Have you tried either the 5 or the Mini V3?
No, I only have KP. I reckon 5 is too airy? My Prime is set on the first air hole, I prefer tight draw. So didn't consider 5 based on others reviews. Mini v3 is too tall.
I take Kabuki with me when I go out, but to be honest now that I have mastered the coils on KP (atleast I think so :) ) I am not using Kabuki that much anymore. So planning to get 1 more KP to take with me when I leave home.

What features do you want that the Prime does not offer?

Well, thanks to a tasty salt nic juice, I’ve dialed my Prime down to the tightest airflow.

Feels weird to MTL again.

Probably gonna set the Provape Radius down, and dust off a Provari tube mod in 18350 mode.

1-1.2ohm build @ 10-14watts

I used to get all day battery life with a build like that, on an 18350 Provari.

On the note of Provari...........Got myself a Dicodes Mini Box last week. Smaller than the Radius, and temp control is great on it. Really solid device. Will say that the buttons on the Radius are better, but all around solid device. Got it for about 240.00 (US dollars) from Creme De Vape. Took about 10 days for me to get it from the UK to Utah.

Mysterious behavior while coiling and it’s simple solution:

During working on my second coil with my new Coilmaster I had constant jumping Ohms from around 0,7 up to 3,5 and more and back again.
The slightest touch on the coil or the screws made the value jump crazily.
I played around for a long time without any improvement.
Even slight pushing the coil master itself, not even the Kayfun, made the Ohm Display jump up and down.
To make the story short:
The center screw (plus pole) was not screwed in tightly.
All other tanks I have this screw is used for adjusting to different plus pole distances.
On the Kayfun it is NOT adjustable but seems to keep the whole thing together and must be locked very tight.
If Not the many small internal parts seem to be waggling around constantly changing the inner resistance of the deck.
My coil was fine with completely stable 1,1 Ohm As soon as I had tightened this screw.

I got mine yesterday, I am just using it in power mode. I took it to work for the first time today, the small size is awesome. The menu confused me at first, but figured it out. First impressions, it was worth the money. :)

Yes, the menu does take some time getting used to.

Regarding the KayFun Prime. Does anyone else dread wrapping a new coil? The Prime isn't the worse by any means. Maybe, I just haven't done it enough to master it. But it seems like it always hits different. Maybe just not enough wraps/too many wraps/spacing. I should throw a new ss316l coil in my Prime, but blah.

Nope. I make about a dozen coils at a time. They're all the same (SS316L). Now and again I put a new one in when they get deformed. I make spaced coils. Just let the spring in the wire space them. 26ga., 7 wraps, 2.0 mm dia. 0.42ish ohms

I don't really think it's the coil as much as the wicking....I use 26g kanthal slightly spaced at 2.38mm , 6 wraps which is about .7 ohms and I space it about 1.3 to 1.5 mm away from airhole. it's all I use now in every rta I have....the coil is always the same , so there shouldn't be any variables but the wicking is kind of hard to reproduce exactly the same each and every time. even after 7 years of rebuilding, there are times I don't get it right...maybe 1 out of every 5 rewicks, I can notice that I did something not to perfection, but I definitely know what I did wrong just by the slight symptoms , so I rewick it again...imo the kayfuns are slightly picky with wicking and if not done exactly right, the vape does suffer....i have other rta's that I can slap in a wick and not worry because it doesn't matter but the km3 and prime need pretty exact wicking amounts....

I tend to keep making my wicks shorter and then suddenly here comes a dry hit. I know right away what the problem is. As you say, about every 5th wick or so.

I think the leaking is coming from the wick. Yes, I agree the coil is a little too close to the airhole. Also, move the wicks to the outside of the well.
