have no urgent need.
What pushed me over the edge was a video I found on Youtube for the V3 - seems very unique, and I love the direct wick concept (sort of like one of my old Taifun's).

The K5 / K Prime decks are my favorite to build on!! With the big screw heads & side bars, you can practically do a simple coil build in the dark. That (and the pop-up adjustable air flow holes) was one of my favorite changes in the K5 over the older models.

Hi Deemac - Thanks for the tip. I did check out the K5 squared. Interesting atty, but not enough unique feature from the K5 (which I already have) to push me over to buy.
My next atty will probably be a Skyliner, but I am waiting for the hype on them to die out a bit. I tend to favor the well-built relatively unknown items (I say as I am vaping a Hussar on a Mini E-cig by Chels!).

The last tank I bought was either a calix or tilehamos armed, I decided on the armed and now wish I had gone with the calix. After 2 months of use, I am just not as pleased with it as I should. It vapes pretty good, but it's not as good as a km3 or prime. I'm going to sell it and try the calix as my next tank

I was not very impressed with the Skyline. Impeccably built. Hard to even describe how solid and beautifully built it is. Best I’ve ever seen. But vaping wise it just didn’t suit me for mouth to lung and I honestly believe the flavour is vastly improved on the Prime. I think the skyline might be suited to someone using a lower resistance build and higher wattage. Just my experience though. Prime is the best tank I’ve used. Tilemahos Armed is another good tank, but again, not as good as any Kayfun.

Just ordered my Kayfun Prime and looking forward to receiving it. After a near 2 year vaping journey (no cigs for 5 months now) and weeks of research I feel it'll be the tank for me. Been through the Vaporesso route initially and enjoyed getting into Sub-Ohm and enjoy the Goon 1.5 now and then. Yet I always found MTL my favourite and the Nautilus 2 has great flavour but the tank is definitely flawed. Tried a Berserker Mini which give very good flavour but is the Nautilus 2 of self builds - in that it floods and at the end of the day and gets jammed far too easily. Hoping the Prime live up to my eager anticipations...
